Decent weapon for all that can use it at that level (Shaman, Pally, Warrior, Hunter). Good it is cheap at the AH (15-20g).

Never, never, never waste money on this axe. Simply get the quest to complete AV and get the Iced Barbed Spear(https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=19106). It is an extremely overpowered weapon you can get at the same level. Plus it's FREE!

PS: Since WoW 2.0, it's even more wasteful to buy this, considering polearm/axe spec are combined to one talent!

A nice weapon if you can pick one up. Sure the Ice Barbed Spear from the Alterac Valley BG win is better, but you need to win a match in there to get it. With the release of TBC, not many players are wasting time in the 60 and pre-60 battlegrounds so your chances of quickly winning an AV (without going on 40 runs or so) are hit and miss.

I used this axe between levels 51 and 58, it was well worth the 12g i payed for it.
I read in another forum that Blizzard removed the quest that gives the IBS, i don't know if that is true or not.

If you can wield it and find it in the ah at a good price (20g or below), buy it. You will not buy any more weapons for a long time since one of the first quest rewards in Outland is the 'Rage reaver' (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=29908) at 58.

this may seem kinda idiotic,but i got this axe from satyrs in Aszhara.not much to look at,ice barbed spear is way better. if you got this axe just put it into AH and wait for some dope to buy it.

I've seen this axe sell anywhere from 25g. to 60g., i was one of the luck ones to get it for 25g., if i were you i would sell it for somewhere in between. I think it would sell in the 30-40 gold range.

Available for 10-15g on EU-Doomhammer.

Has sold for 30-50g in the past, but there are always loads for sale now.

Supply outstripping demand can only be good for the consumer, as prices will always go lower :)

My cloak obscures almost the entire blade of this axe, it doesn't stick out far enough. All you can see of it is a big long stick jutting out of my shoulder. Very irritating in a nitpicky kind of way.

let me tell you,at level 44 I got a Kang the Decapitator,and it truly rules in PvP,but at 51 I switched over to the Lord Alexander.Why?For starters,the proc rate on the Kang was quite low when I used it,and not counting the +25 agility bonus I put on it,no other bonuses to it.It does have a nice top-end damage,but my guy was about agility more than strength,so i really wasn't getting everything out of it.With the Lord Alexander,I get strength,agility and stamina,good top-end damage,and a faster swing time(more chances for a WF proc).I'm sure someone will tear down my opinion,but for an orc enhancment shaman this is one of the best pre-60 weapons out there.Unless the Kang drops for you,save your money and get this for a fraction of the cost.

If you are a warrior with axe spec get LABA, and when getting to recieve the quest award from AV do not choose IBS but the Bloodseeker, it has got so nice stats for a warrior and can be used just because of that for a long time. Then get exhaulted with the Frostwolf Clan and buy Tuf (the unstoppable force)and perhaps mace spec. LABA works fine for me, just rounded lvl 60, and does not mess up my spec as i tank with an axe. Otherwise go dual wield. I actually see IBS as a more attractive hunter weapon because they cant use Tuf. I might mention that i have a +15 strenght enchant on my LABA, which makes it ok even at 60 until you get TuF.(Or another good 2h).

I've been using this weapon for quite a while now and I'm still very happy with it.
Just bought "Fiery Weapon" enchant on it and now it often does +40 fire damage to targets.

Pretty decent weapon for 2h, and I know I will be using it until I can get get my hands on one of the BG Epic weapons :)

Until an expansion comes along and gives us new toys, this is the best 2h weapon in the game for hunters imo. Huge dps, all the supporting stats a ranged fighter needs and, well, there is just something "lordly" about it.

stop saying where or which mob you got that from....its a WORLD DROP...which means it has a really slim chance to drop from any mob about that lvl in any zone...bosses and chests have slightly better loots when talking about world drops...lets say about 10 times more chance to drop a world drop item than another mob...but plz stop asking where can you get this?....Answer = ON ANY MOB THATS AROUND LVL 51 (item lvl)

1-100 I got a 1 lol
Unforuntely i was lucky because there was a hunter and warrior in group with me and no one else rolled.
I havent enchanted it yet but maybe a crusader enchant is calling. I have respec'd and now have 19% crit and annoymous damage ;)

Just got mine in LBRS off of one of the Smolderthorn spiders. Was a really nice upgrade from my Diabolic Skiver (especially the +sta, str, and agi). Fortunately I was with a bunch of guildies, so they let me have it.

got one yesterday traded 15g and a stack of thick leather for it from a broke hunter looks ok and the added agility and dps makes it a notch above my executioner's cleaver plus we never win at AV so ice-barbed spear is a distant dream ill use this until i find a better or get an decent epic

I agree, this has to be one of the ultimate weapons for a hunter. My 60 hunter uses Stoneraven, But I'd gladly take this axe over it, especially that +5 to axes bonus orcs get.
