I just snagged this last night on my prot warrior. While it's a great druid tanking rang I think prot warriors have a stab at this too, just because it's hard to get +hit in your tanking gear.

Glad to see this ring identified as a very good druid ring. Having sufficient +hit while tanking in bear can be the difference between generating aggro or getting your group / raid wiped. It's certainly not a bad prot ring, but could do with a little defense considering the item level.

Druids can tank/heal/dps just about as well as any other class. I have seen many druids heal way more then any priest. And i have seen druids tank raid bosses. So most of your comments are false. I say learn to play your class imo, either that or stop raiding with greens.

Lol you need to wake up and smell the roses Telumindi, or whatever your name is, druids make awsome tanks with well equipped gear. Maybe you should investiagate feral tank druids, before attempting razorgore ;), just a tip, until then head your guildmaster arse, and the rest of your guild back to that big bad boy Luci.

First off, let me state, I am a Druid, I've been specced Balance, Feral, and currently am Resto, I have played all specs in Raid instances (40 mans, not 20 mans). Leaving the math aside, a warrior is a better tank then a Druid, hands down. We don't have the ability to Parry, or Block, we have no Sheild Wall, or Last Stand. There's something that people like DeDruid need to learn, Druids are the jack of all trades, master of None, there is no one single thing we can do best (except I beleive were better for healing single targets better then priests, but thats another discussion), we cannot tank better then warriors, we cannot be as good as a Rogue (Vanish > All), we cannot heal our group better then a Priest (PoH > Tranq, which btw you shouldn't even be using), and we cannot do DPS better then Mages/Locks.

However on that note, we can do things those classes cannot, making us nice to have around. We can tank mobs that require high AC, or immune to Poly (Patchwerk, Jindo) we are very viable Off-tanks, which can allow really good DPS warriors to DPS, we can provide another form of DPS aside from Rogues, we can heal single targets better then priests (In my opinion, but many healers agree were great single target healers), and we provide strong Arcane Damage in Moonkin form, soemthing no other class really does (Moonkin with Starfire > Arcane Missles).

With the 25 man hard raid cap in the Burning Crusade a Druid with the ability to do multiple things is magnified even more (GG bag space).

So basically to reiterate my point, Warriors are better MTs then Druids, PERIOD. We are great Off-tanks and in a bad situation we can MT until the other Druids BR, heal, and buff the MT up to take back over. Which is why I beleive that one Feral Druid in a guild is never a bad thing, as long as that Feral Druid knows his place, on those nights when your short on healing he'd best be in his +healing gear.

To DeDruid, get over yourself, Druids are not better tanks then Warriors, if they were you'd see Warriors leave the game like they did in EQ.

...........Back to the item in question - this IS A lot more use to a druid than a Warrior - I tank Naxx,Aq,BWL etc (as Warrior not Druid) and tbh this combined with the 150 AC ring for a druid is 1 helluva lot more use than for a warrior. I'd rather have the +18 Def Superior AD turn in Ring than this for tanking and as our 2nd tank happens to be a 15k AC 7.7khp Feral Druid i'd hate to see it go to any other class. (On a side note Yes we take less dmg as a warrior but Dr00ds do have that rejuv thingy in bear form! - i should really pay attention to the spell names but im too busy tanking. Oh and +24 Stam for a bear is like an extra 500ish hp innit with that feral thingy?)

RANT: If you wanted to tank, you should've rolled a warrior, stupid druids. Get in the back, heal and shut the hell up.

NON RANT: That said, let's take a sec to look at this ring. Not every warrior ring needs to have defense on it, particularly with how much defense dreadnaught has. If you knew anything about warriors, you'd know that anything over 440 with regards to defense is overkill, so if you're a tank and can break 440 with no problem, why not sacrifice a few wasted defense points and get a +1% hit?

Answer: because then you'd be smart.

Can druid tanks use this ring, sure. Is it 'better' for druids, no. It depends on your situation/level of gear as a tank.

Hi, I'm a prot warr and I got this ring tonight, I think it is situationaly good for warriors. If you want to do the math, the ZG Overlord's ring set is better for mitigation (with 2 dodge)

However, in cases where a warrior needs to land taunts or sunders more than dodging big hits, such as tanking naxx-trash or bosses that don't necessarily hit hard, this ring is very good.

Druids: you will either rarely or never main tank. The t3 armor sets are made specifically tailored to what role your class should play, go look @ dreamwalker.

