Blows Breastplate of Annihilation out of the water. I personally can't wait to replace my BPoA with this beauty. Not sure what the art looks like, but to be honest, I don't really care. Crazy gear!

Well, the name suggests that it's either Thaddius, Grobbulus or Patchwerk in the Abomination wing (since "ripcage" leaves Gluth out), though it might come from trash mobs, too.

Anyway, nice warrior/paladin breast-plate.

I can see the future... paladins and druids will be tanking or dealing damage, while the rest outheals every priest. But only a few priests will concentrate on healing, since most fight in shadowform for the top on the damage-meters together with rouges, mages, feral-druids, paladins and fury-warriors.

In short: do whatever you want, as long as your raid can support it and agrees.
For example I used to focus on healing with my druid. Then me and another druid respecced to feral, picked up some nice tanking equip and from then on we were tanking MC, along with three other warriors.
The other warriors were more than happy to get out their DD-equip and give the rouges a run for their money.

Therefore seeing a paladin with this should not surprise you, since any raid, successful enough to raid in Naxxramas, will distribute their loot responsibly, while at the same time respect the whishes of its members.

well, paladins can do scary damage with strength /AP and crit alone but what they lose compare to a warrior is a controllable DPS. Also one thing, comparing the paladin and warrior with the exact same gear and weapon, when SoC + melee crit at the sametime, the damage done say on a warrior is a lot more than a mortal strike on a warrior with same AC. But what sucks about it is that when SoC procs, it counts as 2 hits instead of like MS 1 strike. If a paladin has a 20% chance to crit, he only has 4% chance out of all the SoC proc to see both SoC + melee crit at the same time.

spell damage and int gives the paladin controllable DPS, and all those are magic, meaning they go through armor. Unless a paladin has a ton of mana for their DPS gear, it's quite pointless to get pure melee gear. Work your way hard to marshal so you can get the marshal gloves and boots and mix those with avenger gear and the new grand crusader gear. You will heal decent and do decent spell damage and do pretty good melee damage.

You should always give yourself more options from gear than focusing on just one single aspect of your class.

For some reason other warriors I've talked to said they don't plan on picking this item up because its only "marginally" better than bp of annihilation, but I think its amazing and would definitely go for it even though I currently have annihilation.

I agree with having a hybrid class and playing all the roles, but until blizz makes it possible for pallys to do well on the dps charts, and/or tank around the level of a warrior/feral druid then theres no point in arguing over this, warrior chest.

For Paladins Avenger Armor is a little better. Ret Paladins need mana, if you have too little mana and always save your mana for healing, your damage can't be as high as pallies who have enough mana to cast more seals and judgements.

Ret pal usually get more boost from items which has more kinds of attributes than pure physical items(Though not always, Mentor's Girdle is better than Grand Crusader). Items with High str and low sta are usually for Fury warriors to DPS.

If I were a warrior, this would be my Naxx DPS choice, in PvP conqueror is just as good but a lot easier.
