These pants are some of the best a feral druid can get, 2% crit, 48 AP high armor and 20 stam? Wow... Plus they are really easy to obtain (Lethon isn't hard at all). Great pickup for feral druids.

Coming from a rogue perspective I would definetly pass these to a druid. Rogues have much better options especially with Tier 1 & Tier 2 pants coming from the same instance.

As said before, these pants are great for feral druids. They are pretty good for rogues too, but their tier sets surpass these so they should probably be passed to a feral druid.

No.

I wouldn't have a problem with Rogues bidding at all. (Not every rogue can get nightslayer/bloodfang).

But classes should stick primarily to their armor types and only secondarily to others, even for hunters that aren't getting hit (or druids on cloth, who only have a case when there's no equivalent leather gear at all.)

To be honest, I'm pretty sure Blizz designed these pants to be for druids OR rogues.

Considering that rogues gain attack power from agility or strength, and druids gain it from strength, skipping both of those stats in favor of +crit and +attack power basically nullifies "which class can benefit from it more", as the stats will be equal for either class, unless I'm mistaken somehow.

That said, in a guilded run it would be up to the discretion of the guild as to who would recieve them. My guess would be that rogues would get first crack, as like has been stated, endgame druids are primarily healers while rogues are there for damage dealing.

HOWEVER a feral druid can use these just as well as a rogue, and I can't belive I'm saying this but this has been a rather mature discussion on these pants as far as Thottbot comments usually go lol.

While i agree that these would be nice for a rogue you cannot say that they wouldn't be equally nice for a feral druid. the AP and 2% to crit would be nice for cat form and the AC value of these pants would add over 1000 armor while the druid is in bear form. I would definately roll on these pants since i am a feral druid, and despite popular belief, a druid doesn't need to be resto speced to be a good healer. Druids weren't meant to be main healers anyway, thats why they have such a broad range of abilities.

i'm a feral druid, i play a feral druid 100% of the time.

yes there is some of us out there, we're the one's that don't do instances and mainly pvp.

we can do more damage than most class's, the only rogues that out damage me are nightslayer rogues with epic daggers. the only class that i have a problem with is warlocks.

i have a 27.30 to crit and a 20.40% to dodge and attack power of 788, i have sacrificed stamina and armour to achieve this.

health is at 2893 and armour is at 1893.

but i do agree with most of the other rogues, resto druids should not be allowed to roll on this, if there is a feral then he/she should get the chance to roll.

since 1.8 has come out, there are resto rogues running around in feral gear, pretending they are feral and talking about uber this and uber that. they are the one's who should not get this as their main roll is to heal in dungeons.

i'm a 14/32/5 i have no survivability due to ns, i have to rely on bash and regrowth. the extra armour and health this gives me is invaluable.

will i get a chance at these leggings, no, however i do hope that a 100% feral druid wins this and uses's them all the time.

these pants far outdo any pants that ive ever seen for bear form. sure they could be useful in cat form, but the +stam and the defense alone make it the best feral druid pants.

OMG, this is the highest armor leather pants. All bear druids HAVE to roll on this. You won't find any replacement to replace this pant unless Blizz introduce new contents. You will regret it if you pass it on to a rogue.

So by any means Bloodfang are better than these pants. The only reason Bloodfang might be less good is the +2,5% chance to get overpowered by a warrior in pvp :p but for pve rogues Bloodfang are supirior. NOT BY MUCH but they are. The only arguement is availablity. BF drops of Ragnaros. I donk know if these dragons are easier than rag, but beeing out doors means you can get a back up raid for help too. As for ferals ... well if your raid suports ferals then dont pass on these pants. I dont say I wouldnt like to have them as rogue but I think I'd save my dkp for BF. Good luck to everyone out there hunting these beasts :p

Armor Good. Stamina Good. No agility = Rogues don't need.

If you have a close look on the Stats.......hmm...YES it's = FERAL DRUID item.

Armor is so much more worth to a Druid, Feral Druid.

Bloodfang is much more Roguey then this crap.

Pass for a Druid.

If you're killing Lethon, you're a raiding guild (unless it's some weird pug, or you hopped into some other guilds raid)

Raiding guilds have access to Nightslayer Pants, and Bloodfang pants, which are both MC drops, and are great for rogues.

These however, are the only epic leather pants for feral druids. It will benefit their cat form and bear form - gogo stamina and attack power. Crit is nice too, shrug.

but rogues - hold back, you've got options. Rogues want their sets usually, and in the back of your heads, I know you're thinking, "These will work till I get Nightslayer or Bloodfang." and that thought is exactly why these suit feral druids.

Anybody who is killing Lethon will be in a strong raiding guild. That guild is only strong because they know who gets what to benefit the raid.

If the guild says yes to a feral druid, then they go to that druid. And if they say it goes to a rogue, then it goes to the rogue.

A strong raiding guild really never has these arguments about loot. Maybe starting MC raids do, but by the time you are up to AQ40 and the world dragons, these conversations don't really occur outside of officer chat.