Stop hiding behind armor, it's NOT defense.

Just picked this ring up on my Warrior. I guess I'll sidestep the stupid drama posts by Druids. It amazes me that there's still Druid players dumb enough to think they're on par or better than Warriors as Tanks. If Druids are so great, then how come in every 40-man raiding guild, on every server, on every contintent, in all of World of Warcraft, a Warrior is the MT? Oh, because Warriors are better tanks. Deal with it.

Anyway, this ring is good for Warriors. 24 stamina is fantastic, and the +Hit is great, too. There's a lot of sensitive fights in Naxx where missing some swings or Sunders will hurt your threat retention badly. And a little more armor never hurt. The lack of defense isn't really a big deal, since most Warriors in a position to get this are already near the effective Defense cap (as far as crit/crush mitigation goes), and probably have enough block to help mitigate a lot of the other crits and crushes that Defense may miss.

That said, this is a realy good Druid tank ring, too. The boon it provides to a Druid's tanking ability is probably even greater than it provides to a Warrior's. Druids survive off high armor and high hit points...this ring gives both. But since Warriors are the ones tanking in raids, they should get dibs on it first.

Either way, the thing drops off Razuvious, so it's hardly worth arguing about - you'll see plenty of this ring.

For all those who claim that druids can't tank past mc need to rethink the way they see druids. I for one am a feral druid, and I DO tank past mc. I tank or offtank every boss in bwl except nef. I also tank in aq40 and naxx. Don't believe me?

I've seen a lot better rings for warriors for tanking than a ring that gives more to block and the other stuff like parry you UBER warriors keep saying is better than anything the druids can get. So why not concede that this ring is better for druid tanks than it for you since whatever you see in the way of armor bonus for you is muliplied by 5.5 for druids? As far as tanking goes Druids can handle tons of end game bosses in all instances 5-40 man. Would I want a druid tanking Rag, Nef or any boss that does tons of magic dmg not a chance in hell. I've lvld every class to lvl 60 except shaman and pally and have found my druid a better tank in many situations in both end game and 5 man instances. But there have been numerous bosses that only my warrior could tank. Now I have yet to find a boss my warrior couldn't tank just saying on several my druid tanked a lot easier.

For all of the fuss over which class tanks better I find it more comes down to the player not the class. I've seen Tier 3 warrior tanks get smoked then watched a mixed druid who went was in a mix set step in and easily tank the same mob that mopped the floor with the warrior only seconds before. My guild has let me tank in both since I have the common sense to play the right class for the fight.

So this may just be my opinion but to say that druids are worthless tanks is just narrowminded. granted they have their weaknesses but lets be honest if druids made better tanks on every boss why would anyone play warrior? Also there is nothing better than watching a druid switch forms to drop an innervate on his priest. I've never been able to do that on the end bosses but I've done it on PuG ZG runs the comments I got were priceless.

There's plenty of high-DPS fights in Naxxramas, so this one isn't exactly crap for a tank. Endgame tanking items use to have +hit on them (check out the Dreadnaught Spaulders, Mark of C'Thun or Cryptfiend Silk Cloak), to maximaze threat generated.

Druids are NOT allowed to bid their dkp on cleary Def Items like this.. NO Druide of our guild will tank something in Naxxramas, not even AQ40 or BWL. Druids bid on Cloth Healing Items.. Kay.. let them do.. Druids bid on Leather melee Equip.. Well okay.. Druids sure bid on Leather healing items.. OK.. But dont even start with Def Equip.. Feral Druids arent even allowed at or guild. CAUSE.. Bear Druids are not so good at tanking as Warrios.. In cat form they dont to the same damage as Rogues.. Druids are very nice healers, and that´s how it should be..

Anyway, it´s a very nice Warrior Ring.
24 Stamina are nice and the 1% hit is very nice for Naxx. And 140 are even great for warrios, some boss fights need tanks with only high armor. So very nice tanking equip.

Probably the best tanking ring for bears in the game.

The lack of def/parry/block/etc and 140 armor (uber for bears) makes me think it was intended to be used by druids.

This is a great warrior ring.

Any warrior who has access to this will already have at least 420 defense in their tanking set. Right now I have over 440. More +hit for those sunders and mocking blows is much more valuable to me at this point.

I would love to trade in my heavy dark iron ring for this one.
