This, along with the titanic leggings are some of the best self-attainable items you can get as a fury warrior. 2% hit and 2% crit are pretty godly. There is a bit of loss in stamina from some other items, but those are only attainable from raiding.

A wonderful helm for warriors who do not raid, if you can farm the mats yourself, all the better. I just need Arcanite myself them I am done with this...

Course I hate farming Arcanite. HATE. Then again I am not sure I want to spend 40g per Arcanite Bar.... Ah well.

Acctually this helm is THE best helm for fury dps warriors when it comes to raiding, being the the only helm currently avaliable that grant both +crit and +hit. The only thing it lacks would be stamina. But as a fury dps warrior you are not likley needed to tank on the specific encounter and should not need insane amounts of hp. A good enchant (again for raiding fury dps warriors) for this helm would be +attack speed or perhaps a +str enchant. The +attack speed, in addition to the same enchant on you'r legs, increases your chance of procing flury per second wich in turn greatly increases your overall dps.

I agree with the above posted in accordance to pre-2.01 that this is the best self-attained dps fury helmet in the game, but in 2.01 I think that the PvP blue helm, which is quite easy to get, is much easier on the wallets of those trying to acquire 12 arcanite bars. It also rivals by only missing out on 10 hit rating, 14 crit rating, but provides 24 stamina, and 3 more str, making it much more all-around viable for pvp/grinding/dps than the lionhear.t, which I found to be quite deficient in grinding/pvp due to its massive lack of stamina. However, for solely raiding, if you can afford the helm, it's pretty fantastic.

I think this helm is still worth it. I doubt you will get easily better leveling helm for TBC. Materials are farmable in week or so if you have mining. I farmed & bought stuff from AH and the price is somehwere around 300g.

Which is amazing, being only level 57 and so easily obtained.

I'm sorry Wow14, but...

HoER gives you 52 attack power and 1.3% to crit.
Conq's Crown gives you 56 attack power, and .9% crit.
LHH gives you 36 attack power, but 2% to crit AND 2% to hit.

Don't underestimate +hit for a Fury Warrior. This is the best DPS helmet in the game. The 2% to hit is much more valuable than the 20~ attack power you'd gain from either of those helmets that you mentioned, not to mention the crit that you'd lose. Not even close to the best for PvP, though, the helmets you mentioned are much better for that.

With TBC its a great time to make one of these for your alts, the arcanite bars cost 2g each on my server and the claws are something you can farm yourself as you level up (For example, Cats in Winterspring could get you half a level of experience and 40 wicked claws in the process). The rest of the mats still come to less than 100g, meaning its a very cheap way to give a fury warrior alt a bit of a boost on his way to 70.

I am wondering if this more a helm for dual-wielding warriors. The +2% chance to hit seems a little wasted on my paladin, who rarely seems to miss.

Has anyone seen this before? Someone linked it on Stonemaul in Org, and I cant seem to find anythign on it. Is the same as Lionheart Helm but also has a stat to return shadow dmg to attackers. Starting to think it was a dream...

The title says it all, being on a high population server has it's benefits. I am on Ner'Zhul PvP Alliance side, with the new linked AH's this patch it may have helped slightly. Save up about 350-400g and you can buy all of the items off of the AH if you just spend a little time. (I usually see them for about 550g on the AH and it's not very often) In total you will need:

92 thorium ore/bars (smelt rate is 1 to 1)
4 azerothian diamonds
10 blue sapphires,
40 wicked claws (took awhile as most people don't auction these)
12 arcane crystals to use in making 12 arcanite bars
Transmutes at 5g per, I managed to use my transmute and 3-4 friends did theirs for free, then I paid for the rest. Advertise on the hub city channels.

So far, the helm seems exception for PvP/dps'ing but it is definitely not for tanking. It has no stamina, killing it's usefulness in a position where you will be hit by elites dealing a lot of damage. I believe it's well worth it.

This helm is the king of helms for dual wield DPS warriors.

The Helm of Endless Rage is excellent for PvP or MS builds, but the heavy stamina bonus isn't going to any use if you're not getting hit... the bonus crit and the underestimated 2% hit make up for the small attack power loss.
Hell, even the Conqueror's Crown is uncomfortably close to this dang level 56 helm, but I'd advise wearing Conqueror's instead of banking it or something so people don't question your sanity :P

Let's hope that there's an upgrade to Lionheart someday for the DPS Dual Wielders out there, like myself...

well since new patch.. arcanite bars have gone from 25g to 40g.. thanks to .5 set. ive been waiting awhile to get lionheart.. i waited till after patch and now, instead of having money left over, i just barely made the mats with 500g yay for price guaging. thank god guildy made it and didnt charge me. <3 to guilds

Since last patch, the price on Arcanite Bars has risen from 20-25g up to 30-40g each on Skullcrusher EU, which is ridicilous :/

Don't think I will get this unless prices get normal again. Thinking of an Arcanite Reaper now is like 700g+.

Talked to the only guy with the recipe on my server, told me he'd craft it for me no problem if I had the mats. Came back 2 days later with everything and he said he also needed a 500g "smithy fee". I have officially lost all faith in the goodness of other people.

The median price is way off tho. On my server the matts goes for 460g if u buy it all for a decent price and dont farm for any parts. 10-20g for making it is what most ppl take on my server.

I see a lot of high end dps warriors using this helmet, especially the dual-wield fury warriors.

It's a bummer there is no hp on these though =(

It's the absolute best Fury helmet in the game for pve dps. 2% hit is absolutely huge, plus the 2 crit to keep up flurry, and of course a good bit of strength. I use a helm of endless rage and conq's helm for pvp over this for obvious reasons, but you just can't beat this helmet for pve dps.

All complaining about the price on my server Scarshield legioen (Alliance) there is only that i know that can make it. So my friend farmed long time for the mats and he talks to the guy. The guy is the best dressed dude on the server and leader of the most powerfull guild, he has tons of money and he asks 250G just to craft them. So be happy if u only need to pay 50G as a tip

Surprised the price still stays up. Its mostly the arcanite bars that keeps the pricing high even in modern classic wow. I doubt you will see it below 500g. But its still the best DPS helm in classic, but there are many alternatives that maybe "only" lack 1% crit, 1% hit etc.
