These guys are slightly annoying, as there are only 2 or 3 of them up at any given time. The easiest way to take care of them for the quest "The Stones That Bind Us" is to kill the one in the cave near the ogres (50, 44 ish). The stone repops about 2 minutes before the actual mob does, and the actual mob has about a 5 min respawn.

Make SURE you kill them relatively close to their stones of binding! Otherwise it won't activate and the mob will be invincible (you will have to reset).

How the hell do you kill these things? you knock'em to zero life they look like they are 'banished' says to strike the stone by them .. I see the stone.. it's not attackable. what's the deal?

You have to be close to the stone.

You must attack the guy BESIDE the stone FIRST before he turns into the glowing thing. Then you attack the stone, then kill him. So dont attack him away from the stone.

Not to sounds as if it is pie, but all you have to do is get yourself into the cave at deadmire hold (southwest of netherguard)and stand at the very back by a long shard, and die if you have to. Then there should be a huminoid walking back and forth from the cave called "sevant of grol." wait til he's in the cave and aggro him....pull him back besdie the long shard and get him down to 0hp

then when he becomes transparent a gear should come over the shard....hit it, kill him and your done. just wait at hte back of the cave for two more to spawn and your done!

but make sure you have The Stones that bind Us.

Oh and if you don't have the quest these guys are awesome to help bring up your weapon skillz. Get em down to baneshed....and hit away! It rocks!

This guy was trained all the way to IF a multiple amount of times on blackhand.

Pretty funny, when about 30 guards get on him along with 100 people that want skillups :p

can't train them to IF... maybe something was changed, but this mob refused to cross the line from Black Rock Mountain to Searing Gorge, it would just stand there :(. Spent an hour and a half getting him that far.

LIKE WOAH.... the servant guy appeared/summoned somehow in the the royal throne thingy. In Ironforge I mean

According to what everyone says on this website you have to get these magical stones or you keep getting your weapon skills up. Now in Iron Lag, everyone is attacking him and getting their skills up even though he has like a smidge of health left on his health bar.

SO BUY BUY BUY the weapons in IF to get your skill up....... or grab the stones and stop him!

Absolutely brilliant advice, thank you. I just ran through to the back of the cave - the ogres will follow and kill you but none actually stand in the cave so once you respawn you are safe to sit and wait for the servant.

As has been said above you hit the servant until he becomes transparent, then wait a second and you will be able to hit the stone (which looks like a long thin brown diamond suspended in the air). If you can't at first hit the stone, keep moving your mouse over it until the activation wheel appears. Then hit the servant one more time.

I waited for approx 5 mins for the stone to respawn (in perfect non-aggro safety) then perhaps another 2 minutes for the servant to respawn.

You find Servants of Grol outside the Dreadmaul Hold. They are a bit hidden, and make sure you look for the stone first so you don't run around like headless chicken! I found two there.

Another one I found in the Dreadmaul Post, inside the cave. That's in the middle of Blasted Lands.

The two servants are IN the hold, but outside. amongst the ogres. the stones are amongst the catapult thingies near the fortress itself.

Tonight someone got one of these into StormWind. Everyone who came by took swings at the guy just to get their skills up. I took my bow skills from 1 to 159 and my unarmed skills up to 292. Kinda boring but an easy way to improve your skills.

Theses guys are amazing for leveling your weapon skill.

Even at level 70, I still come here to level my weapon skills. Being a warrior in defensive stance I have more than enough health to attack this mob for about a half an hour until I need to run away.

I highly suggest using these guys to level any weapon skill (besides ranged) that you need. Even as I type I'm leveling up my one handed sword skill ^.^

someone kited him all the way into ironforge, into the throne room... hundreds of people there and they couldn't kill him, of course. At least 30 of them suicided trying to kite him into the lava... I think eventually a GM came in and removed him...

They were trying to kill a quest mob, which can only be killed by whacking a nearby stone, by luring him thousands of relative yards away from said stone?

Yup. Sounds like the Alliance.

well sombody dragged him in IF teranis server. Don't know when it got there as of 5:05 am servertime still in throne room will update if still here later

Attack them away from their stones so they become invincible and no longer attack. Great way to raise your weapon skills.
