As a level 34 Rouge these guys where a tad bit tough to kill, kept swinging and missing and would have to bandage after each kill.
But all in all it's doable at that level.

These panthers are stealthed by the way. On the other hand, they seem to drop their claws with a 100% drop rate when on the quest

These are not as hard to find as people make them to be, especially as a hunter. Although Track Stealth is not the most useful skill in the world, it can be if you know how to use it. These panthers seem to like hanging around trees, so drop flares around trees and as soon as the flares light up the panthers, they will show on Track Stealth and you've got them.

i wandered 2 hours through the spawn places never saw a panther lower than lvl 37 are these people sure theres ones lower?

i've searched a long time and couldn't find one lower than lvl 37.
can be tammed, but is not the first pet with prowl.
Mountain Lion (32-33, Alterac Mountains) has also "PROWL 1".
and you can learn it from the pet.

To answer the questions here: yes, they can stealth if you train them in Prowl.

ppl said there were some lvl 32 Shadowmaw Panthers east or west of the Venture Co. Base. ive looked in that area for 3 hours with Track Hidden on and they rnt near it. the lvl 37-38 Shadowmaw Panthers r near there but not the 32. so if any1 going to look for a lvl 32 1 give up unless ppl can PROVE me wrong.

It says it can be found in the Hinterlands, but they are found in Stranglethorn Vale

these things piss me off! lol im a lvl 27 hunter and i want one as a pet but obviously i cant get one :( but everytime im running around trying to grind or gain exp they always come up behind me even with my track stealth ability and kill me! haha kinda funny i guess......but what is like the best place for me to grind for a lvl 27 hunter almost lvl 30 cause i have so much blue on me

yes, the shadowmaw panthers can be tamed, the only question is.... WHERE THE HELL DO YOU FIND THE LVL 32-35 ONES?/ (i'm a lvl 33 hunter and i cant find the low lvl ones, i wana hide on the 3rd floor in warsong gluch and ambush people in the 2nd floor... i'm evil on the 3rd floor)

the stv panther mastery quest is such a pain,,farmed for like 2 hours at least.where king banglash is and was very troubled by the respawn rate indeed!

I have done my best to provide Map Mouseovers for each and every beast, wherever possible!
Unfortunately some do not yet have maps, but these will automatically be added to this post when they're added to the NPC's page.

They don't show up on hunter's track hidden minimap. At least not without using flares.

It appears that these may swap spawn points with 荆棘谷雌虎.
I'm looking for 深喉猎豹, but see mostly 荆棘谷雌虎.

Took me a while to realize I was missing them while walking over them.

Spam tab target while running over their spawns and hopefully this wont happen to you.

Also if you're watching a video/listening to audio careful its not too loud because they also give a sound queue when you walk close to one.
