As it says in the quest text, go to Tanaris. The Cavern of Time is located 60,50. Go to the location 65,50 just outside the Cavern of Time. You will need to avoid the Elite Dragons flying around but that's not a major problem.

This is the start of the longest and most complicated quest chain in the game. It was included when Ahn'Qiraj was released and one person on each server has to complete it in order to open up the gates of Ahn'Qiraj so everyone can do the instances (AQ20 and AQ40). For some reason, Blizzard chose to keep the quest chain available even after the gates are opened so that everyone can do it. There's no point in doing it afterwards, but this got to be the best quest chain in the game, lore-wise and otherwise.

There actualy is a point to donig this quest as some of the quests in the long chain count towards Loremaster title, also at the end you can recieve the only Epic cooking recipe in game atm. Which can be sold or used. https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=21025

To be more specific, you do not need to be able to talk to Anachronos via Neutral or better reputation; just find him and stand in the spot indicated above to complete the quest.

In Dalaran, upstairs in the Violet Citadel is a portal to the Caverns of Time, it doesn't require rep like the shatt portal.
Not only is it a nice shortcut to Silithus, but you land practically right next to Anachronus (ok, so you need to turn around and walk outside - he's the big unfriendly dragon).

Walk up to him to complete the quest, return to the quest giver in Silithus to complete.
Your reward: 'You are now hated with Brood of Nozdormu'

I had the intention to do the whole quest line for ages but there was this small matter of "you-are-not-friendly-enough" with the Brood. After I got my act together and scraped enough rep to start the quest line, I haven't looked back... It's been a fun adventure to the southernmost tip of Kalimdor, the deep depths of Molten Core, the oh-so-scaly lair of Onyxia and saying hello to Weavil as well amongst many other things.

If you have time and the people (for raids), I seriously recommend doing the quest line. One of the best quest lines currently implemented in WoW and it damn well is worth doing, even if AQ has already been opened. You do it for the adventure, not the rewards.

For those that down-ranked me, I am currently in beta. I transferred a toon that was on the questline and the quest was not in my log when I transferred. I also created a premade toon and flew down to Silithus. This quest is not available as of build 12857.

PART ONE – THE BLUE SHARD

Step 1.) "What Tomorrow Brings"

This is relatively easy. A simple Fedex quest. To obtain the quest you have to head to the center of Silithus and get this from Bristolth of the Shifting Sands. He is a Night Elf commander in full "Giant-stalker" hunter tier. To complete this quest you just have to head to the Caverns of Time. Travel to Tanaris. Head towards the Caverns of Time and head between the two large mountain sides on the path towards the entrance to the cave. The quest should complete then. Once that done, turn it in to Bristolth.

Step 2.) "Only One May Rise (Raid)"

This quest should be relatively easy as well. Especially with all the new Northrend gear and content that was released in Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack. Gather a raid group and head into Blackwing Lair. Once there kill Broodlord Lashlayer and loot his head then bring it back to Bristolth

Step 3.) "The Path of the Righteous"

This one is also very simple. Head to Hive'Zora, Hive'Ashi, or Hive'Regal in Silithus and collect 200 carapace fragments from the Silithus insects dwelling inside the hives. Then return to Bristolth.

Step 4.) "The Hand of the Righteous"

This is the same as the previous quest. Go out and get 200 more fragments then return to Bristolth to exchange them.

Step 5.) "Anachronos"

This one is another Fedex in the chain. Head back to Tanaris and go to the coordinates 64,50. Speak with Anachronos and complete the quest then speak with him again to gain the next part of this chain.

Step 6.) "Long Forgotten Memories"

This is ANOTHER Fedex! Head to the gates of AQ in Silithus and look for a small red glowing shard on the ground, click it. After the scene return to Anachronos (If you are unable use the shard try obtaining some Dreamfoil from Zangarmarsh then return to the shard and try again.) The shard is located at 28,89.

