As far as I see this is the only reward from the quest that isn't really replaceable. Even though the cooldown is kinda long the effect is just extreme, 150 AP for a minute is pretty nice most of the time. The health regen is just a nice bonus.

This trinket benefits 100% from +healing gear. If you equip a +200 healing mace, you will get 209 health per tick. Equip a set of pally gear with +700 healing and you'll heal over 14k HP each time you use it.

It's easy to figure out exactly what this trinket does in combat for a warrior:

75 str = 150 AP = 10.71 dps.
10.71 dps * 60 seconds = 642.6 damage from normal melee attacks.

If you use MS with a 2-hander every six seconds:

10.71 * 3.3 = 35.34 extra damage per MS.
You can perform 1 MS per 10 seconds, so,
35.34 * 10 = 353.43 damage from MS.

Total damage: 996.03 damage over a minute.

Oh, and you also get 108 health back. :)

well if you dont mind carrying around extra trinkets i would switch this out for say blackhands breadth. 75 str is much better then 2% crit, since it adds 150 AP = ~11 dps. If you love those big slow weapons like arcanite reaper, thats adding around 11 x 3.8 = 41.8 dmg per hit, so 80+ on crits. even if you think thats crap, at LEAST carry it around to switch to when your using recklessness.. if your going to crit every attack, who gives a !@#$ about 2% crit from a trinket... equip this to do ungodly extra damage when your already going nuts with crits. come on, its MUCH better then people are making it look, unless you just dont like switching out trinkets. During the 1 minute it is active, it is much better then any trinket you can have- including the godly MC/BWL crap Its not THAT hard to switch out trinkets when cooldowns are up

A level 60 warrior hitting with +75 strength, if even for a little bit, sounds like it would be adding a lot to the battle.

Scenario: You're 60 have around 325 strength. Activate the trinket, boom 400 strength. That's like, 20% increase in strength or something.

If you don't know why this flask isn't good... you better learn how to manage a good warrior. Helm/Shoulder can be replaced very, very, soon and there is not many warrior AP setup trinket. Thus this is an usable item so just pop it, enjoy your 150 attack power (that means you have 2 battle shouts stacked every 6 minutes, why can't it be good?) and just switch to another trinket for awhile. This can be used in a long term, unlike those crappy armor rewards.

heh.. this trinket is great. Yes, the cooldown pretty much blows.. but oh well. It's like a mini-earthstrike.. and I'll keep this around once I get earthstrike ((Not far off at all.. a few more thousand rep)) Switch this out with the earthstrike.. Yummy.

Edit-- Yeah.. read above. If I actually had chosen the other rewards they would've been sharded long long long ago.

i took the trinket, the helm you would replace with valor, same with the shoulders, but the trinket is great, the extra health regen and the str is great, plus, did this quest at 60 se already had my valor helm/shoulders :P

Let me do some math...

Diamond Flask: +75 Str for 60 seconds
75 Str = 150 Attack Power
150 / 14 = 10,7 DPS

With a 2-hander such as my Obsidian Edged Blade, 10,7 DPS is: (10,7 * 3,4) = 36,42 more damage with every hit. Which doesn't decrease. For 60 seconds instead of 20.
Oh, it also gives you 9 hp every 5 seconds.

Am I missing something here?

Diamond Flask is pretty much half an earthstrike... still pretty damn good for a low level trinket.

Don't even think about saying earthstrike is better, this is just an easy quest and u get it. U need to be exalted with CC to get earthstrike. Wich means u need to do AQ. I wish I took this trinket instead of the visor but ye ... weeks later ^^

Does the +75 debuff disappear when changing trinkets? Is it possible to use the flask, change to another trinket and still retain the +75 buff for the full minute?

I've heard of warriors healing for rediculous amounts using this trinket. Does/did it get bonuses from +healing? If so, it might be a good idea to pick up a bunch of +healing greens and throw them on after a fight, use the item, put back on your normal gear, and go straight into your next fight regening all the way.

I tried it... with a tree on my party i searched my healing stats and it has 104 + healing... I tried using the trinket and it gives me 113 hp every 5 seconds for 1 minute... try it..

u said ur lvl 48 warr could crit 2200 with enrage and deathwish.. just today i fought a hunter in wsg and got pretty kited and critted by things hunting me.. reaching him i got some big crits and just saw his bar reaching under 20% and 2230 :D i know execute doesnt really count as a real highest crit but the thing was i didnt realise my rage was as high but i had 93 xD fury warr rage ftw

u must have speced for the 20%+ critdmg buff in arms tree for getting 5k? around 5k is what warriors make in endgame without things like wsg buff... and with like 20rage.. that with fury + arms(crit) ofc i rolled warr for being dpser in endgame.. probably get to tank instead xD

I saw the helm and shoulders and it was tempting. But i knew in a couple of lvls, valor would be around so i skipped em.

This trinket does hold up on its own. ITs almost like a free buff potion when ever yoiu enter battle. I use it when i go after druids in bear form and who ever is runnign the flag. With my pvp gear and the TUF ill hit a druid bear or a T2 warrior w/ flag about 290-400 and with that trinket ill do about 510-600 depending on a battleshout or buffs that are on me.

