The pieces of this set do not drop like they do for the other tier armor sets.

Each boss in Naxxramas drops a piece needed for a different piece of each class' tier 3 set. For example, boss 1 drops the piece needed for shoulder armor, boss 2 drops the piece for leg armor, and so on.

Several classes need the same piece for their set. This armor is created more like the Zul'Gurrub armor.

Priests, mages, and warlocks share the same necessary piece.
Paladins, hunters, shamans, and druids share a piece.
Warriors and Rogues share a piece.

These pieces need to be turned in with some other regents to ultimately create the armor.

Priests, mages and warlocks need their piece and wartorn cloth scraps.
Paladins, hunters, shamans, and druids need their piece and wartorn chain scraps.
Warriors and rogues need their piece and wartorn plate scraps.

Each piece will also require an assortment of other reagents.
These are Mooncloth, Arcanite Bars, Cured Rugged Hides, and Nexus Crystals. No piece requires all of these extra regents, but many do require several of them.

Actually getting the armor is done quest style by turning in the pieces and getting the NPC to craft the respective pieces of armor.

Some bosses only drop 1 piece per kill and some drop 2. Some pieces are dropped by multiple bosses.

I hope this information is useful to anyone looking for this incredible armor set or the set for their class.

I've already seen mention of this as "Pally Gear"
This is rediculous.
It's quite simple. You get an item that any class can get (desecrated helm, for example) then turn it in for a specific class-quest and are returned a tier 3 piece.
There is no way a paladin can get a warrior-specific quest...and hence, no way for a paladin to get Dreadnaught armor.
It's that simple.

Even if they could, look at the set bonuses. Notice bonuses to abilities like 'Taunt', 'Revenge' and 'Shield Slam'
Paladins have none of these.

pallys cannot generate enough threat with melee alone to hold agro from a 20 or 40 man raid. the only way to tank with a pally is to get off high threat spells . for spells you need mana, which you get from intellect. no int on this set though. you also need mana regen for a fight like a corehound or most MC trash. the deathbone set has mana regen on each peice and is clearly a better set.

This set is not for pally, so who ever wrote those comments is a noob...This set is for warrior jus tby looking at the specs that the armor has tell you this is warrior set and go to www.worldofwarcraft.com so you can look at how stupid you are

Look at the set bonuses.

Upgrades revenge, upgrades taunt and challenging shout, upgrades sunder armor, heroic strike, revenge, and sheild slam.

Pallies don't have those moves, nor will they get them just because they think the armor is best for them. You guys have your own set, get that, and stop wishing you had this..

This is made for warrior tanks, and them alone.

Pally's can tank, but that's not their primary role. Besides this is only for the warrior class. check the class armor for pallys.

First of all I'm a tank but the following comment "valor is only warrior, if you really didn't notice that it says Classes: WARRIOR!" is not well researched! I'm guessing that guy doesn't have a single piece yet, LoL. Prove that. If it was designated only to be used by warriors, why would there be a dispute between pallys and tanks? There is not 1 stat in the Valor set that couldn't help a pally

Neither of those sets are class specific but it would be nice if the 2 classes would just settle and realize which would benifit their talents and needs more. There is a reason tanks don't need spirit or intellect -- it's because pallys do so they can heal tanks. It's simple, if you want to hit things and get hit back, be a Warrior...if you want to kick back watch someone hit things and get hit, be a Paladin and HEAL!

Oh ya...I'm curious to see why a Hunter is even looking at this page, let alone why he would leave a comment. Let us know cause this has to be good!