Step 7.) Chit-chat in Azshara. <---- (not the real quest name just making it up due to what you need to do next)

After you go back to Anachronos you need to then go speak with Azurego in Azshara. He will then give you a letter that will then start the Azuregos' Magical Ledger.

Step 8.) “Azuregos' Magical Ledger”

Just head back to Tanaris and give the Ledger to Narain Soothfancy. Head to Steamweedle Port and go north along the shoreline until you start running out of land, look around and you should find him. He’s a little gnome in red.

Step 9.) “Stewval, Ex-B.F.F.”

A.) Now before I explain, there will be two other quests he makes available after you give him the ledger, accept those as well. Head to Silverpine forest and go to 46,86 or around there, search for a little wooden box and open it. He should be in there.

B.) Once you get to him he’ll tell you he left the goggles in Molten Core. SO! Get a group going and get into Molten Core and keep trying until you find those goggles.

Step 10.) “Never Ask Me About My Buissness”

A.) Okay first part is just go back to Gadgetzan and speak with Dirge Quickcleave. He’ll give you a quest that is part of the chain.
B.) Now you gotta run over to Feralas and head over to the Isle of Dread. There you’ll find your birds. All of the mobs are solable so keep killing until you get 20 of the loinchops. Now you may notice an elite boss called Lakmaeron. I suggest getting a second or third person unless you think you got more balls than a kodo. Kill him, grab the carcass and head over to Gadgetzan to turn it in.
C.) Now he’s going to tell you to get him 20 goblin rocket fuel and 20 deeprock salt. Just head to the nearest city and look for some on the Auction House unless you know an engineer. Head back to him and fork em’ over to Dirge
D.) Finally he gives you a final quest that gives you your 500 pound chicken. Go back to Narain and give it to him.

Step 11.) “Draconic for Dummies”

A.) Okay to start off you need to look at your map and zoom way out until you see just Kalimdor. Look south of the continent and you should see a sea serpent on the map. Head towards that sea serpent and move towards the very tip of its nose. There is where you should find the place to complete the quest and continue the next ones in the chain.
B.) Now return to Narain and get another quest from him. Head to Winterspring then go down to 67,72. Use the bag of golds there. Once the gnome that appears in the gyrocopter appears, he’ll say afew things then send a 61 elite gorilla on your ass. Kill him then return to Narian.
C.) Now you must travel quite a bit to gain the pages in this next part.
Chapter I = Doctor Weavil, Dustwallow Marsh - Alcaz Island
Chapter II = Felguard Elite, Blasted lands - Tainted Scar/Dark Portal
Chapter III = Hederine Initiate & Hederine Slayer, Winterspring - Darkwhisper Gorge
Chapter IV = Undercity on table near the book vendor
Chapter V = Stormwind library
Chapter VI = Raid: Onyxia
Chapter VII = Raid: BWL on a table, Near Firemaw's patrol path
Chapter VIII = Raid: Ragnaros
Once all the pages are obtained, bind them together then return to Narain for your reward!

Step 12.) “The Good News and The Bad News”

Now he’s going to want you to gather a large assortment of items for him. You’ll need 20 Arcanite Bars. 10 Elementium ore. 10 Azerothian Diamonds. Finally 10 Blue Sapphires. Return to him once you have collected these.

Step 13.) “Wrath of Neptulon (Raid)”
Now you have to return to Azshara and look around for a Swirling Maelstrom in the Bay of Storms. It should look like a wrecked ship. Use the Buoy and it’ll summon your elite monster, make sure you have a group so you can kill it, loot it. Go to Anachronos to get the
blue shard needed to make the scepter.

PART TWO – THE GREEN SHARD

Step 14.) “Eranikus, Tyrant of the Dream”

What you need to do here is go into Sunken Temple and kill Eranikus and get the quest from Malfurion Stormrage. He will tell you to go to the outer walls of Darnassus. Once you are there, search for a wisp that completes the quest.

Step 15.) “Tyrande and Remulos”

The wisp will give you this quest, travel to Moonglade in search of Keeper Remulos, when found; turn the quest in and obtain the next part of the chain.

