Compliments the Dark Iron Ring very nicely, great ring for a druid. Just wish it had a bit more armor, I hate how the epic rings have less armor then the non-epic rings (Ring of Protection and Band of the Tortoise).

This is a tanking ring. I'm a feral druid, yeah, and it's probably disporportinately good for feral druids, esp because it has that hard to come by (for druids) stat of +def. But it's good for tanking warriors as well.

Emperor Vek'lor drops this ring. Once bascially kill the bugs in AQ and make it further into the lair you get here.

I think warriors are FAR more effective than you think. They can do great DPS when built to do so and they are the premier tanks in most situations. I agree though i would never trade my feral druid for a warrior but that doesnt mean that they aren't a VERY important aspect of ANY guild. Just ask the honorable Botis / Minya. We wouldn't be doing BWL without them.

As far as damage mitigation goes... 1+ Def = 33.3 Armor so this item would have a lot more armor in comparison to other rings with a higher base armor contribution but no addition to defense as far as damage mitigation is concerned

In addition 1 agil. = 12.5 armor (forgot about that)

Personally, I'd see this as a druid ring if the warriors would be nice enough to see beyond the fact that it's a "tank ring" and therefore meant for them in their eyes. Warriors really don't get any benefit at all from 100 pithy armor, but a druid will get a substantial amount towards his AC with the dire bear bonus that I don't really care to explain here. Now, this armor will help a druid with his base armor mitigation, which, since druids lack the ability to parry or block, is one of two ways for a bear tank to mitigate damage. The other way is Dodge, which this ring also has thanks to the agility bonus! Not only does this agility provide extra armor and much needed dodge, but it also provides crit. Now, warriors may not depend too much on crit to hold aggro, but for druids, who can't simply get a new weapon with which to better hold aggro, agi is key. When all you have to gain aggro with is maul, you realize the importance of frequent crits.

Ok you idiots there been so much talk about Druids this and warriors that.

Want it from a Feral Druid that raids!

Well here's the gist. This ring while damn good for Warrior tanks is also very good for us Feral spec'd Druids. I don't care to hear which class can tank what or vice versa.
Now my opinion is exactly this. Warriors do a damn fine job tanking, there built for it when they go to there defensive stance and are spec'd Protection.
Now I'm a Feral/Restro Druid, I don't do PvP, all I do is raid. This ring would be a huge bonus to my armor rating which is already over 12K and over 14K with a Paladin in my group using Devotion Aura. Both classes, Warrior and Druid would benifit from the ring. Which would benefit more, well probably the warrior in the long run due to him/her using said ring constantly. I don't tank very often but when asked too, I can and do so very well. I am not a warrior and don't claim to be.
So for the rest of you that sit's here and bemoans druids, you have your head stuck up your crack in your butt and don't know anything about the class. For those players that thing Warriors are not as good at tanking then Feral Druids, think again boy/girls. Druids are Jacks of all trades but master's of none. Meaning we can help in a raid and be very versitile but were not rogues, warriors, mages or priests. Were all of them and none of them.
So dicontinue this stupid arguing over what item would best suite what class it's so stupid.
Let each player decide that for his own character and spec build.

I've said enough.

Well, our guild is on C'Thun and has a few bosses down in Naxx. This ring dropped for us last night and immediately the druid channel lit up with woot, bear tank! I'm feral, have all of the top tanking pieces available, and fill in quite a bit when we are short warriors (or when a bear is preferred), so there was quite a bit of discussion about priority on this one. I ended up getting it with less DKP than all of the warriors and it upgraded one of my only remaining spots to be as effective as possible. Was obviously thrilled to get this and <3 the warriors for that. All guilds approach things differently so I can understand what some of you are saying.

Tanked/Offtanked: Vem, Fankriss, Satura, Vael, Broodlord, Ebonroc, Flamegor, Anub Guards

I always get a good laugh out of people calling classes in these forums. It doesn't matter what class you think this SHOULD go to. All that matters is where the guild they drop for decides they WILL go. Different guilds use different characters for different things. I've seen some of the highest ranked guilds use Feral Druids for their secondary tanks, and I actually have seen a druid MT a few of the bosses in MC so that the guild can use their better damage dealing warriors on the adds. (Garr, Golemagg, and Sulfuron) So stop calling whether or not this should go to a warrior, druid, pally, rogue, mage, priest, or shamman :P It doesn't have a class labeled on it, so it can go to whoever needs it. Plus, any guild doing AQ will be plenty organized enough to know well in advance who's gonna get this ring.

this is really bad considering that darkiron is almost as good.. more stam but its got more agi and def which i admit help.. but i mean cmon.. my 4 year old sister could kill luci and get dark iron ring and it takes some skill to do this encounter... so i think they should upgrade stats on this bad boy
