This is an excellent raiding set for paladins and a decent pvp set if all you are doing is healing, otherwise a spelldamage set for holy like judgement, or tier 2.5 for a ret pally would serve better in pvp

You have to complete the attunement set, get flagged, do the quest "echoes of war", and then you'll recieve a class quest for each armor quest. The quest materials is looted from bosses in naxx

I heared that blizard said tier 3 would be used to level up to 70. I dont see how we can use this for leveling if we cant do damage.

And does anyone think that most of the tier 2 sets look better than tier 3 sets?

You can't get any of these items directly from the bosses in Naxx (with the exception of the ring) -- you have to turn in a token plus additional materials to a quest NPC in Light's Hope Chapel to get your item. The token system is similar to that of AQ (20 and 40) and ZG, in that a particular token can be used by more than one class. In Naxx, the warlock tokens are shared with mages and priests. Warriors and rogues share another token class, while Pallies, Shamans, Druids, and Hunters share the third and final token class.

Each of the main bosses of a wing drops two tokens, while the other bosses drop one token. The armor slot a particular boss drops will always be the same. The lesser bosses in a particular wing will drop the same armor slot, with the exception of the Abomination wing which has 4 bosses instead of the usual 3. In the Abomination wing, the third boss (Gluth) will drop one token that any of the other lesser bosses can drop. Kel'Thuzad drops the ring to complete the set, and no turn-in is necessary.

The four "minor" pieces of the set all drop from the first two bosses of the wings, plus all four pieces have a chance to drop from Gluth:

Waist: Plague Wing (Noth, Heingan) or Gluth
Shoulder: Abomination Wing (Patchwerk, Grobbulus, Gluth)
Wrist: Spider Wing (Anub'rekhan, Faerlina) or Gluth
Feet: Deathknight Wing (Razuvious, Gothik) or Gluth

The four "major" pieces of the set all drop from the main boss of a wing. Each of these bosses will drop 2 tokens:
Head: Thaddius (Abomination Wing)
Chest: The Four Horsemen (Deathknight Wing)
Leg: Loatheb (Plague Wing)
Hand: Maexxna (Spider Wing)

The materials needed in addition to the token vary by class and armor slot. Each set item requires a certain amount of "wartorn <armor class> scraps" (e.g. cloth wearers need "wartorn cloth scraps") which drop off of the trash mobs in Naxx. The amount required for each armor slot:

Head: 15
Shoulder: 12
Chest: 25
Wrist: 6
Hand: 8
Waist: 8
Leg: 20
Feet: 12

For a total of 106 for the entire set.

In addition to the token and scraps requirement, the hand-ins will also require quantities of two of the following five items:
Mooncloth
Cured Rugged Leather
Arcanite Bar
Nexus Crystal
Arcane Crystal

There is another, demi-set that drops in Naxx called "Armor of the Grand Crusader". It isn't actually a set, but as far as I know it has a piece for every slot.

Guess what? It has your hybrid stats. It has stam, int, STR, Spellcrit, normal crit, and so forth.

Redemption is good for paladins in raids. Why? Because all paladins do in raids is HEAL. For everything else, there's masterca- er, Grand Crusader.

WTF are you people complaining about. if you can do naxx then you also can do aq40 ,and aq40 has avenger set wich wtf pawns in pvp . not to mention that there is a lot of pvp items in naxx like the grand crusader stuff and other very good plate items.

Do your role in pve cleanse bots , do you think druids shamans priest rogues and warriors are happy with their naxx set? the answer is no ,so stop complaining

While I agree with you guys that this set leaves much to be desired when soloing, the fact remains that if you are in a position to ever get this gear, you will be in a hardcore raiding guild and thus will already be used to healing and cleansing and this gear is AWESOME for that type of pally.
As for PVP/DPS gear there are plenty of other things out there to get for it. You'll probably be farming BWL if you're doing Naxx, so get a 2H from there and some of the plate or even mail DPS gear. Quit complaining, we're a support class for God's sake. This set is everything you should be dreaming about.

avenger and judge is good for PVP so DONT whine this gear is for heal only and im ok with that cause the other sets had little healing with them and now maybe we will see the insane healing power that comes with paladins fast heals and even maybe with some nice healer rings and trinkets u can come up with 1000 hp flash heal (but doubt it)

for all those who think this will give u a "low cost insta heal", you are wrong. you can only cleanse someone if they have a disease, magical effect, or poison on them. therefore, you cant go running around spamming cleanse to heal ur raid. would've been sick if u could, but u cant. sorry to dissappoint

