no this has nothing to do with ST. they drop in ZG and yes if you go to the island where u get quests u can destroy them for tokens much like the AD valor tokens. but they are also for mage/rogue/shaman bracer quests.

Two years ago in Legion I had acquired a variety of Bijou items from the AH. Blizzard actively was attempting to purge the game of these items due to shared item ID's or tags with a scrapped item for BFA (I have the ticket in my history to show their hostile reluctance to refund me my gold I had spent on the items).

I collect unobtainable items and rare things for fun on an alt.

You used to be able to keep these in either guild banks, void storage, or stuck in a mailbox if you kept sending and returning and Blizzard couldn't delete them. They, however, would disconnect you if you got this item in your inventory after 7.3.5 and it would auto delete.

One bijou is equivalent to five coins. Conclusion, if five coins are cheaper than one bijou, buy the coins and vice versa
