Nice and convenient for druids: teleport to Moonglade before you log and hearth back to inn. I find this helpful seeing as you don't even need to go looking for a moonwell or worry about getting attacked.

There is also a moonwell in Cenarion Hold now.

Isn't there a Moonwell in the Ghoastlands? Theres a camp of Night Elves that has a Moonwell-looking thing in the middle of it, but I don't know if it functions as an actual Moonwell or not.

It's 13, 27, and the island is in the northwest.

For what it's worth, there is a Moonwell in Duskwood by the portal in Twilight Grove at 49,34. Follow the path leading north from the main road at 47,66.

Both coordinates are correct. There are 2 moonwells near each other in Ashenvale, so his are CORRECT ones as well.

The easiest moonwell to get to for Horde players in is Ashenvale. Go west from Splintertree post and cross the first bridge, take the first path to the left. That path leads right to the moonwell at 60,72.
There are only level 26 critters in the area :)

...has a moonwell. It's right by the Taurens, so you can't miss it.
I'm on the horde side (warlock) so I usually go to Felwood to the Ruins of Constellas and use the tainted moonwell. While I'm moving towards the well, I kill the satyrs and I can usually pick up one piece of felcloth in addition to 1-2 demonic runes as well.

There is a moonwell in the middle of the park in Stormwind. There is no blue light coming out of it like in the others but it works just the same.

There's also a moonwell in the Cenarion Circle area.

On my server (Thunderhorn), Felcloth is now selling for about 3g each on the AH. Need 2 to make one Mooncloth, so that's 6g. While one Mooncloth is selling for 10-12g buyout, so while it's still nearly double your money, you gotta consider the 4-day cooldown into your cost, so its not as much of a money-maker as it has been. Better to farm for your own Felcloth and save it than buy it in the AH now. Just kill demons in Felwood for a couple hours and you'll have enough Felcloth to last for a couple weeks' worth of Mooncloth, then its all profit, plus you always get a chance of other good drops, and cash while killing the demons.

lol, you can in fact level tailoring from 250-300 just using the mooncloth transmute. I only missed the sklllup twice.

There are four moonwells that I know of
1. In Ashenvale
2. Outside of Dire Maul easy to sneak by guards
3. In Moonglade
4. In silithus, this is the easiest to get to for anyone 58+ u can set up your hearth there

7. In Auberdine, just NE of Flight Master platform (I used to go there with my Hordie 'cause I couldn't think of any others)

If felcloth is 2G each, and mooncloth is 20G each, that's 20-(2*2)=16G profit on each mooncloth, or 4G every day on avg... so you're saying that prices were inflated for 500 days before they came back to normal? :p

Since none of the coords matched up and made this place a pain to find, I shall endeavor to paint a picture with words:
Look at the river which runs just to the side of Splintertree and follow it south. About 3/8ths of the way south of the length between where the river meets the road road (the one that bisects the entire map) and the river ends is where the moonwell is. The moonwell is just west of the river.
I realize that was not the clearest of descriptions, but hopefully it will get you looking in the right place.

The best moonwell to get to for the horde anyways is in Ashenvale it's easy to get to and you don't have to sneak up to it or anythng and the cords are 59,72.

Seeing as how mooncloth has lost its lustre with BC, they should reduce the cooldown like they did with the arcanite transmute. How about a 2 day cooldown instead of the blasted 4?

a lot of folks think mooncloth is useless now because of the advent of netherweave bags in the expansion, but I disagree...
* it's a different combine to skill up with... regardless of the built-in delay creating mooncloth
* the raw cost of materials for the two bag types is still very close, depending how much felcloth goes for on your server
* the two bag types both have 16 slots and netherweave bags do sell for a few gold less, however mooncloth bags don't bind on equip like netherweave bags do so the mooncloth bags are worth more (and retain a resell value)
I'll grant the naysayers that it's value is diminished, but I feel Blizzard did a good job of introducing a new, competitive product without completely devaluing what was already in existence

So many people make it to difficult to understand how to get to the moonwell near Raynewood Retreat, so allow me to try to simplify it.
From Splintertree Post, travel west on the main road. You will cross the Falfarren River and continue following the road west until you reach the spot on the map where Silverwind Refuge is directly south of you from the road (if you don't have this on your map yet, head to the middle of Ashenvale and go south to discover this region). When you face north on that same road, there will be a glowing (birdbath? hehe) torch and a bench with a book on it. From the columns, go directly north, through the clearing and straight over a spot of bumpy rocks and tree roots, and continue north until you see little lanterns. Follow those, and they will take you right to the well. Hope that helps!

15g? What are we? Communist hippies? Raise the prices, let me make more MONEEAH! Raise the prices everybody! Just 5 gold...for now..muhaahaaa.
Oh, just farm Legashi satyrs (in Azshara) for felcloth. Drops are rare, but hell... you only need 2 to make mooncloth. If they dun drop felcloth they'll drop runecloth, oh happy day.. Gold in my little tailor-tummy..:D

I spent all that time making mooncloth and farming felcloth, and now it's worthless. I too thought at least the new mooncloth would require it. I mean, how long is the cooldown on mooncloth? 2 days I forget, but it's tough to make.
I have a stack of 20 I wanted to sell. guess I missed the boat.
BOOoooo!

ok let me get this straight you can only make hte conversion once every 4 days? and you only get 1 piece when you do? so some of this moon cloth needed patterns can take 24+ days to gather the moon cloth? LOL screw that waste of time if oyu ask me. you can just do instances in far shorter time and get better items

Wow, I should have done tailoring, you can make 15g every 4 days without doing anything:-0

only conceivable reason i can fathom is that its need to make 16 slot bags... So 2 moon cloth basicly = 8 days = 1 16 slot bag
and u can only really sell em for 25g MAX....cant belive ppl pay 13g for it..

I never lost a single hour in my moonclothproduction and I have never used a single one in any product of mine ...
But I do generate money with this! 15-20 gold a piece is a good argument for me ...
I played with the thought of gaining the pattern for mooncloth boots in order to be the only one on Mannoroth (europe) who is able to make them ... but then I realized that no lvl 51 char would ever be crazy enough to pay 75g for an equipment which will be sold or disenchanted as soon as the correct cloth set will drop ... 75g for boots? which will only last for 9 lvl?
you can check this thought with any mooncloth product here! not even the bags are worth to buy the pattern!
As a tailor and mooncloth-seller I do LOVE mooncloth *G*

belt of the archmage > arcanist belt. Seeing as netherwind belt hasn't been seen yet i don't know what that will do. But the archmage belt also sells for 600g so don't be such a whiner us tailors get our fair share of money

when it concerns the 4 day cd on making mooncloth in vanilla. lets say i have two tailors, both horde, and i made a mooncloth on one of them does the cd apply to both tailors or just the one who made it?

You need to be close to a Moonwell to craft these and there is one in Ashenvale. Close to the Horde flightpoint Splintertree Post.
Coordinates are Ashenvale: 60, 72

A tad unfair that the alliance has a moonwell in both Stormwind and Darnassus and the horde needs to travel to ashenvale, moonglade or silithus for this.

For non-Classic players:
For those wanting to learn how to make Mooncloth, you can go buy the pattern from Qia a female goblin in Winterspring for 2 gold, so don't buy it on the AH those that sell it on the AH price it up to one or two thousand gold to those who can't find it or get it due to the lack of the quest not being found for it now. Anyways this was Blizzard's solution to the loss of the quest for learning it. The pattern can be gotten at any time it's not rare or limited.