There has always been for some reason a sterotype for each class, and it pisses me off. For warriors, hit 60 go protection, palidans hit 60 go holy, Druids restro Priests healing only. People act like there is only one spec for a class once you hit 60 and if you try to point out the other two you're shunned. I have a 60 warrior, 0/38/13,60 pally 10/11/30. Fury warrior and ret pally.
Pally has with buffs 6250 armor, 1740 AP, 34% crit rate, 325 defense with a 2h weapon equiped. Crits for 1800 melee dmg and another 1400 or so holy dmg. Up to UBRS i topped dmg done in entire instance usually between 20-30%. Almost always had highest dps with 280-340. Just in a 10 man group. Once in ZG that dropped to top 3 for dmg done and top 5 for dps. But still can deal out dmg better then i can heal. Pally still has at least 1 green item on him, rest epics or blues.
If you're in a 40 man raid and you have 6 or more warriors along it is plain stupid to have all of them protection spec. I run zg and aq on my warrior, as i'm fury i don't like shields, i don't have the talents for it and i don't want em. 4 or 5 other warriors full protection spec doing 60 dps on a boss. The only people doing dps cam pretty much be one hit, maybe two hit if they catch aggro because they're in cloth mail or leather. They go down, everyone is screwed. Dual wielding with buffs my warrior has 6400 armor, 5800 health, 350 defense a 37% crit rate, 1680 AP 19% dodge and i out dps everyone. 400+ dps on bosses. Had a warrior getting aggro for a full 3 minutes with no dps from anyone else on him. I grab aggro in about 5 seconds tanks can not grab aggro back, rather then die without a fight i tank and deal out dmg and i don't get healed because i'm not the MT. Wearing 3 epics rest blues.
Im confused as to why players think the only way to take down bosses is to have someone tank him for 10 minutes, with slow dps on him chancing the dpsers running out of mana, or healers getting killed or running out of mana. 3 Fury warriors can do the combined dps of the entire raid group for a battle. Yes there needs to be a tank, yes he should try to keep aggro. But if someone is going to take aggro from him it should be someone that won't be one hit and screw the whole raid.
Same for pallies, yes they can heal, and somewhat well at that, but they can still buff and cleanse while attacking a mob. Look at the class description. Melee healer hybrid. Can do both, just not as well as a warrior or priest. A full ret pally, that knows how to play ret which is pretty much an arms warrior with buffs, will have enough mana to heal HIMSELF. A pally shouldn't be the pivitol healing point. Preists do it best, druids do it better.
Just because blizz makes a new shiney set doesn't mean you need it simply because it fits your class. That's why they also throw out lots of excellent non specific class armors. My warrior has the gloves and belt of heroism on, pally has the gloves and bracers from soulforge. That's it. Both of them are capable of doing a better job of tanking, healing or dpsing then a majority of players with similar armor quality.
It seems that once one guild is the first to take down a boss they have set the outline for how it should be done. Sometimes it's true, most times it's not.
Bottom line, if someone can play their SPEC well, LET THEM. If everything were meant to be a specific way...IT WOULDN"T BE AN RPG. Everyclass would get the same stats, same gear and predetermined groups. IF multiple classes can equip an item then it isn't a goddamn HUNTER weapon or WARRIOR armor or ROGUE sword. It should be who will get best use out of it, who it's an upgrade for. Fury warriors and rogues need the same stats, agility, crit %, STR, STAM and AP. A fury warrior can easily out dps a rogue, and live past 2 hits. So rogues laying claim to a sword ring or necklace because it has any of those is BS. Hunters...well i have a 60 hunter, but i made him on horde so i never play him. But hunters...have great RANGED dps, they benifit more from dual wielding simply for the stats to increase ranged atk dmg. HUNTERS DO NOT NEED EVERYTHING BECAUSE THEY CAN EQUIP IT. IF you're looking at a 2h axe that does 70 odd dps and deals 280-370dmg per hit, a 2% crit chance and pluse 20-30 stam/str/agil, who is really going to get better use out of that? The hunter that rarely melees outside of BG, or a pally or Arms warrior? Probably the Arms warrior, but pallies shouldn't be shut down right away, nor should a holy pally roll on it just because it "looks cool" and hunters shouldn't drool over the chance to show everyone twice a week just how hard they can hit. A holy pally shouldn't have it just so he can walk around in cloth with a weapon that would have been better off with the arms warrior. It doesn't matter how good your gear is if you don't know how to play.
Have some common sense stop !@#$%ing that this item is meant for this class, or this class is supposed to play this spec. Because sadly their are weak willed people that see that crap and go "dang, he done do gots a point" The people that come to that conclusion outnumber greatly the people with any amount of common sense. Try different things, if they don't work, try it another way but stop forcing everyone to be mostly useless doing repetitive crap.

Great for Naxx where fights are usually too critical to even lose a pally to going up to a mob to regen some mana (unlike BWL/AQ/MC/etc). Outside of Naxx, I'd wear Judgement over this poorly-rounded set any day.

I don't care what a lot of you say, I think this set will still be worth going after even when i'm lvl 70. The set bonuses are awesome and everything about it make it worth it for a Holy Pally like me. I'm even planning on putting every single 61 points into the Holy tree. Granted, I have a Shadow Priest to deal my damage, I'm definitely planning on keeping my pally for Healing. Who know what awesome armor pieces await me in the expansion, but this one will definitely be worth using!

