Arc Reaper... +13 stamina +130hp. +62 attack power=58dps total on the axe.

Grileks carver would only be better angainst dragonkin... thats it.

The top-end damage on this owns the Arcanite Reaper's, and that more than makes up a measily (For a Warrior, that is) 130HP. If you want Stamina with a lvl 60 weapon, you can get better than a crap amount like 130. The AR's stamina is nothing but a novelty and no one would miss it if they downright removed it from the weapon.

And LOL to the morons above who think a warriors job isnt to DPS. Believe it or not, out of the multiple warriors in 40 main guilds to MC, not every one of them tanks. With a two hander, a Warrior has no trouble out DPS'ing a Rogue, and with this Axe, that job would only be made easier. Of course, Rogues complain 24/7 about being matched DPS-wise by warriors yet warriors still get plates, so I expect a Rogue buff in the future. Either way, this Axe is just as good as the AR in PVP and much better in raids, its an amazing weapon for a Warrior. I'm not claiming it for Warriors, only stating they can make EXCELLENT use of it.

I have the arcanite reaper, and yesterday i win this axe.

With this axe i have exacly the same dps as the arcanite reaper. the same. 131.40dps.

But i have 14 max dmg and 30 min dmg more than arcanite.

Then i think is better than arcanite... the min dmg is much better.

And if we think that, when we fight vs dragonking we have 1xx extra attac power... jejeje

as stated in the manual

warriors = dependant on other classes (even pallies)

Pallies = similar to shamans = all rounder

making judgements on which is better is a matter of opinion which is usally biased.

Im a hunter and never equip this (no want wanted it), for PvP it gimps my ranged over my bone slicing hatchets. I could make a macro to swap this in and out for big raptor strikes, but with the 1 sec equip cooldown, it's not practical and just adds another step in tight fights. I just want to wing-clip and get the hell out of there without having to worry about swapping.

Even with a +15 agi enchant on this, making 147 attack power vs dragonkin, my BSHs are still better with a total of 112 attack power and 1% crit chance (56 agility = 112ap/+1% crit).

Speaking as a semi-enhance shaman with dragonscale leatherworking, I would definately roll on this. And I have a right to dammit! There are plenty of axes out there with similar damage but have more valuable warrior stats so this is not a "OMFG NEED!" warrior item. Mind you, if a warrior needed this for BWL I might consider passing, just because I'm a nice person.

This weapon should go to any class that does not currently have something better in hand. But you should ignore the +AP effect on it when making this comparison if you are not working BWL.

If your guild/raid group DOES do BWL however....

this would be better off in the hands of a hunter than any other two hand melee class. Here is why....

If you ARE in BWL, then you would have some sort of epic weapon in hand already (if you don't then you certainly are not contributing enough to the raid, and should be replaced), and would be doing a lot more damage than this weapon could possibly provide, even considering the +AP damage.

If you are a hunter, however, your current weapon setup probably adds up to around 120 at best (2 x Bone Slicing Hatchets with +15 agil on each is only 120 AP) Stack a +15 agil enchant on this weapon and your hunter's one weapon is doing +147 AP on dragons in BWL. That is just nuts, and is actually contributing additional damage to the raid, instead of less, like a warrior would be doing.

Anyone who has any knowledge of how to take down Vael (it was mentioned in an above post that this weapon is "perfect" for that fight) knows that having a fast weapon is better for spamming heroic strikes. You get WAY more DPS with fast weapons that are always hiting HS's compaired to slow weapons hitting HS's. The damage per hit may be lower, but you are hitting WAY more often. This also means the warriors are getting a lot more aggro to fill in when your MT drops.

I play a level 60 warrior, and would pass on this weapon in a heartbeat to our already geared out uber hunter just for this reason alone.

hunter weapon for BWL....slap a +25 agi on it and they should be doing awesome damage, and since they dont melee, they only need to be worried about the stats on it. BTW this is coming from a warrior/pally

Yes this does apply to range dps all it says is incress Atk power wehn fighting dragons if it was just for range it whouls say incress range attack power and for melee it whould say incress melee attack power but when it says just incress attack power it applys to both hope that helps

this weapon has to have the best attack power bonus for hunters in BWL. give this a 25 agility chant and give this to your marks hunters for BWL and ony and let 'er rip! DPS warriors also stand to benefit hell of a lot from this weapon, though I don't know if it's the best weapon for them (arcanite reaper perhaps?) I'd wear this over my epic hunter staff for Ony and BWL for sure.

While that 2400MS is impressive, you should be able to do more damage with a heroic strike due to the recent instant attack nerf.

My pally got one the other night. Was gonna let a warrior have, but one had just picked up the epic polearm from from Zul and the other had Earthshaker so I didn't feel too bad. Was running MC the other night in my crit gear to try it out and had 31% crit 1240 attack power (raid buffed obviously). I was doing 1300 command crits. Bad ass axe for sure.

very useless for pvp though. engineer's mechanical dragonlings are, well, mechanical. only actual dragonkin that i think a player can summon are the ones summoned from dragon's call.

I got this Baby with my Shamy. Im a Battle shamy with a 20/31/0 Talenttree. AND BOOM! If Windfury procs with crits, i do around 3000 dmg in one hit. Realy nice in MC and BWL.... WOW i love it!