Step 16.) “Nightmare’s Corruption”

This one is quite annoying. You’ll need to travel to the Emerald Dream Portals around the world and gain shards from it. There will be dragons around the portals. Though shards only drop off of the dragon trash mobs in Ashenvale, Hinterlands, and Feralas. Though there is one in Duskwood which requires you to kill Twilight Corruptor which is a raid boss in itself. Make sure you loot the shard because there is only one on him and only one person gets it. Head back to Remulos to get the next quest.

Step 17.) “Nightmare Manifests”

Now you’ll need a 5 man before you accept this quest. Once you have it, Eranikus appears and you have to fight him. You aren’t there to kill him, just weaken him I guess. Anyway just fight heal and tank until something new happens or until you can turn in the quest back to Remulos then choose your epic.

Step 18.) “The Champion Returns”

Now you must head back to Anachronos and turn in the green shard.

PART THREE – THE RED SHARD

Step 19.) “Nefarius’s Corruption”

We’re getting close to obtaining the scepter. Head back into Blackwing Lair and kill Vaelstrasz the Corrupt and get a quest from him then kill Nefarius and pick up the red shard then take it to Anachronos to complete the scepter.

PART FOUR – GETTING THE SCEPTER AND FINISHING THE CHAIN

Step 21.) “The Might of Kalimdor”

Accept this quest and turn it back in and get the scepter of the shifting sands. Once that is done, speak with him again to get the second to last quest.

Step 22.) “Bang A Gong!” (Only available to people who had the scepter during/before the war began. It only happens once per server unless there is a bug or Blizzard changes it otherwise.)

Once you bang that gong go back to get that legendary mounter and the next and final quest.

Step 23.) “Treasure of the Timeless One”

This one is the very last quest in this astronomical chain. Talk to the Jonathan the Revelator. Speak with him once more to turn it in and choose your reward from the Timeless Trove

If you want this Feat of Strength, here's what you need to know:

The chain starts with What tomorrow brings in Silithus.

It must be completed before the Shattering, which should be a few days before the Cataclysm expansion set is released on December 7, 2010. November 22 is probably the last possible day. After that, the entire quest chain and everything related to it will be permanently removed from the game.

To complete it, you'll need:

Neutral reputation with Brood of Nozdormu. This can be soloed via turn-ins if you are on this chain (takes around six hours if you're fast). Three full clears of AQ-40 will also do the trick (and then some).
A bunch of mats, notably ten Elementium Ingots. These sell for at least 1000G each. The price is spiking as people try to complete this feat of strength. Other than the sheer time this takes, this is probably the hardest part of the chain.
At least two raids on Blackwing Lair. More like three or four, if you're gathering the Elementium Ingots yourself. Remember that whoever is going is probably going to have to be attuned, so allow some time for this.
One full clear of Molten Core.
One full clear of Onyxia's Lair. Either 10-man or 25-man works.
Five outdoor raid bosses. These can be soloed at 80, but it's a lot easier with three players. Bring along friends so they can see these bosses before they go away forever. The Moonglade one is especially epic.
Visits deep into the heart of Undercity and Stormwind.
A visit to the Sunken Temple.
Travel all over the damn world to talk to, look at, and/or kill lots of things.
At least nine bag slots. More, depending on the order you do things in.

Before you kill Nefarian, Onyxia, and Ragnaros, turn on Free-for-all loot. This will allow you to loot the quest items properly. If you have group loot or master loot turned on, you will not be able to see or loot the quest items until whoever is noted on the corpse as having loot right-clicks on the corpse. That's a pain if someone hearths out early or is disconnected or whatever.

The Elementium Ingots are semi-farmable. Find a pack with Blackwing Technicians. Kill all the technicians, but leave the other mobs alive. Then die. The pack will re-spawn, with the technicians. You can then loot and do it again. Keep a friend who can resurrect you nearby, but out of combat. Or, play on a hunter, and do the same thing with Feign Death. It's cheaper. Note that there is a random hard limit on how many ingots can actually drop per week for you. It appears to be from 4-6, depending on the week. Once that (random) number of ingots drop, no more will drop for that raid. You need to start a fresh raid (on another character or in another week) to get more ingots.