Ok, this set is, yes, a major source of heals. And that gets us... where in a raid? By the time you've collected this set, BC is out. And you've burned all that DKp and money to make something the equal of blues you'll be using in 10 levels. nice to meet you lvl 60 twink. Honestly, if this thing had +damage and healing instead of just healing, Every pally in existance would drool over it because that's where what damage we can do comes from, holy spells. Strength is nice, so as agil, but spell damage just flat ANNIGHILATES. You can't just say that someone "won't use it for pvp because of tier 2.5" because not everyone has been able to get that yet, same with judgement. I go to Naxx with my guild every time we go, because in my mixed gear I have +531 to my heals, 7100+ mana buffed, we clear Spider wing every week and take Razuvious, and then we usually clear AQ40 through Twin Emps on the last raid day just for a break. I'm ranting, but it's true, pallies are greatly undervalued, and most pallies in raids just use a build their class leader found for em online that they don't even understand. Oh well, everything is changing come BC, Which may include EVERYONE'S roles. Warriors may have to be non-prot spec, mages fire spec, and druids feral! ZOMG! varying specs!

Dude, I just did the math of this vs. the stuff I have now... it has more armor, and slightly more stats and more mana/5... but the total increase in +heals is TINY. I wear nbothing but plate for my healbot gear, but my +heals on my flash heals is now 543. Yes, I have afew enchants on my stuff, but I looked at these things, the only TRUE upgrade is the bracers for heal gear, but things like the gloves flat suck, Peacekeeper gauntlets off friggin HAKKAR are better then these ones. With +heal to bracers they're awesome, but the rest.... feh. Set bonuses are nice, but not great. Now, the T3 sets for the other classes, of course, rock hardcore, but if it IS an upgrade for you (because I know not all of us have full T2 or 2.5) snap it up, but save your DKP for grand crusader drops and so forth guys, those ones DO rock :)

I did have a paladin that did DPS. It was 20/0/31 - he indeed had good DPS. The problem with paladin's DPS is that he does not have aggro reducing skills. A rogue can use feint and hunter can feign death so they can surpass the aggro generated by main tank, while paladin CAN NOT.

If your DPS Paladin can pull more aggro than the Warrior in your raid group then you should be the MT. You dont need anti-aggro abilities, you're a Plate wearing Tank!

Tier 4 and Tier 5 have the same token turn in as tier 3 but you get the option of a Tanker/Damage/Healer set! I myself am a tankadin and I tank for my raiding guild (not just trash mobs.) gear in BC will be a lot better for multi-specced classes in the expansion so dont worry.

I know, I know... Why can't this set look more bad ass! well, Pallys are "Holy Warriors"... The keyword being HOLY, meaning good, nice, like a policeman, firefighter, or Doctor... We have to look COOL but also Good and right and righteous!

So once I had that in mind - I fell in love with all the pally sets! We (Pally's) are blessed with the fact that ALL our sets from 0.0 - 5.0 look amazing! (PVP being my fav!) Have yet to see horde chr not run from me outside a BG!

As for the post above (the long one!) I agree with everything he said - cept for the tone - I HATE it when people use the term NOOB like its some kind of bad thing... I have only been playing for 5 months and my pally is 60 (Holy) in nearly full PVP gear - and I still dont know all the silly abv's and in game lingo... Does that make me a NOOB? I think not. Anyways...

Stop hating! peeps have to learn this stuff somehow and making them afraid to ask is just plain STUPID & mean... I actually created an alt pally just to log on and ask stupid questions so people wont think I ebayed my chr... thats how bad it has gotten (on my server at elast)

Pallys = whatever is missing:
I have DPSed - Tanked - Healed - even CC & 6th man res only outside instance escort (good money in that!) I dont do the same damage as a warrior BUT if I combo an attack with a Holy Shock, JoR, HoJ, Heal Warrior, Shield + heal dps, back off and heal

That equals as much damage as the rogue and warrior in five seconds as well as healing the tank for 1400 and the rogue for 600+ and an 8sec stun on target for everyone to take a sec to regroup thoughts! Priceless!

Hand to hand & toe to toe no magic a pally is worthless! but so is any class if you take thier strongsuit away from them!

BTW - Im still rocking my Crusader chanted Ice Barbed Spear - I love that damned thing!

everyone complains that this set doesnt have any +damage or + strength. if thats what you are whining about, WTF are you doing in Naxx? If you are in Naxx you better have 5/8 Tier 2 set, minimum. No one says that once you have your T3 set that you are stuck inside it like Spawn. you can change armor. if you wanna DPS bring ur Judgement set along. it does give + strength.

goes very nicely with this set. It has same colors an paterns as well as stats that work well w/ set. I personally use Widows Embrace an Deaths Bargain (while raidn)wich doesnt really look that great w/ the set..I have MoM for PvP it also looks like it was made to go w/ Tier3 set.. iget oohs an ahhs whenever im in IF

Meh, big turn off that there's no Resistance on it; Judgement Set alone gives me +10 Frost and +30 Shadow. Which are pretty important in Naxx.

Also depressing to see that T3 was the start of the removal of Resistance from the game. :\
