This is an amazing tanking sword, and probably would work well in fury (Although I'm sure there are swords superior to it in fury). None the less definitly a good sword no matter what class/spec you are.

Very nice tanking weapon, the weapon damage is identical to Iblis but the stats have been altered to be more tank related.

+ hit is not only important when dualwielding weapons. naxx bosses are so much higher in lvl than the tanks hitting them, that the miss rate und thus the chance to loose aggro gets critically high. therefore lots of tankstuff has +hit modifiers just to compensate. +hit is quite important for every endgame raiding tank
+ crit is for dualwielders
+ hit too, but not exclusively. this weapon, although, is meant for tanking

Yeah if you're a tank you know this is a good weapon, if you're not you need to consider from our perspective.

1.6 Speed=Faster Heroic Strikes=More Threat
---Faster Attacks in general for initial rage

17 Stamina=170 health, not sure if it's the highest, but I know its up there.

1% Hit...everyone hates missed sunders,etc

100 Armor, meh might as well.

Pretty good fury if you like to go for fast attacks and keeping up flurry, some of those crazy stam locks, but overall best for tanking.

Also there isn't much choice on tanking weapons...I mean seriously how many guys do you see hanging around still using a Quel'Serrar cause they can't get a new weapon.

From a 60 warrior with alotta experience in all talent specs..

I have a lord blackwoods blade.. Why?

Because when im in ZG/MC/whatever else.. Tanking Hakkar, Garr and the like.. I get hit HARD.. I dont needa worry about rage generation with a 1.9AS weapon.. Because my rage bar replenishes itself every time im hit..

1.6 Speed + the stats and looks on this weapon make it god-like for a tank.. Thats every 1.6 seconds your slicing sunders/revenges/heroic strikes etc into the target.. And he sure does hate it.. The rogues can do whatever the hell the like.. A warrior with this weapon and atleast might gear.. WILL NOT loose agro.. A sunder/revenge/heroic strike EVERY 1.6 seconds!.. Makes the threat a rogue deals with his pathetic sinister strike, Look like hes presenting flowers and gifts to the target, rather then annoying him..

Any GM or other raid leader that let this weapon get into the hands of any player other than their tanks is one serious fool!

Hands down, outside of TF, this is THE upgrade for tanks from Quel'Serrar!

Rogues, DPS Warriors or any other classes that can swing a 1h sword, understand this, HANDS OFF, you have a great many other options inside Naxx than this!

This and Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of The Windseeker, are tied for best tanking weapon. Yes, this has more DPS than Thunderfury, but Thunderfury's Proc = Insane aggro Generation. This Sword however, with its +17 stamina (Thats 170 hp for the people who care), +100 armor (roughly 0.3% dmg reduction), +1% Hit (Helps when tanking, yes, it does, believe me...) And its Higher DPS, Faster Speed and Tighter Damage Range make it a great sword. Now, If you are experienced enough to play Naxx, or have completed the Thunderfury questline, congratulations, you can now tank (If your a warrior). Now me as a warrior, would love this as a tanking weapon. But to go Dualweild, I wouldnt pick this over the other loot in Naxx, yes it is a nice offhand, but it would benifit a tank a HELL of a lot more... My 2 cents,

aww man if only i was a 60tank but sadly im a rogue if anyone should get it it should be warrior (yah i know a lot of ppl thought i would say oh man its a hunter wep or its a rogue wep) but no tank all the way... thunderfury is an ok wep the proc is nice and can be used until you gain access to this wep but this is (from the posts above) WICKED so leave it to the tanks unless every tank has it in the raid then rogue, hunters stick to ranged and using ur pet...

I do wish people would stop comparing this to TF. Not every single tank in Naxx has a TF in their hand, due to the frankly insane drop rate of the bindings.

Many tanks are still using the Defender from ZG or Quel at this point, and this beats the crap out of both of them.

As a rogue in Naxx atm, I'll be more than happy with Iblis, and would probably only take this to prevent it being de'd (which is months away :p)

It is totaly a tank sword. I can't beleave i'm saying this, because i'm a pala and i would like to have that but i can't because it would be a waste for me. So stop saying its a dps sword. I think tanks should have this.

Before the buff to shield slam many people prefered a fast weapon over slow weapons. Bloodlord's defender was better for those people (myself included at the time). Now with the improved shield slam, a slower weapon is probably a better tanking weapon, making Spineshatter a lot better than what it was a while ago, so some of the old comments about Bloodlord's were made when it was "better" because of the speed.

