Alright guys, think of it this way, crit is nice, yes, but so is hit. How many times have you hit Cold Blood and your 5-point evis missed?

A percent to hit is maybe even better than crit.

1% crit= 1% chance on strike to do double damage

1% hit= 1% to not miss(normal damage vs a miss is the same as double on a hit, dps according)
and then when the hit lands it also has a chance to crit which can be 4x normal damage on a strike.

Both are very good, yes , but an equillibrium must be acquired if you are all crit and miss a lot, where's the dps? all hit but never crit, still low dps. with a decent equillibrium you can do wonderful dps.

With my current gear, I have a 27% to crit and several added percentages to hit and fully buffed I average a good 450 DPS and am rarely not #1 in damage in MC/BWL/ZG.

I just have to say one thing about the whole "crit vs. hit" thing. Whoever said that, "Random 1-20 are crit+hit, 21-90 are just hit, 91-100 are miss"... that is dead wrong. Want proff? Get cold blood, that gives you a 100% chance to crit. If you have ever missed with cold blood activated, you will clearly see that you are wrong, because you can clearly miss on a critial strike.

For a feral druid, I'd actually probably take Master Dragonslayer's Medallion for this quest.

You should easily be Exalted with CC by BWL; and if you're not, you should be Revered anyway. Compare Might of Cenarius to Master Dragonslayer's Ring. There's about a 6 stam difference between the two, and MoC actually adds 4 DPS to Dragonslayer's 3.

Since cat form has a set 1.0 attack speed, MoC adds 4 DPS; the 48 AP of Dragonslayer's is worth only 3 DPS. You can also get MoC completely solo, even before you've set foot into any raid instance for the first time. And once you get Nef's head, you can get this neck.

From a rogue's point of view..
You get a 19% extra chance to miss on white hits from dual wielding..

Hit table (vs level 60 - 30% crit)
5% dodge
5% block (not when attacking from behind)
5% parry (not when attacking from behind)
5%/24% miss (yellow miss/white miss)
0% glance (reduced damage)
30%/30% crit (yellow crit/white crit)
-------------
50%/31% yellow hit/white hit

Hit table (vs level 63 - 30% crit)
5.6% dodge
5.6% block (not when attacking from behind)
5.6% parry (not when attacking from behind)
5.6%/24.6% miss (yellow miss/white miss)
40% glance (reduced damage white hit)
30%/18.6% crit (yellow crit/white crit)
-------------
47.6%/0% yellow hit/white hit

On white hits vs level 63 you are already at 81.4% before even reaching chance to crit leaving only 18.6% for your hit to become a crit even tho you have 30% crit..
This 11.4% not critting gets converted into a glancing blow..
Start attacking from behind to free up 11.2% giving you your room to crit back.. (0.2% still gets converted into glancing but its small)

You would need +5tohit if you had 35%crit vs a level 63 for white crits not to get converted into glancing..

If you have +10 weapon skill vs a level 63 your glancing blows do full damage

personally i think that all priests should go for +crit in melee gear, mages should get first dibs on all plate and hunters should only be able to wear christmas hats. Give ure warriors some pies for healing and then wed all own at everything. I personally think that this ring is for murlocs only and it would be a shame if neone else were to roll on it...

As this is a quest reward item any class can pick it up - I would say the talisman is better suited for a tank... But then again that's just my opinion.

As long as it doesnt has a "class:blabla" tag on it every1 can bid on it! Yes even warriors and hunters you lil rogue boy! It is usefull for all meele classes, and as long as they bid on it, it will go to them no matter who they are!

This is 1 of 3 rewards from the quest given by 奈法利安的头颅]. For the Alliance, unlike the quest given by the head of Onyxia, the items are rewarded by the warrior Field Marshal Afrasiabi on the opposite side of SW gate from Major Mattingly.

ok im sick of this, "warriors arent supposed to do dmg they are supposed to tank.../whine /cry /cry /whine..." then WHY THE HELL Blizzards creates a weapon called ASHKANDI which has 80+dps and 344 max DMG? hmm to TANK? stuf you noobs who the hell need ROGUES? we DPS warriors can be in the top of dmg list, and have an extra equip to tank when needed (adds after Vaelastraz, 3guards before 3 dragons and Chromaggus, etc.) so please quit that #$%^ of "WARRIORS ARE SUPPOSED TO TANK not DPS or the little BABY of me will /cry /whine" christ.

bakalp, as a level 60 rogue doing pve with 1 DPS warrior in our guild with Ashkandi I can say that Warriors can do damage, granted, but they cant reduce aggro whatsoever. Rogues can, and yes we can outdps you with toothpicks im afraid but we dont get that plate bonus- and you usually gimp us in duels especially if you get the jump. GG with your 5+ 1-2k hits in a row, u got nice pvp with your 2h's but dont try bring a 2H into a real instance like BWL just so you can feel superior to Rogues who actually can reduce aggro and do more DPS. Maybe you can autopilot MC with dps Warriors and granted, they require less healing but they need to know when to stop and if they crit they can gain aggro which in MC is fine, but can mess up silly little things in Onyx and can go even worse on Vael if you get aggro.

What a shame I actually registered to post this.

To the guy who said warriors cant hang with rogues....first of a true dps warrior goes fury and doesnt use a 2hand you idgit....with the right gear and weaps a fury warrior can outdps and outlast all other classes so stfu

cauterizing band, band of sulfuras, ring of entropy, dragonslayer's signet are for shamans and paladins.
This ring is only for dps classes(warrior, hunter, rogue)

Shut up please. I have seen Warriors often at the top of the SYNC'ED damage meters through MC, not to mention HORDE Warriors who get Shaman's Windfury totem to make their dps even higher. Yes this is a BWL item but Silithus promised to have more trash and multiple mob encounters than BWL anyway. It's funny how classes who aren't meant to do DPS are at the top of the damage meters, or at least in the top 10, hm? You do realise not every boss requires like 6-8 tanks, correct? So what do you think the rest of the Warriors do? Have a wank? Just as good for a Warrior as a Rogue.

All this debate about what class it does and does not belong to is absolutely, completely, and totally pointless.

Why?

For turning in Nefarian's head, you may choose this, a tanking piece, or a spellcasting piece. So *IF* you have the DKP to take Nef's head, then it is entirely up to you which you will and won't take. You will NOT be taking *anything* away from any other class by doing so because it is a QUEST REWARD. Everyone who completes the quest will have absolutely equal opportunity to have one. It's just a matter of when you get it.

Anyone who is in a guild capable of running BWL may choose to spend their DKP on Nef's head to get this. And if any individuals here are not in a position to run BWL......

STFU, go home, and cry more.
