Well, with the expansion coming, there is no reason not to spend DKP on silly things. And it can really lend a boost in PvP.

It's quite an odd thing that Blizzard put in the game. They probably new it was and added for fun.

The tentacle has one extremely amusing use - PVP flagging bots. Some of them have a flawed script, in that they will not target and attack human players but will attack trinket-spawned assistants like the Vanquished Tentacle of C'Thun.

Flag yourself on, drop the tentacle and grab yourself a free honor kill while ruining a bot's day. Win-win situation!

This would probably be similar to the exalted timbermaw ancester trinket....it probably summons a tentacle out of the ground or something.

The guy in the picture that person posted above is me =P though i didnt post it :o.

If you wanna know about it the tentacle has 5-6k life and doesnt move. It does about 200 a hit every 2 seconds to leather so thats around 100 dps average. It can crit but its crit rate is 5% I use it when fighting rogues/warriors, just range them until they close to melee range, SS entrapment and drop the tentacle. Also its fun to use in AB to flag guard.

Overall Its totally worth it even if it didnt attack cuz spawning a giant tentacle every 3 minutes wherever you go is priceless ;D

I totally agree, I wouldn't get this for the practical use, it's a freaking tentacle! Maybe for some sexual innuendo here and there and just to WOW people.

Looks like an extremely useful item, especially for soloing and in small groups if used well.

I'm wondering how good it holds agro. Without any agro spells I'm guessing not very well, considering the damage. Possibly good to use with slowing/freezing... spells to keep an enemy near it while you can do other stuff.

This thing is insanely awesome for AB. Assualt the opposing teams flag and drop this baby right there as a guard dog. I've gotta get me one :)

nobody NEEDS a giant tentacle. it's just that having one is pretty cool, let alone the fact that it seems to be quite useful :).

This trinket is infinatley useful to any lass except hunters and locks, its like having a pet. A badass tentacle pet. Really, there are so many trinkets, this one is possibly the best. I dont know if this is poly or sapable, but even so, its a major help. plus only a 3 minute cooldown for 30 seconds. thats a really low cooldown rate

It's an extra drop from C'thun, so it doesn't take the place of a decent drop. It's currently the ultimate gizmo in-game, it owns so hard to see people react in battlegrounds when you plant it in their face.

Hello,

this trinket dropped today from C'Thun - the sixth main boss from the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (known as AQ40)

Some facts about this trinket:

- 3 (three) minute cooldown
- 30 seconds tentacle uptime
- tentacle has about 6k hitpoints
- Damage: ~140 noncrit -- 350 crits, 450 crits at cloth possible (I think it's a 1,5 attackspeed)
- as you summon it, it spawns in front of you
- despawns if you walk out of range or if you die

Well, what is it good for?

- Impressing people ^^
- It can act as a mini offtank: For example, you have an add, simply activate this trinket and it will attack everything in melee range. So you can let it offtank the add
- Different PvP situations like defending the flag at Arathi Basin (but don't waste your trinket slot if you're doing serious PvP)

Not tested yet:

- Huhuran poison bolt interception
- activation if stunned/incapacitated

Another stupid thing is: if the enemy runs out of the melee range of the tentacle, it will just stand around until it despawns. So, it has no special use against fleeing mobs/enemies..

- You can't activate it when stunned
- It has a decent stealth detection (vs. rogues)
- Only short cast range, probably in a 5yd radius

Alright.
i was wondering if you use a gatgetzan potion to Shrink to mini size and use this in duel as a Warlock/priest..this can Be the best duel Trinket ever.
since it has about 6k hp and is Huge stands still.. if you just stand in it the person is dueling you.. can not see you.. so can not target you unless he kills the 6k Creap first.. and in that time the lock or priest can do Major damage well i was just thinking.. if this is poseble

Ok. As a rogue I know we would get this trinket last but I want to know if I can activate it while staying stealthed b/c the number of places I could drop this in AV are innumberably funny! I could just see the horde pushing across the bridge in AV towards the allie Aide station when this TENTACLE suddenly pops outta the ground right in the middle of all the allie defesenses! Also love the aforementioned idea of being a lok and taking a shrinking potion and hiding "inside" the tentacle while you dot ! BEST TRINKET EVER!

According to the guy who got it, it's 2.0 speed, and hits for 200-250 cloth/leather, 150-200 plate, can crit(but rarely), and drops a few feet in front of you. Definitely an awsome stunlock trinket.

So what to do with this? It's actually decent trinket if you can use it on boss that stands still, so pretty much all the classic bosses. It deals around 3000 damage in 30seconds, the attacks can also crit.

It has over 6000 hp so its pretty tanky. It's actually possible to drop this trinket on Twin Emperors and they will waste 2-3 shadowbolts on the tentacle, saving precious mana and possibly your tanks life.

This thing actually deals more damage than other trinkets with passive stats and it has 3min cooldown. You can most likely get it free since people don't consider the item any good when it's not actually that bad.

When I tested this trinket on bosses (as a tank), It dealt almost 10% of my total damage.
