I'm sorry but I have to disagree... give it to whomever will get the most use out of it... with beta items showing up every day there is bound to be more powerfull DPS daggers out there... but hunters are looking at stats, and while DPS will improve on new weapons, stats will start to almost level off when looking at only a couple attributes, and this is probably good enough stats to last a hunter a long time.

You have a point there Jagger , but just imagine a rogue with Instant poison rank IV buff on Kingsfall , that would be way better than in the hands of a hunter .

Kingsfall drops off Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas in Eastern Plaguelands for a drop rate of about 3.41%.
Some speculate this to be the dagger used by Garona Halforcen to assassinate King Llane Wrynn towards the end of the First War.

There are much better weapons for a hunter though, Jagger. Take for example an Iblis, Blade of the Fallen Seraph (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=23014), it's more attack power and there's still the 1% hit and 1% crit. Although I don't doubt that a hunter CAN put this to good use, I still think it'd be better in the hands of a rogue (or maybe even fury warrior) because of the dps this thing can put out.

From what i have read, this dagger (lorewise) is the same dagger that Garona Halforcen, the Half-orc assasin, used to cut out the heart of king Llane Wrynn. That certainly explains the name.

FYI kel was 1st kill by nihilum om the UK server, Kingsfall didnt drop...some other sword did and some staff

Risen was the 2nd to kill him and kingsfall (the godlyist dagg ever) dropped along w/ a wand (doomfinger) that duz 139 dps

im sorry i dont care if this is the best Trinket for hunters to put in their melee slots but heres whats rly important:

It is the highest Dps One hander in the game.
It is the hardest hitting Dagger in the game.

not until every rogue who wants it in your guild has it should hunters get it.
otherwise, you fail at guild progression.

For all of you noobs out there:

Any guild that has enough coordination, synergy, teamwork, leadership, and gear to clear Naxx and defeat Kel'thuzad will 100% of the time give this dagger to a rogue unless none of the rogues need/want it.

Not to mention that the idea of hunters being a dps class is a joke: major endgame dps is rogues, mages, warriors, and sometimes locks. Even Nihilum, the (EU) guild that downed kel'thuzad first stated in their interview on WoW Radio that the hunter class is worthless in regards to super end-game content.

this weapon is just awsome, its great for too many classes, its the best 1h weapon a hunter can get, its powerfull on the hands of a rogue, a warrior fury would do a really high damage.

Do you realize how much a single backstab crit will do, with 1,000 attack power, 5/5 leth, and 5/5 opp? Like the number would just be "Holy !@#$!" would be how much damage you inflict in 1 backstab. I would die before this goes to a hunter or warrior. Rogue weapon, matter of fact it should be sharded when all the rogues have one.

I'm a hunter and this is by far the most beneficial for rogues and I would never argue that. However, if all the rogues did not want it I definitely think that hunters are next in line. The +16 agility is as good as it gets for one-handers and the crit and hit chance are always great for hunters.

ONCE AGAIN I WOULD NEVER TAKE THIS FROM A ROGUE!

first off, i'd like to say this is a kick ass dagger...... great damage and very nice stats. but i've seen alot of rogue/hunter talk about this dagger and i have to say, if you don't realize this dagger should go to a rogue, just shoot yourself you slug under a rock before you have children and pollute the earth with your seed. yes, this has nice stats on it for a hunter i will admit, or even a fury warrior, but this is the best dagger in the game at this point, so it should be defaulted to a rogue. the best ranged weapons in the game you don't see rogues #$%^&in about them not gettin it, and if you do, tell them to hang themselves too. rogues don't get daggers completely for stats if it is a mainhand dagger, and this is a mainhand dagger. a rogue would get WAY more use out of this than a hunter, and you could always find a rogue that would want this, unless you have only one rogue in your guild, this should always go to a rogue, if i ever saw another class with this dagger, i would mock your guild for being #$%^ing retards....... enjoy the other comments :)

I have seen in 2 years, hunters complaining and telling every weapon is for their class. I'm so freaking tired of that, now I'm not telling that every hunter does but can't you just stop doing such stuff? This is clearly a rogue item in the first wave, and there was a hunter in a reply above that told us that it's good for hunters because of the 15 agility and crit chance, "Bone slicing hatchet" got 16 agility and some stam, and itts blu for like lvl 55 and there is much more better items that just this dagger if you just count the stats. So as I said... think about it when u are going to post such useless replies next time.

I'm a 60 hunter myself, and I won't deny having this dagger wouldn't be fun, but in all honesty, any hunter who would take this over a rogue or even a fury warrior for his off hand is a complete %^&*ing retard. Yeah, the stats are hella nice for us, but I can't think of even ONE oppurtunity for us to use that 158 top damage effectively.

Wing Clips in PvP don't count. Period. Rogues should get it first far and away, then fury wars for the OH, THEN hunters should have a shot at it.

