This is pretty much the best PvP chest currently available, unless you're into using wrath in PvP.
It owns for tanking too, that small amount of agility is what makes it golden. Defnitely not bad for tanking, either.

This is one of the best until AQ comes out, that is. Damn, that AQ gear owns.

Got this beauty today and put a +4 all stats enchant on it xD

You can get this quest on the little island north west in STV. Its called jojamba isle ( or with a Y dunno cant remember lol).

You have to be level 60 to do this quest.

strength isn't important for a tank.............. are you a warrior mate? cuz strength is just as important since it is used for the amount of dmg you block when you block

I think my night elf can handle the looks of the body piece. I want to collect every item that is more powerful for a critical warrior than the Field Marshal set. Only the legs seem to be outright the best of it's class. :/ And maybe the one handed sword and shield...

This item really isn't a tank chest. Well it's nice, but the lack of Defense is disturbing. I can get 10 defense, 800 armor, and just as much stamina on the Ornate adamantium breastplate. The strength is worthless in tanking, though the agility is nice.

Anyway, this item was made along with the patch that nerfed defense, so I'm pretty sure it was +4 defense to start with, but that's such a small buff it seems rather pointless. Ah well.

He who says Strength is pointless in tanking is a newb. And here's why. Look under Strength, you see the adds the damage reduced when blocking with shield. There is your reason. If you are tanking you should be shield block revenging a ton for aggro and damage reduction. Now it may not add much more but every extra str counts. Though yes this is not a tanking piece, it lacks the defense. But the stats are awesome for PvP. Strength helps in tanking ^_^

I would be inclined to agree not a dedicated tanking piece, although it would be good for my non-raid tanking stuff, it is a very good item, I currently have the medallion of Steadfast might and the Ornate Adamantium, but this and the rage of the mugamba would definately be comparable with the set bonus....

The problem with this set is that it can't decide, i think it is a set for Raiding warriors to tank non-raidzones in (that said I would tank trash in ZG with this), the extra block and the neck item speaks of tanking, the Int shout buff seems to be PvP aimed along with the BP, the belt and bracers seem to be more DPS along with the 5 part set bonus.
Its not a tanking set... this is a GOOD thing, even fro the point of view of a tank i can see that there is not enough out there for the non-tanks so something a bit different is cool.

Anyway I am on the lookout for the full Vindicator+Bloodsoaked set, will look bad-ass on my gnome ;) and a nice flexible kit too

Kossacks drop like trash mobs in baron; plenty everywhere.. every run we leave about 3 on the body.. no one wants them

This beats Ornate adamantium hands down. It trade 6 defense (0.24 dodge, parry, block, and crit mitigation) for 0.75 dodge, 58 armor (including agility), 40 hp and 24 str. You have plenty room for +def in other gear. Ill trade those +6 def and get 374 instead of 380 if i get better dodge, better crit, better AP and better armor

I'd tank with this. +def isn't the end-all, be-all of tanking... sometimes you have to sacrifice a little there to get something more in another area. Here for example, you have +str and +agil and a little more stam and armor over, say, Ornate Adamantium BP, and you lose a bit of +def for it. I'll take it, until I get my Might BP.

Well for those of you that are making a case that losing 6 defense is worse than gaining all those stats you should rethink your point. Agility is only second to stamina for an MT...when you dodge or parry you aren't getting any damage, who the hell cares about slowing the effects of the damage with all that strength...Agility should also equate to more hit points for a warrior that would only be fair since stupid hunters are able to modify their agility into attack power, give us a few more hit point bonus...Lets call it every 5 agi = 10 hit points.

While offering better offensive and defensive stats than the Breastplate of Chromatic Flight, this is a very viable alternative to the SGC for Fury/Prot specced warriors. This is MUCH easier to obtain than farming BRD over and over - very happy I got it!

For fire resistance, the breastplate of might and wrath both offer some great tanking stats.

The only downside (to some) is that it will require revered reputation with the Zandalar Tribe.