As for those who say that BWL rogues could get Tier 1 or Tier 2, both of these pants drop in MC, and my guild no longer runs MC, we haven't in months. Therefore I cannot get tier 1 or 2 pants. So if my guild agrees, I as a rogue will get these. If they do not agree, a druid will, and so it goes.

I wonder why all these arguments occur on the forums, when they don't happen in game. It seems silly to me, imo.

Are most of the arguers folks who will never have the oppurtunity to kill a world dragon?

If they were meant for any specific class they would say class: Rogue / Druid / whatever
Whoever wears them theyre nice. Blizzard solved the problem on single class items by restricting them to that class only.

If a guild is capable of taking down lethon then they are most likely able to kill ragnaros where a rogue can get a much nicer pair of pants. Rogues should pass this to druids since they have no other options.

Bloodfang Pants blow these out of the water. Bloodfang has equal attack power, slightly more crit, some dodge(dark heart has no dodge), and 20 points of resistance. And lets be honest, if your guild is downing Lethon with any regularity then you're more than organized enough to be killing bosses in MC. I say let this piece go to the feral druids and rogues who don't get a shot at MC for whatever reason.

I did a little bit of research on these pants (I play a rogue) and what do you know they are the highest armour leather pants in the game. I think personally ill give this to a druid because they can benefit from these more then a rogue due to armour + the next upgrade from this is in naxx. which if you still waste time killing world dragons your most likely not going to be donwing 4H.
Think about other players, it might be purple but it might benefit someone who needs it more. save your dkp and get Bloodfang or Deathdealers. there are feral pve druids out there so think of them next time you decide ZOMFG IM A LEET ROGUE I WAT ALL TEH PHAT LEWTZZ PEWPEWPEW

feral pants imo. any guild able to kill lethon right now will likely have all their rogues in bloodfang. Even the ones without bloodfang will probably want to be nice and pass it to druids anyway - that is quit a lot of armor for leather legs

Im a feral druid and I want these badly. However I primarily want them for Tanking not DPS. These pants would give me 1362 armor and 24 stamina in bearform. The AP and crit bonuses are good for maintaining aggro. These also seem to be the only good beartanking pants in the whole game.

"Really amazingly godly"? Well, they are an epic and a worthy epic at that, but imho pretty close to Nightslayer Pants in quality. These have 5 more stamina and 5 more attack power, but Nightslayers have roughly 0.1% more crit and 2.2% more dodge (from their 33 agility), as well as 10 shadow resistance. And a set bonus.

I would say that these are pretty well-balanced for an epic drop off a raid dragon. Oh, and additionally, I would sell my grandmother for a pair. :-D

Armor: 197, Agility: 37, Strength: 11, Stamina: 17, Fire Resist: 10, Arcane Resist: 10, Critical %: 1 Increased Critical 1

Less armor, same attack power, less stamina, more crit %, more resistance, more + to armor due to agility, + about 3% chance to dodge and contributes to a sick ass set bonus.

Hence "Dark Heart Pants", is not good at all for a guild that is able to kill lethon!

Think? Last time i checked druids had stronger combatstarters (Ravage) and more powerful finishing moves (fero. bite) then rogues do. A rogue will always do more damage, but a feral druid with the same type(MC, BWL etc. you get it) of gear is damn close :)

As a rogue, I'd say these are a little better than NS, but not as good as BF. I still have crap Darkmantle, though, so I'd definately want these.

Feral druids...it's cool if you guys want to roll on loot like this. I don't mind. But AP/crit/stam is better for rogues than kitty druids, because stat boosts give you guys a lot more offense. As for beartanks...they aren't consistent enough on bosses with multiple stages, adds, and I've yet to see one able to hold aggro off of me (while numerous warriors can...meaning the warrior is superior). And all the armor and HP in the world < defense skill.

Don't expect priority on DPS legs, since whenever any guild I've run with is learning a new boss, all druids heal, regardless of spec. That tells me that they are more useful as healers than anything else, and any other function they want to serve is secondary to that healing role. Stop whining about no itemization. It's your secondary class function to do damage or tank, and so it's secondary priority on itemization for you. You are well aware when you spec feral what the situation is on items, and you are free to respec resto if loot is what you're after, or reroll rogue/warrior if you want to be DPS/tank.

These at first glance are rogue pants but after looking at Bloodfang or Nightslayer its as benificial for damage to have our set(I'm a rogue). Let the druids that think they can do damage take them.

Judging by defense alone, it was probaly designed with druids in mind like the Blessed Bulwark, but it would still suit a rogue just as well. Up the to the raiding party at the time I s'pose.

If the guild is able to down lethon, no doubts you can have your hands on BF or at least NS legs, and also better not trade AGI on your legs.

The extra AC on these legs are also more beneficiant to a druid, and since there are no feral sets whatsover, Druids must have privilege on this.

Honestly, if i saw a rogue wearing these, i'd have to smack him.

The stats are DECENT for a rogue, yes. But by the time you can kill this guy you can have MUCH better.

BUT for a feral druid (or even a resto druid who keeps a spare set of feral gear in his bags) this is THE BEST legs in the current game.
