Drop rate is too low for this item to make it really usefull, but it's still powerfull enough. I wish it was a trinket though.

This is exactly the same with Mage's Counterspell Effect.
It doesnt drop frequently so it not any useful at all - I usually use at least 15 counterspells / Battleground :p

As stated above , using this item consumes it.

To Guud : If that thing was a trinket , that would be imbalanced.
Of course it would be nice if it had 20charges or something.

This dropped totally random, I never even knew it existed. Must be fun to use in BG's as it doesn't work in instances anyway :D

You will rarely use this item, and it is somewhat pointless. You get one charge and whenever someone is casting a spell you will probably forget to use it :). Most classes have interruption effects, rely on those not this.

only one charge. most people would probably forget that they had this in their bags. people probably would vendor this item or disenchant for some illusion dust.

I suggest making a macro /use Clutch of Foresight spam 20 times so you won't fizzle :).

Look up the list of spells a mage gets. This is one charge of counterspell. No biggie. It can be cast every thirty seconds. No big deal at all other than that anyone 55+ can use it.

after 5 stratholme runs without any good loot at all i ended up with this item. i was happy untill i silenced a gargoyle. item gone, and hardly any effect...

They might as well just make this item grey, because it's virtually vendor trash. I was expecting a trinket with a 1-hour cooldown, like it should be. Instead, I wasted a damn good roll on a worse version of Counterspell that you lose after one cast.

Garbage.

I plan on using it on Onxyia at the start of phase 3 to gain aggro. Seems a good choice for that.

If you see this drop, dont waste a roll on it it, unless its a free for all roll. I saw this drop and frieked out, thinking I could use this in PVP, and waste casters like no other. So I payed someone who used there Vendor Roll on it 5 FRIGGIN Gold, only to realise its one charge >.< Todays lesson, dont roll/pay for &*!@, unless you check thottbot first.

Also thought it had a cooldown. Used it on a level 7 Winter Wolf to test cooldown. It would have been nice if the damn thing had said it had once charge.

is it possible to use on rag to prevent fire spells for 10 seconds or will he just resist and then that the end of the dma nthing? just curious

this is great for warriors for 2 reasons

1. you can pull caster mobs by counter spelling them and forcing them to come in to melee.

2. It also causes a high amount of threat which will really help you hold aggro.

had this at one point on my warlock and was hungering for a mage or priest.

Used it and was like "awww", and for the drop rate, what is the point in even programming that into the game.

I agree, put a cooldown on it and I'd be happy with it.

Fairly useful for any class who lacks an interrupt, but because of it's limited availability it's not something you should rely upon. I managed to get one today on my Hunter, but I know I'll end up having too-good-to-use syndrome with it. Still, nice to have.

Funniest item for a class that doesn't have an interrupt or counterspell. Just used it on a mage casually casting a Frostbolt on me (Druid), the "look" on his face after getting counterspelled by a Druid was priceless.
