on my paladin. curently 45 holy 6 protection, I like this ring cause it has nice stam, intel and a little bit of spirit and the 3% crit is nice..right now i am about 14% crit with spells cause of that ring..sure people were pissed that i rolled on this Item (mainly mages and warlocks) but hey it was a PUG Group and it was 10000000 Times better then any ring i had. and I think i heal a lot better with that on. plus having that extra 3% helps since I get my mana back and it helps with my spell power aswell cause of having 5 points into holy guidence will increases spell damage and healing by 35% of your total intellect
right now my healing crits for 3100 health. so do i regret rolling on this hell no lol cause the more intel i have the more i can heal.. i bet if i put my healing gear on i can heal for more then 3500+ lol

pallys should can use eye of beast (trinket 2% critical spells), i have Band of rumination (5 mana each 5 sec 1% crit spell), and if i could get this ring get sure i roll 4 it.

each crit heal of pally its a free mana heal, it saves raids,lifes and honor :)

Seriously, several classes could benefit from this ring, but I'd give preference to Mages on this drop. INT, STA and spirit are what Mages look for the most. As for the chance to crit..? Sure, healers can get crits. But big fat Mage blasts ALSO save raids. I can't tell you how many times my Mage was one of the last people left alive on a raid... and a juicy crit finished off the mob. Trust me, it happens.

DPS rocks... give it to the Mages, please. The faster the mobs die, the less heals you'll all be doing in the first place. It's all relative.

thanks for that comment, it made me choke on my coffee i laughed so hard. i play a warlock, i have the ring, i spent my dkp on it and outbid the mages in my guild because i have just as much use for it as anybody. am i going to go kill myself? no ... its just a game ...? or are you such a spotty teenage nerd that you cant realise that?

this would about accurately reflect the gains for each class.

mages & warlocks gain most, very closely followed by resto spellcrit shamans.

as a pve raid shaman (which ofc means resto-spec) i've created my entire build around 1) spellcrit & 2) mana regen. (other possible builds are max int & +heal or combinations of previously named builds)

this ring is perfect for me & almost as beneficial for me to have as for a mage/warlock. my guild recognised this & this drop is marked as mage/warlock/shaman loot only, for the time being.

not only do shamans spam 1.5s heals (which allows for spellcrits to more easily contribute to a flat healing curve, because face it, one unexpected huge crit from a greater heal is nice, but useless if you're healing is well calculated & organised) but we also have, just like priests, 5 talents that raise the targets armor by 25% for 15 seconds. due to the sheer number of heals that we'll be throwing in endgame raid instances, this 25% increase in armor is very often seen on the MT, which indeed helps a lot.

i use this ring together with the dragonslayers signet.

You guys are dumb. Quit the "its this class that class bull". Any caster can use it. It gives all the stats every caster wants, and +1% to spell crits. If you think any one in their right mind will pass on this because you think its a "that class" ring you can sit on it. And to tell you the truth. A mage or a warlock is the last person id like to see this on. Id perfer to see this on a priest druid or shaman so he can better heal the raid party with a higher chance to crit with heals. If you can use it roll is what ive always said.

Ofcourse every class will argue that they should be the only class rolling on this but who the hell rolls on stuff like this? ;) If you do then this general problem serves you right.

Tanks like 25% armour and over a longer fight ofc you will benefit from the extra healing. The agro issue is the same for any dps class aswell as a healer class so don't know what you are getting at. I know I have more control over what I do than that I would get the agro from mt for an extra 500 heal or so, that just wont ever happen in reality.

oh, and I'm not gonna apologize for wanting a ring that will help me outside of my healing duties, mages and warlocks have it easy that are "ok" at grinding etc with their pve build, try a holy priest on as a change.

I laugh at the mage who has 1500-1700 fireball crits.

Anyhow, I would like too point out that I wouldnt give this ring too a healer in a raid. haveing crit like this would only really help on healing the main tank(s) and thats it, otherwise you just use a heal(lvl or type, ie: lvl 3 or 5 of flash heal. useing greater heal or flash heal) depending on how much health the player is down. Else for all raid healing all your crits do is make overheal. Now dont get me wrong im sure this crit would benefit you as it does everyone, just the level of use and benefit you get out of it isnt nearly as useful and dps. You crit on greater heal 5k, you have 2400 overheal, good job, warlock crits shadowbolt 3500, mob looses all 3500 health. and many fights depend on how fast you can kill a mob in general anyway, so u want max dps possible.

healers, go get +HEALING and mana regen gear, it means MORE heals and higher average heal.

plus this ring isnt all that great anyway, but with its only specialty being JUST crit, I'd recomend dps ring, unless your DPS players have better blues or epix than this.

And I will not agrue that shadowpriests can DPS, but guilds dont tend too hold more than 1 or 2 shadow priests around for the fact that people recruit priests too heal and that there isnt a whole lot of cross class dmg gear for them. too the point where once u have a single shadow priest he stops getting viewed as a priest and more of a shadowmage. And most people dont have a problem with their guild shadowmage getting the gear. Plus most shadow priests suck and are stuck getting all their gear from pvp.

Oh yes and balance druid can dps as well, but they generally have too be pretty good too compete dps with mages/locks/etc. and are much like priets, you recruit them too heal. Most balance druids and shadow priests have too compete with each other AND all the regular DPS classes for cross class dps gear, atleast for any guild PRE-AQ40, where all the hybrid class gear drops.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves for thinking that 1 percent spell critical for your offensive spell is more important than the same for a healer. My priest (like almost every 60 priest) has talent points providing +5% holy crits, and I carry items that give me +6% more. With int around 330 i crit at least 15% of heals, healing +50% damage, or 1500 damage for a flash heal/about 4500 damage for a greater heal (in game more due to high +healing items applied before the crit bonus). Another priest talent gives the heal target up to a 25% bonus to armor rating any time a crit heal lands. So you mages and warlocks are stabbing your tanks in the back when you exclude priests from +crit item rolls.

I have additional talent points in discipline giving me +5 more percent crits for any offensive spell. My smite crits in game around 22-25% of the time for 700-800 damage per 2.5 sec cast, as high as any 60 item crit mage i've seen, and don't forget that every tic word of pain has a chance of critting. Yeah mages do more damage, but the last 4 or 5 lvl 60 instances i've been in, I did more damage than some hunters. And i healed their cats.

This is only mage/warlock ring.Priests and druids cant roll/bid on this , only if all mages and warlocks have.I have 1 and i am going for a second.It isnt Unique.
Healers can have Emerald Flame Ring ( 碧绿烈焰戒指 ), its lot better and easier to get.DoTs dont crit , and heal crits take agro

anyone that casts spells on a regular basis could make good use of this sure some more than others, and i would agree the stats arent what you would call the best ever but there not too shabby really especially if you think of the crit too. imagine dragonslayers signet with crit chance now that really would be a ring and a half

Would be a Pally weapon IF the crit wasn't specific on spells.
I would never risk pissing off all the mages just for one % higher chance of a free heal.

Wish the crit was for melee though, cause THAT would make it the perfect pally ring.

I saw a druid posting saying that they should get this over any other class: You worthless half a$s healing piece of sh1t. As much as I love to see your f4ggot a$s crit'ing your spam moonfire on me in WSG, some of us can use this more effectively, like on our 1600+ crit fireballs. You know, the kind of thing that makes us do SOME damage to people with 200 fire resist, while you bounce around on your nature resist crutch. I'd hate for your best spec to be on the same lane as the only high end instance in the game. Stick to +healing, You greedy fukk a$s pride show. You want to nuke? Be a mage, not the middle of the road c0ck sucker class.
