you really don't know what you're talking about, when you are running BWL/AQ40, THEN post on the forums about tier3 gear. Fury warriors are the HIGHEST dps class in the game. This is for several reasons, first and foremost, like was already said, there is no limit to how quickly you can build rage. Furthermore, Blizzard designed the game so specalizing in a specific stat is less rewarding then getting multiple stats (ie look at any green with (of the tiger vs of agility). Warriors get 1% crit from 20 agility, not 30 like rogues, as well as getting 2AP per str, not 1. Yes, I realize they don't get AP from agility.

13 agility for a rogue = 13AP, ~.43% chance to crit, ~.43% chance to dodge, 26 armor

9str and 9agi for warrior = 18AP, .45% chance to crit, .45% chance to dodge, 26 armor

Thus a class that derives its damage from (realistically) one stat is less beneficial overall. I could extend this to a broader range of equipment as further proof, but I think my point has been made.

Lastly, the beneficial effect from Flurry increases exponentially as you become better equipped, though it would reach an effective cap of usefullness (higher than 33% chance to crit, you're crits don't always come every 3rd strike).

Also, your example is very limited. It's one instance of a rogue dealing more damage than a fury warrior, and it's not controlled. The rogue changed specs between gear upgrades, from combat to daggers. Anyone who's been to MC knows that the mobs there have abnormally high defense, more so than many of the mobs in BWL/AQ. This gives any rogue a natural advantage over a fury warrior, because much of the warriors damage is derived from the Flurry talent. Against a high defense mob, it becomes much harder (and virtually impossible against some mobs, namely Garr) to crit, and thus flurry, whereas a rogue doesn't have this added bonus from their crits. (Lethality is comparable to Impale, so don't even say it.)

As for the poster that said fury warriors shouldn't be in a raid. Ever done Razorgore? Lol.

I hope this has been benefical to those reading, if you respond, please do so intelligently, with proof and examples, as I did.

Well... Using my attack power of 1302 (93 dps) lets see the dps comparison between Dual Wield and 2-Handed weapons

Using the High warlord weapons as examples.

MS arms warrior using 2-handed HWL weapon, with talents = (96.7 + 77.4)x 1.05 = 182.8 dps

Fury warrior dual wielding HWL weapons, with talents = (96.7 + 59.5) + (96.7 + 59.5)x 0.625)= 253.825 dps, both hands included.

Dual wield obviously has the 24% miss rate because of the fact that it has a 40% dps bonus on 2-Handers. Eliminating this miss penalty renders dual wield to impart most of its dps. Theres also the fact that HWL 2-handers have 41 stamina to compensate.

And to those of you who still say Arms beats Fury for dps. Enrage + Flurry + Death Wish + Troll Beserking = Death (550 dps)

I play in a guild almost at c'thun atm, we're gonna start kill him, and i can say... fury totally beats arms in every aspect so called "dps"...

It's quite obvious that fury is the best DPS in the game as with the right gear you have pretty much limitless rage. Endless rage. That means you can have all of your rage dump attacks going at every single melee strike - pewpew. Given sufficient +hit and attack power, you will do the best dps in the game, by far.

A Fury warrior has the greatest potential for Damage but also it depends largely on gear (that is why we hold top spots in DPS after the Molten Core) anyone who thinks a fury warrior is a waste of space in a raid is an idiot with 4-7 warriors in a 40 man raid u expect them all to tank MS warriors are also benefical to certain boss fights where keeping mortal strike on the target can make or break ur ass any tank who cannot keep aggro off a fury warrior spamming thats right I said spamming heroic strikes while his WW and BT are on cooldown should probably switch to def stance thats right Warriors generate more aggro in def stance than in any other and if a warrior knows anything then he should be using revenge whenever the opportunity arises (often even before the cooldown for the ability is complete)this will generate more aggro than a fury warrior can in 3 Heroic strikes and if the tank has Defiance then it would take 5-10 HS crits back to back from a fury warrior to attempt to peel aggro off a tank (considering u waited for the DPS call)

This item is a pretty rare drop. WoWhead shows 33% but the other items have a higher drop rate.

The best Ret Paladin and Fury DPS gloves in the game, even geared tank warriors that want more threat need this.

Non-Human warriors should stick to Edgemaster's Handguards until they have 9 hit without sacrificing many other stats before touching this.
