This is the best non dagger weapon for rogues pre-Burning Crusades.

Fun fact: It also happens to be the only sword that drops from an end boss in a raid instance. This privilege was previously monopolized by daggers (Perditions - Rags, Death's Sting - C'Thun).

Alot of speculation, rumors, and overall confussion rattled around while naxx was in its beta phases all the way up to when the first one drop live.

It was believe when the sword hit live it was renamed to The hungering cold. In all reality there are two sword drops from kel'thuzad. Many melee got their panties in a bunch over the possibility of it being nerfed to a hungering cold.

They are two very differen't weapons from the same boss. Kel'thuzard is the only boss that drops two one handed swords currently in the game.

This is currently the most powerful one-handed sword in the Game, it is the most desirable non dagger weapon for a rouge and drops from Kel'thuzad

Speed of tank weapons matter less with 2.0. With Devastate, this is the best Tank weapon imo. Huge top end damage would give you some killer Devastate numbers and killer threat production. Nice stamina boost too.

This drops of Kel'Thuzad which means most of you probably don't have a chance to get it yet but might be close. In my opinion it is one of the best weapons for a dps warrior or rogue. So keep fighting your way through Naxxramas and soon enough this will be yours.

Got this beaut last week... getting about 1200 average SS on sundered mobs, using Iblis as an offhand till I get my other binding (if I ever do). Very secksy, and first on my cluster. :)

Other rogues, if you get this, I will rend you limb from limb and mangle the remains until there is no recognizable remnant left. Fury warriors, you ARE NOT rogues in plate. No. Shut up. You're stupid. Hunters, screw you. Not only does no one care about hunters except for hunters, go ninja a Claymore of Unholy Might off an arms warrior. I will out dps you all with this. Slow speed, high dps? That's combat rogue gear. Warriors, you can go fight over Hungering Cold after I get one for my offhand. That's warrior gear. Except for me because it will make a nice offhand.

Yes this is a rouge weapon,and moust of the ppl that want it for a warrior are so greedy that they would prolly roll even on staffs...
But let me tell u smt about this and THC:
THC is a main tank first,then rouges,than any noob that wants it.
GDoR is a rouge first,then any1 else that wants it.
PS And hunters-F**k off u hunters,you are supose to be a caster class u DONT need owning melee weapons u need weapons with bonuses.u may call me n00b but hunters are even better with staffs HUNTER IS A CASTER CLASS!

About the "this is not a Fury Warrior Weapon" B.S.?

This is burst damage in PvP. If you don't PvP, then you're right. This sword is not Fury Warrior material. Thunderfury+the sword with armor on it is better.

For those saying this is good for "hunters" too are you all retarded? No seriously, this is a good weapon for warriors, great for rogues. and thats it. A hunter should only get this 2 two terms: Looks and finally if no one else wants it.

Okay so 40 AP and 15 stamina is like WOW!. but so what? go to ZG kill bloodlord and get the hakkari war blades, it gives the same amount of Attack power. okay so you want the stamina aswell. If you guild can make it this far, by no means should you have trouble in BWL, get Askhandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood, +86 attack power and 33 stamina. Im positive by that time the time your warriors roll on this they all have much better then that 2h of nef.

And one more thing, why would you even consider rolling on this? when you can get Iblis, Blade of fallen saraph and Claw of the frostwyrm? Both with +crit, +hit, and AP.

But seriously just because it's one of the best 1H, theres no reason why a hunter should take this away from a melee, as there so much better alternatives for hunter.

ok lets not lie.I know hunter want AP, stamina.I know fury warriors want AP,stamina.But then again, hunters get <eye of nerub>, warriors get <might of menethil> (althou it is a MS warrior weapon, if a fury warrior gets it, i bet he will spec MS :P).

This sword,is the best Sinister Strike weapon currently in game.With this baby i bet SS crits can go well over 1500,if not dare maybe around 2k ish, or more.
On my combat rogue i would usualy sell my kidney for this babe, but since BC comes out, it will probably by outwitted by some lvl 67 sword "of the monkey".
Still, it is a very very very good combat rogue weapon.

Thats an awesome sword, but it would spoil the fun of upgrading gear in the expansion imo. You'll have to wait for karazhan or the black citadel to find anything better.

you know i'm pretty irritated about the other classes i'm a paladin and as you all should know a pala is a hybrid and 1 of the most lifesaving classes in the game................... who the @#$% do you think heals al you rogues when you are whacking crazy on a boss and gets to much aggro and almost die. a priest? dont think so cause he's busy healing more important peeps like MT and the other tanks. if you all rogue and warr whiners wouød even try to play a paladin up to an epic level yuo will see how stupid the other classes are beeing to pallies when i comes to wepons i my bself likes 1h swords better cause of the extra armor you get from a shield and makes you harder to kill since i'm retribution /holy i do dps as long as there is enough priest dr00ds to heal and all rogues and warrs are prob laughing now cause i said i do dps but i have done lots of duels against both warrs and rogues i'm almost all blue exept some epics like dragon's call and i have killed a tier 1-2 warr with the quiraij sword and Q'S and a full T2 rogue with no problems and i didn't use bubble. the point here is dont underestimate a pala that knows how to play his class and btw when it comes 2 1 handers we are almost the last class to get anything worth using in this game and i do dps well i crit like 1.6k-2.2k dps with SoC dont come say that SoC is a 2 hit crit cause it aint that SoC is like an extra swing with the sword 0,1sec after the main hit
and if you say that palas should go for + healing or + spelldmg weel think again cause there we are in the last line too i did even outbid on azuresong mageblade cause of the good + spelldmg and healing stats but i got flamed by all the locks priest and mages about that wep where only for their class so i say give the paladin class some room to breathe in so we may help you better when you are about to die.....................and btw if you say a pala is easy to lvl try to go a other way than just holy spec it makes it a lot more harder i have been tanking with retri spec all the way up to 60 and even tanked drakki without problems and what class is the only 1 that can save a whole party from whipe with only a simple button?-.......Paladin you guessed right we are a ton of machinery that kills and save lifes

This has 1 more max damage than an Arcanite Reaper
Basically wielding a MUCH faster Arcanite Reaper with one hand
