on alliance side I'd give this to pallies first since they can't use eye of the beast. Two crit is a crap load of regen for them. I might see it go to a lock but any mage that takes this is just an idiot (until the patch comes atleast).

I actually like this trinket very much, it will save your life on things such as the Heigan gauntlet where you have to AoE a lot. If you just want a item with threat reduction, then the Fetish of the Sand Reaver is superior in that regard.

While I'm not saying it's "x class only", this would be most excellent for warlocks, who typically have trouble with threat management.

Either way, it's great for all casters.

I think the priority for this should be with mages and warlocks. Healers (except druids maybe) have other means of reducing aggro (fade etc.) and if your healers every actually pull aggro off of the MT then it's over anyway.
As far as I know there's only one other trinket with threat-reduction, however, since this also has spell-crit. I'd reckommend that mages and warlocks should have this first.
(That's just my opinion, ok^^)

Btw, just ignore the "hunter-item" posts. Show some pity instead, those people must lead really lonly lives.

Nice upgrade from Eye of the Beast for either mage or lock, all other class should wait for pass in my opinion. As a mage i can say that we dont need agroreduce, so this would be be best for a lock, as they lack it.

Better to let the warlocks have thier -threat trinkets. Mages can deal with threat much better anyhow. I never pull aggro away from the main tank these days with all the new 1.11 tricks us mages now have so -threat trinkets have lost thier value to anyone but a warlock...

priests like me dont really like useing prayer of healing because its so dam affective! two of them with group on low hp, will get u any adds for sure if not the boss, fade dont help that much!

prayer + ZHC + this = 8000 healing + minamal agro

crits = + armour :)

Dictionary.com's definition for "Diminution"-

1.
1. The act or process of diminishing; a lessening or reduction.
2. The resulting reduction; decrease.

So it fits with the aggro-reduction effect.

I'd give this to any caster who needed it, but I'd be much happier if it went to someone who also had a crit spec. For example, some healing Priests go all out on +healing and +mana, but not on +crit, and unless you have crit bonuses, this pendant wouldn't give a healer much more than an ocasional overheal (and extra aggro).

So, yeah, I'd give it to any caster who was using talents to boost their criticals. ^^

Pallies can't use eye of the beast so for anyone except them the threat reducer is the only upgrade. In open bidding I would be very surprised if other classes wanted to pay what pallies will for this. Crit is a hugely important stat for them as it both increases their healing and makes all crits free mana wise.

Locks would benefit most from this coz they have no wai to fade/iceblock....so if they get aggro=X..X warlock.......so many guilds have a different system although many classes could use this i'm not saying not, but according to me it makes sense that a warlock would benefit greatly from this.

The Mage -threat talents got nerfed (and hear this- Warlocks had THEIR -threat buffed. How's that for WTF? As if having a pet, more durable, and rivaling a Mage's damage wasn't enough) Meh, Mages should take it if they want, though I'd wear Neltharion's Tear + Restrained Essence.

Certainly DPS casters are going to want this, but I'm not sure how badly.

Those that are going to have access to it from Naxx will likely already have a shot at Fetish of the Sand Reaver which provides far more aggro reduction. The addition of the +2 crit makes it nice for dps, but the aggro reduction is probably not enough to run in and mass AOE bomb a mob (they will likely still come and eat you).

If you notice the T3 priest set has a very nice 4 item bonus:
"4 pieces: On Greater Heal critical hits, your target will gain Armor of Faith, absorbing up to 500 damage."

If you look at the full set, there's not one item that has +to crit. It's all stats, plus healing, and mana5.

Now go find me a ring, necklace, or cape that's healing focused that has +to crit.

Or better yet, don't bother, you won't find one.

There's the priest staff (hopefully you've upgraded this by Naxx, or will soon after), there's a mediocre 1h hammer in ZG (which again hopefully you've upgraded).

Now you can pick up some dps caster items like the Twin Emps off hand, or some rings that have damage/heal that have crit, but you won't find any high quality +healing only items anywhere with +to crit.

Why would a healer want the aggro redux? Well it probably depends on your style and how hard you heal, if you heal on a pull, etc. I'm a priest with over 800-900 +heal depending on my gear, and by the time I'm done with Naxx it'll easily top +1000 healing. I expect my aggro situation won't vastly improve. Single bosses aren't a problem, but when there are bosses or mobs that add, or dump aggro, they tend to find me very tasty. This is because I spam large direct heals, and AOE prayer heals. Other healing methods like renew, are less aggro intensive, but high impact healing, especially when there's a lot of adds can get a lot of things very angry at you.

By the time you've upgraded to T3, you'll find the fixed aggro reduction of Fade simply inadequate. It reduces aggro by a exact amount that does not scale with gear, while you're healing for far more per spell, and generating a great deal more healing aggro.

I'd want this both to get procs from inspiration, and the T3 four piece bonus. And I'd use the aggro reduction aspect of it frequently.

I'm warlock (horde one, so no -30 passive) and I have Fetish of the Sand Reaver but even with my damage current damage and Fetish, I can't go all out--> so more damage trinks are useless and in Naxx my overall damage will increase anyway with T3, so this is my trinket number two. I think mages will go towards Restrained Essence of Sapphiron and Nethalion's Tear combination?

I would say it's pure horde warlock trinket :)

Actually no this is not that bad for paladin if they are illumination spec. I got both mage and paladin myself, I would much rather take this for my pally than mage -_-. There are so much better alternatives for mage, this one is just another eye of the beast for a mage. GZ If you are so far in Naxxramas and still lack Neltharion's Tear!

A warlock the improved shadowbolt talent has X chance to get 4 charges of 20% more dmg where X is his crit% rate.
So, if he has 25% crit, he will theoratically replenish his debuff and get perma 20% dmg and many many crits.
Thats why this trinket is good for reaching up to that 25% (15% from gear that is)

For the few of you who are lucky enough to play enhancement in raids - this is pretty sick. Consider how you hold back massively at the start of a fight due to lucky WFs potentially costing you your life, and how 2% extra spell crit for elemental devastation and 35% less threat could help you, especially as it perfectly lines up with the duration and cooldown from Slayer's Crest (assuming you can pop them both at once)
