This is probably the best offhand mace for a rogue right now. The only competition that it may have is Anubisath Warhammer which may prove better because it provides weapon skill. (1.12)

One of my guilds lead rogues is using this in his main hand and the Misplaced Servo Arm (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=23221), and his DPS is pretty incredible. Definitely worth it for a rogue if you aren't dagger spec'ed.

Someone's just wrong, i think the End of Dreams will look different than expected, when I look at the item symbol of the Castrator.

Totally a Hunter weapon.....wait....HUNTERS CANT USE MACES. You fools....

This really would make a DPS warriors dreams. For me though, i have a twisted PvE/PvP build with both mace and sword spec.

For the PvP i duel weild 2 Ebon Hands. The stuns from Mace spec own people all day. I use my swords in raiding. I would totally take this for PvP. Its a no brainer. This mace would up my overall damage by about 50! The crits with this thing would make anyone cry.

So really Warrior weapon but for the obtuse Rogue this thing will own.

As a human rogue i looking forward to get this thing for offhand (already got the Servoarm)

So with the next patch the roguetalent review comes and we get weapon experise in the combattree. Every Sword/Fist/Combatdaggerrogue will go 4 it to reduce the glaicing blows in high end raids

This means a lot of rogues will spec 18/33/0

But the macespec is special, it got the 5skillpoints for maces within making a 20/31/0 without losing important talents

In fact u get one of this with your 2 more skillpoints:
30%longer SnD
or 4%more demage against Humanoids
or 8% posindmg
or 4% higher chance for poisinproccs
or 100% chance ro remove srares with sprint
or 1,5 min shorter cooldowns on evasion and sprint
or 40% chance on a finisher to gain a combopoint
or 10%more demage with Eviscerate
or 100% chance on kick to silence for 2 sec
or Remorseless Attacks what means:
After killing an opponent that yields experience or honor, gives you a 40% increased critical strike chance on your next Sinister Strike, Backstab, Ambush, or Ghostly Strike. Lasts 20 sec.
even 2points in MoD are possibile

at the end i got:
- +10maceskill from human racial and macespecc means i got no more demage reduction from glaicing blows
- 2Talentpoints so spec somewehre else
- a 5%chance to stun each hit (if the enemy can be stunned) without diminishing returns

What i lose is:
- 5%crit with dagger or fistweapons or 5% chance to get an extra swing with swords

i can live with that

GG. exactly what im going for. combat rogue pwnage. ANd your right the mace spec skill in the upcoming patch clearly gives u more benefits then any other spec skill allowing u 2 bonuses at once.

you do realise that wep ex is useless now, the 10 to wep skill isnt what it used to be, it basicially equated to being .5 to crit because of how they changed + wepon skill, which is basicially useless for 2 talent points,

putting points into WepEx after 2.0 means you are a bad rogue

The Castigator is the perfect offhand to the Misplaced Servo Arm. It's DPS and stats, and now that +weapon skill benefit has been diminished make it a fair bit better then the Aubisath War Hammer.

So, I got this mace. It's really sick DPS combined with the Anubisath Warhammer when fighting bosses with the +4 maces. I'll be getting an Ibilis soon to complete my awesome DW combo. :D Maybe my Ibilis will make me more effective in PVP :O
