This cloak is a huge upgrade for most Rogues. +50 AP is a very large buff to anyone's AP, and it is quite rare to have that much of it in one slot.

This item is only slightly superceded by a couple of cloaks before Naxxramas, so it can be quite a long-lasting upgrade.

This will also be a great cloak for Hunters after the ranged attackpower nerf. Will give over twice as much rap than Cloak of the Shrouded Mist.

Rogues will easily find a cloak upgrade as early as at Prophet Skeram in AQ40

This is decent for hunters, but would be better in the hands of a rogue. Hunters go for Cloak of Shrouded Mists.
Here's some info for you hunters:

Cape ---------------------- Dps Added

Cape of the Black Baron ------- 5.30
Cloak of Firemaw ---------------- 4.11

Zulian Tigerhide Cloak would be on here but it is impossible to calculate how +hit effects dps.

It seems people here neglect that attack power is static and crit is medial. If you get .5 crit from baron cloak, that means 1 in 200 attacks that wasnt a crit will now crit, if it lands. AP is a global increse in all damage caused. If there was a cloak with

+12 stam
+20 ap
+1% crit

id definately take it over this, but blizz had bad cloak itemization up to Shroud of Domination. Oh well, <3 the ap. One of the few items i still need from bwl, since there is no upgrade till Sapp

This cloak seriously sucks. Good warriors don't want it, good druids don't want it, good hunters don't want it, and good rogues sure as hell don't want it.

not that big upgrade from the puissant cape which drops off azuregos; 10 more attack power but no % to hit.

For pvp I'd take this over puissant as a combat rogue with precision. The +hit yields a negligible return. For pve it depdends how much +hit you already have but I believe the puissant will be better generally.

Looks like it. No Agi but seems more geared to tanks.

Like to see the mesh, everything so far out of BWL has been outstanding.

let damage warriors get it then. its a nice cloak for warriors stacking AP, puissant cape would be nice aswell but i think its better off with hunters and rogues.

This cloak looks soo bad that it should not been epic!
120 HP isn't really "good" it is the only stat it gives exept the +50 attack power.

so since ive posted my question if it was removed from the game or not, firemaw has CONSECUTIVELY dropped the cloak for our last FOUR runs. yeah its still there.

Cloak of the Honor Guard stands up to a piece of BWL loot in almost every way, and only someone hellbent on maximizing their AP is going to argue that Cloak of Firemaw is superior every time.

Sure you're trading your "DKP grind" in for a "rep grind", but I think it lets you choose the lesser of two evils (whichever that may be for you).

Great cloak, almost as good as Claok of Concentrated Hatred. Relatively common drop and looks pretty sweet to boot.

This cloak is awesome... you find me a cloak that is better. I would say that 80 % of the DPS chars i see that are in BWL/naxx are using it.

Those two capes are actually pretty close to eathother for stats, at least for a rogue. This cape gives 12 stam and 50 attack power, the Puissant Cape gives 12 stam and 40 attack power but also has 1% to hit. IMHO Puissant Cape > This.