Regardless of that, Widow's remorse is awesome. I'll take one please.

A tank weapon "as well"? Meaning, rogues have equal dibs, just because they can wield swords? Yeah, right. Okay. If you're ever allowed to roll or bid on this over your MT or OTs your guild has no business in Naxx, at all.

It depresses me that there are apparently people in guilds running Naxx that still can't recognise that certain weapons are more suited to certain classes. This is a TANK sword.

Yeah i agree completely with Felidire on this one.. Ibilis should definately be prioritised to rogues and any warrior that ninja's it should be cast to the burning pits of noongy.. The +Crit is a definate bonus :) gotta love it..and the fact that it is faster than some daggers is awesome :).. so the dagger and sword rogues wont be that bad after all :P.. so yeah.. Iblis is a PWNAGE rogue weps and all you hunters out there.. well if you ninja it then u should be cast into the pits of noomboongy.. twice as hot as the pits of noongy

First off I'd like to point out, as a combat rogue that dual wields swords, ROGUE'S WANT FAST OFF HANDS period. As this weapon is One-Hand, its easy to see that you can put it in your off hand. Now thats not to say that this should go to a rogue, most probably a warrior, but that really depends on the guild, dkp, and blah blah blah, so many factors. Not to mention most ppl aren't even in a guild that is going to be doing Naxx anytime soon, if ever. If alot of the ppl that made comments like "Rogue weapon, Hunter weapon, Fury warrior weapon", were even in a guild that was going to be doing Naxx, they would already know, to a certain class anyways, who is going to get this.

This wepon is just as good for a warr tank/fury as it is for a rogue offhand but if your guild is thinking about progress the first 2-3 drops should go to the tanks and then to the rogues and last fury this is cause tanks need a good fast wep with stam armor and +hit fury last cause a rogue doing naxx will anyways be dealing more dmg than a fury warr

Pretty good tanking weapon? Speed is pretty good, and high dps + not forgetting 17! stamina makes it a very good tanking weapon, imo.

But of course, I don't have any clue about warriors :)

I didn't say it's better than TF. It HAS better Speed, so better Generation, more Armor, more STA and the +Hit is sweet. TF is just better because of the insane Proc. And you're riht, if there are 3 other pple in the Raid who have TF, this Weapon is a lot better for Tanking. Of course, then the tank is dependent of those other pple surviving to keep the buff up ;)

This baby is excellent for tanking, it's even better than Crul'shorukh, Edge of Chaos.

Hence the speed, stamina is better and it has a 1% to hit.

Second best tanking weapon I've seen so far, after Thunderfury.

Its not as good for MT as TF... the simple reason is that the average rage generation of the proc from TF has been estimated at 7 sunders worth per minute... thats a sick amount of agro... per minute a tank usually hits 30-35 sunders, 5 or so revenges and some heroics depending on the rage... Basically this means that TF's proc alone generates 10% of a warriors rage (rough calculations based on information founded by other people which have been stickied on the official forums)

saying that, widows remorse is brilliant... it wont replace a TF, but hell, not everyone has a TF in their guild and im pretty sure than 50% of MT's dont actually have TF anyway, only 1 MT on my server has TF, thats in 6 or so Naxx guilds

this would be brilliant for duel wield tanking with iblis in offhand ;)

Sure, the Iblis may be the only sword offhand from early into Naxx, but rogues can still use other weapons. Maexxna's Fang, the Harbinger of Doom, and the Servo Arm are all used by rogues in my guild.

After tons of Raz kills we have never had an Iblis drop. The Widow's Remorse dropped for us and, surprisingly, only warriors had bid on it! For pure DPS, the Iblis is superior in every way: it has all the same stats as the Remorse minus the stamina, but also happens to have 1% crit and attack power. It would be a shame for a rogue to win this as an offhand and then replace it as soon as enough Iblis have dropped for them to be going to hunters.

I got it, not a rogue. :p

The whole deal with TF is not the proc itself but the threat the proc generates. Each time TF procs it more or less gives more than a free sunder in terms of threat. But yes, widows remorse is definately a gem and definately a godly tanking weapon. And also has awesome looks !

I got this on my protection paladin the other day, its a crazy good tanking sword even for prot pallys. Already love making the other warriors on my server jelly lol. (im not holy/prot, i tanked a naxx pug and won the roll on it)