So yeah, its a nice lil doo-dad to keep around for when you need a lil push when fighting someone. It adds liek 100+ap and gives you like 100+ damage per swing (2hander) so its good.

armor dies off, trinkets never do, so remember that when you do this quest ;)

I had a lot of paly gear at one point, with +healing effects. Healing went from +9 per tick, to +110 per tick. That's a lot of healing for a trinket!

I'm back to +9 per tick, since I finally have gotten better warrior gear.

Best decision I made was to get this trinket, instead of the armor (which would have been replaced a long time ago).

I wasnt sure which reward to select but I chose this as I thought the shoulders and helm would become outdated in higher levels(I was 57-58 going into ST so I could see better equip coming soon). Boy was I right... I equip this every boss and use it. By the time it coolsdown i can use it again. Crusader + this = significant improvement in damage. In scholo it is ready for every boss and 60 seconds is a long time for +75 strength. Just click it and you help DPS faster and reduce mana drain of your healer (slightly)...add bloodthirst and enrage (or whatever happens when you get critted) and you are healing yourself alot.

I was doubting the usefulness of this but now I agree it is the better choice of rewards. You will use it alot longer.

If you have the money.

Choose this reward.

At lvl 52, get a Destiny.

Slap crusader on it.

As soon as Destiny and crusader procs at the same time, pop this trinket.

Destiny + crusader + diamond flask = 200 + 100 + 75 = 375str = +750 attack power.

That's what I would call burst damage ^^.

And at lvl 52, 750 attack power is -a lot-. As you usually have around 600 unbuffed.

And yes, all these 3 effects stack.

75 STR = 150 AP = Woot extra bloodthirst damage :D

67.5 extra bloodthirst damage or 135 on a crit. Not an inconsiderable amount of damage considering its a free trinket.

Take a look at Vikturus's fury vid and he likes to use it ^^ For 60 seconds you can reak havoc with only 150 extra AP and yes, it stacks with crusader. Best thing i've had with this was when I used it and crusader procced twice (DW it) and I had deathwish up. It was completely insane :P

This trinket has got 6 minutes cooldown - real cooldown 5 minutes (`cause the effect works 1 minute).

In my oppinion it is much better then I though first - nice trinket anyway! :D

Yes I have seen Vikturus's video...probably one of the best flicks ever because of the skill/music mix. At any level of reason, the Drakefang Talisman/Blackhand Breadth is probably a more healthy combo. You get 56 AP constant, 2% hit,1% dodge and Blackhand Breadth 2% crit. For DW, this can be vital in turning those misses into hits and the added damage makes up for the extra AP (150 Diamond Flask)and the 2% crit goes without saying. In PvP for the most part, you are fine and can get away with less hit%. If you have all of these trinkets, (diamond flask,HoJ,DFT,Darkmoon:Maelstrom), take some time and see what combination works best for you. These are all viable dps/pvp trinkets that can add a little juice to your play. I dont want to leave out "Kiss of the Spider" and make this post sound ancient or pre-AQ/Naxx..but that is also an insane choice for those who get it. With that said....add it to the combo O.o

This is the reward choice you want to take.
150 AP for a whole minute is very powerful, and the trinket is a really nice trick to have in your bag for certain bosses.

So the Diamond Flask heal-over-time element actually does scale at 100% with +Healing gear, and it only counts the +Healing you have when you activate it (so you can equip a full set of +Healing gear, activate the Flask, and then go back to wearing regular gear as long as you're still out-of-combat). Because the 100% coefficient works for every "tick" of the heal, you get a total value of 1,200% of whatever +Healing value you can scrape together as a Warrior. Gotta watch out using this in dungeons or raids though, because the heal provides standard healing-based threat to yourself which can lead to some unwanted aggro pulls.

Aggrend (QA Lead at Blizz) confirmed that this is accurate behaviour and that they'll leave it in but might decide to change it later:

We’ve looked into these reports and have found that the Diamond Flask’s behavior does in fact correctly match Original WoW 1.12 as well as the Reference Client. For now, at least, we have no plans to change it.

As we do not consider this to be a “bug”, I’m going to be closing this thread now. Thank you!

VERY IMPORTANT for Warriors playing in CLASSIC

Get the DIAMOND FLASK trinket, or you will ruin your chance to properly SOLO content at level 60. This locks you out of a hefty part of having FUN at max level.
It might even help you tank NAXX.

Get the Diamond Flask trinket for the love of Bronzebeard's beard.

When finishing the quest 巫毒羽毛, every player in a 30 yard range (NOT only warriors) around the NPC 部落英雄的灵魂 gets the buff 战斗怒吼.

Requires level 52
Attack power increased by 400.
Duration: 15 minutes

It does not stack with a regular battle shout. While this battle shout is active on you, you can't overwrite it as a warrior.

This does work in Season of Discovery.

This is practically trolling, but here is a gearset of maximal +healing gear to optimize the hell out of the Diamond Flask, it goes without saying that you'll need way more than just luck and patience to obtain this gear, and also a macro to swap into an entirely different gearset that is actually useful for a Warrior after applying the buff.

If someone out there is actually crazy enough to do so, it would be wild to see some clips of a Warrior regenerating 1.4k health every 5 seconds.

It would seriously behoove you to take the flask over the helm or shoulders. The helm and shoulders will be replaced before you even reach T2. The flask is one of the best trinkets a warrior has available to them throughout end game.