What on earth would make you say such a thing? There is no evidence that this is even remotely true, especially if you have looked at the Thottbot Beta server site. As of yet, the only lv 70 1-hander items that have been found (and logged) are +healing/spell dmg items, however, a few lvl 67 1-hander items have been found and none of them even comes close to this. And think about the game currently, rule of thumb is that a blue item is nearly as good as the greens 10 lvls higher than it, and even more for epic items. Then think about this, the Kingsfall is more than just an epic, it's an epic drop off of the most powerful character in the game right now, how could it not be a-friggin-mazing, even in comparison to TBC drops?

didn't you thought, this is DAGGER? and that is MUCH more useful for rogue than hunter, cause hunter can use almost every weapon, and rogues use mainly daggers or swords(depends on spec), they also wear maces, but it's rare =P and the stats are as good for hunter as for rogue so don't say $%^& like the stats are more for hunter...
i think hunter should roll, if rogue passes, but it depend on guild

Ya know, this is why I love being in an undead only guild. I don't have to deal with hunters who want to be !@#$%^&s, since undead can't be hunters. The fact of the matter is that if you're in a guild that raids Naxx, and SUCCESSFULLY kills Kel'Thuzad, AND this drops, then you're obviously not in a noob guild, and thus the rogues will get first priority.

Owen J just wanted to give props to you! lol. Its true, most Hunter's and rogues alike that post on hear are prob lower lvl or lvl 60's that dont raid, or start raiding. Becuase like you said, nobody hear has to worry about a hunter getting this weapon over a rogue. So yes, keep posting about how much this is a hunter weapon/rogue weapon, while some of us actually do some raids and get it. But that wouldnt include myself, I dont raid, i PVP, but that dosent mean i dont know how a real guild distributes their loot. And if its by DKP, that means that everyone in the guild has enough respect for each other, that a hunter would prob pass this up and let the happy little rogue get it.

And about PVP OwenJ, what you said might be true, but... now with shadowstep I might get a better chance to ambush you with my Kingsfall... j/k ;)

Look at it this way:
a) For rogues and warriors, gun slots are basically a third ring slot. We don't count on guns for our DPS/Tanking, only for extra stats. Hunters should have first priority as long as the item is usable in a reasonable way.
b) For hunters, weapons are extra ring slots. Hunters don't count on these for DPS, no matter what the case is. Rogues and warriors should have first priority, as long as the item is usable in a reasonable way.

Follow these rules and ignore every other "hunter" comment on this board, and you will be fine.

Look to be perfectly honest, many classes take better advantage of stat bonuses over rogues, seeing as rogue are still one of the least gear dependent classes. But if ur guild would give a dagger with huge DPS to a hunter because "it has some nice stat bonuses" ur probably in the dumbest guild ever. A hunter is a range specialist and a rogue is limited to close combat (basically). A good weapon is nice for a hunter, but essential for a rogue.

i dont think theres really much debate over what class this weapon is for. Its definitely a rogue weapon because for 1 thing hunters dont have specified moves for daggers that causes massive DPS (backstab, ambush) and there are alot of other types of weapons that arent great for rogues but can pass off for them such as the hakkari set. The stats yea wutever it may be hunter but its also rogue and rogues need it for specified moves depending on build.

Personly being a rogue, i believe, that it should go to a Rogue, although hunters may benefit from the stats, a rogue could do a lot more with this dagger, he depends on a good weapon to be effective, where as hunters also need goo weapons, they are mostly ranged, and need a great ranged weapon, if not a SINGLE rogue needed, i can see hunter getting, but i dont see that EVER happening, (with the possible exception of the burning crusade), although a hunter may want this for its stats, a geared rogue may easily, Back stab/ambush for a rediculusly high amounts, wich in my mind is what a dagger is moslty about for a rogue, and if a hunter got priorty or equil chance to get this over a rogue, it would bother me. Why does a guild that can beet Kel'thuzad give this to a hunter for a stat boost over a rogue who can get a MASSIVE boost out of it?

Let me just make a promise to you rogues, that might make you feel a little better. 99% of guilds who can beat him, have it on rogue prio. So don't worry your pretty little heads, no hunter is gonna "roll" (lol) or bid on it.
Being a hunter myself, I see the obvious advantage of this for a rogue, as also EVERY OTHER *!@#ING HUNTER WHO HAS BEEN TO NAXX KNOWS. Honestly, getting insecure about loot you'll never even see in your life and taking opportunistic cheapshots at hunters is just sad. And please don't post *!@# if you don't know the mechanics of loot distribution in high end raids.

I wont fight the fact that this can be good for a hunter. they key factor is the massive dps in a daggar form. which is the basis for a rogue. hunters can get a crit % and hit % from any where else. but that 70+ dps would be a total lose on a hunter. And if any of you hunters say "But I will melee" stick it in your pipe and smoke it. Your main source of dps comes from your bow/crossbow/gun.
