Nice little trinket for arena against PoM+AP+Pyroblast mages If you can get them both to fire their pyroblasts at you in the time frame :/

The best way to use this trinket against mages and warlocks is to use Insignia of the Alliance out of seduce or polymorph and immedietly pop this trinket to reflect the fireball or soulfire headed towards you. Most mages don't expect someone to have both PvP trinket and the fire reflector up and active.

As Parallax said, this is a very good trinket against fire mages.

On a side note: this item will only reflect the same fireball once. So if you cast a fireball at an enemy and he puts this on, and so do you, it'll hit him about bouncing back once.

I have heard of people wanting to use this item at Ragnaros. Although it will save you from a spell of his, don't expect the reflected spell to do any damage on him, as he is immune to fire :S

This trinket is a must have for engineers who pvp. With this and the insignia you get when your corporal. You can trinket out of a mage's polymorph and put this on and if your lucky the mage will one-shot himself =)

No it wouldnt cos onyxia is immune to fire spells so it wouldnt hurt u but it would reflect at her and say "immune" when it hits

You need 290 engeneering to use and make. You also have to be level 53+.

No Goblin/Gnome engereeing required.

Be aware that this item does NOT reflect *incoming* spells that are already cast once you use the trinket. It only affects spells cast after the reflect buff is active. Like other trinkets, this doesn't reflectt AOE attacks (well, aside from the +FR). Only damage-dealing spells are reflected, you are hoever immune to other non-damage spells (but they are NOT reflected).

Still a nice trinket when a mage (or three) try to gank you with omfgwtffireballs.

You --> CAN <-- equip 2 of these and add 36 to fire resistance but they both share the same cooldown timer.

I can make these on Dunemaul/Horde. Name is Dorfis. Bring me the mats and I'll make it for 5g.

Does anyone know if this would work on Firemaw? Reflecting Firemaw's stacking debuff back onto him would probably kill him 100% faster...

This works against the Searing Totem that shammies has, doesn't it?
But anyway, a friend of mine said he used this against a firemage and it actually made the mage too crit himself to death.
Gotta be a real bugger too the mages since those are the ones i know who uses firespells mostly.

Someone asked this, and I checked - self inflicted damage like hellfire or sapper charge still hits, reflect buff might as well not exists.

You cannot use this item to reflect spells against a mob that is immune to fire.

Onyxia = black drake = completely fire immune.

Ragnaros = fire elemental = completely fire immune.

No. the only item you can still use after dropping engineering is gnomish death ray. It's a 290 USE level, not equip level.

If this item reflect all the dmg done to the wearer for 5sec, its really imba. Imagine if you're a warrior. When a mage tries for pyroblast she will allways take Fire blast right after. Just use em when she casts the pyroblast, then she will get dmg from pyroblast and fire blast at herself. That will atleast cost her 50% of her life. Then intercept and kill quick

Once again.

Onyxia IS IMMUNE TO FIRE SPELLS / EFFECTS. This will ~NOT~ work on Onyxia. You could equip this for the Fire Resistance, but other than that it's basically pointless to have equipped during that fight.

this item is NOT cheap. i added all the cost of items from the AH. and it came to a total of 80g for one of these. so if your usless at making money like i am... START SAVING.

How often does it "fizzle" against people above 60? Do higher level players have a higher chance for it to fizzle on, and what exactly does fizzle mean?

Dunno, but from my experience of being a Engineer, both on Gnomish and Goblin (I got two chars with Engineering), "fizzle" most likely means it'll screw up and resulting in the user dying. That's brilliant, like if many devices and items made in Engineering before diden't blow up, Blizzard made more of them useless and incompetent in Burning Crusiade. Huzzah!

I've been using ice deflector against those damn frost mages (in yur face nabcakes) in the arena regularly and for more than a month havent seen it fizzling or anythin (although i could have missed it during combat)

why is there a huge picture of a rogue in the screenshot? this device is a trinket, and doesn't show in the game, the picture does not show the trinket, as it wouldn't show even if he has it equiped.

Its a great item to use when you know a mage in Av is going to pyro blast you when you are taking a flag.

This is the games best fire resist trinket. Fire immunity with only 5 minute reuse, you will also never see another trinket with fire resist higher ten 18 on it, it is worth every bit of the mats, which isn't that bad if you farm the water or dark iron yourself. I'm going to have my Dark Iron made by guild(Free), and thats about it.

For those of you without Engineering, there is another good trinket, although not as good, but can be equiped by anyone.

I ambushed crit followed by a backstab crit on a Human mage.

He naturally got up and frost nova me, Arcane power , POM and dumped a Pyro on me....... Which of course killed himself with a 2100+ crit.

Too bad it only last 5 secs

Has anybody done any testing to see what spells this reflects? I know it wouldn't reflect all fire spells, because otherwise people would be reflecting onyxia's deep breath back at her.

Are the different types of reflectors on the same cooldown?
Or could you use an icereflector and a firereflector within seconds of each other?

The reuse timer on it is 5 minutes from what i've been told.. Not bad compared to some of the other items out there with extremly long reuse timers..

4 Dark Iron = 32g
3 Truesilver Transformers = 9g
6 Essence of Water = 48g
4 Star Ruby = 4g
2 Azerothian Diamond = 10g

So it's about 103g if you use the numbers I have.. Which isn't to bad. These numbers are probably different for each server.. I'm just using the numbers that I know of off the top of my head for my server.

Btw, picked up the schematic for this today, so if anyone on Horde/Deathwing needs one made please contact me.

But u can use it to reflect deadly spells....

Look on the other mage's face as he has two pyroblasts streak towards him instead of one... priceless. Engineering 4TW!

Seriously this isn't that hard to make. Devote 6 hours of game time to get it made and you should be able to... less on a large server. Finding the pattern now... that is different: dropped in UBRS rookery boss.

I been wondering for awhile if this works on Onyxia's deepbreath that is a fire attack after all if it does and ya hit it in time ya could bouce bout 10k damage back at onyxia taking a big chunk out of phase 2. I would check myself but i can't stand farming and i gave all my dark iron to guildies so I haven't had the chance to get one or to try and only know 1 guy with and he is always to slow at using it. Thanks to whoever tests that.