You'll be going to Tanaris a lot. Take the portal in the Violet Citadel (in Dalaran) to the Caverns of Time.

To get attuned to Blackwing Lair, kill the Scarshield Quartermaster, activate his quest item, clear Upper Blackrock Spire, then click on the orb behind the final boss. There is also a portal directly to the raid instance inside of UBRS, a little after killing Rend Blackhand. Getting attuned is recommended, though. Once you're attuned, you can get in by clicking on the orb down the hall from the port to Blackrock Spire.

Your rewards will be a bunch of useless but pretty level 60 epics, a ring that gives you water breathing, a useless (but extremely rare) recipe, a couple books to read, a useless white item, a feat of strength (at 4.0.3a), and some of the best lore in the game.

I was planning to go Onyxia for one of the chapters, and I asked a GM about it. His reply was somewhat surprising, since I didnt think this questchain would get broken until cataclysm. Now it seems its getting broken tomorrow(EU realms).

Currently the item is available. With patch coming in on wednesday's maintenance is will be removed and will not under any circumstances be available from that moment on.

So, according to this GM, this is the last day(16th of November 2010) to complete this chain.

Can anyone confirm, which quests will be removed from this quest chain (1st? All?)? I'm still farming sithilids for rep with BoNozdormu, to go with Anachronos, as for today I can't tell anything more sbout availability. It is very difficult to find anything more on the internet. One thing is sure, that at some point it will not be doable but (for me) it is very imporant what will be disabled/removed.

By completing this quest you gan Hated with the faction Brood of Nozdormu. Perhaps Anachronos will aggro when you get close to him (instead of just sitting there) after the quest completion.

Before today I had no reputation bar with Brood of Nozdormu, but upon completion of this quest my reputation went straight to 250/36000 Hated. Is this normal/ meant to happen?

I received 9550 Xp at level 61 (not 6600 as mentioned earlier).

A very easy quest which just requires a little legwork, no killing necessary. Leave your hearthstone in Cenarion Hold to make it even quicker. Fly to Tanaris and travel down to The Caverns Of Time. Enter along the path. Just approach the dragon until you get the objective complete message than hearth back out and hand in.

Going near Anachronous gives you the completed objective: "Discover the Brood of Nozdormu (Complete)". However, there is no option to turn in the quest. Anachronous is standing right there, obviously hostile, but not aggro (there are other dragons in the area, but none you have to go anywhere near to get to him). I have no reputation bar for BoN. Level 61.

Again, the question is how do you complete/turn in the quest, not just complete the quest objective. Or can it not be completed since the expansion?

(The quest complete text above is for a quest in Blackrock depths, completely unrelated. Wtf?)

It was a very annoying quest, but I saw my brother finish. In Caverns of Time, there is that road in the middle that leads to Anachronos, Brood of Nozdormu. Just walk in the middle of that road close enough to Anachronos and the quest will be done. You have to stand in a certain place on the road to complete the quest :)

#1 It's easy and takes five minutes
#2 ZERO dragons agro'd on me at level 60
#3 If you run in ON YOUR MOUNT you are 100% safe
#4 It's not on the mountain, it's in the "courtyard". Right in front! What could be easier!

After the event with the crystals, a friend and I ground out some rep with these guys, therefore we already discovered the Brood of Nozdormu rep.

(Also, other than the crystals event, can you get any more rep with these guys?)

Stand at 64 , 50 and you will complete the quest, note though all the dragons will aggro on you. Except that Anachronos will not so I just ran in form the left and went around got behind him then went forward form 65 to 64 and it completed.

I was standing right behind and got the message of having discovered Caverns of Time, and *still* did not complete quest.

Finally I went down to Anachronos "right" (from A's perspective), a little bit down. You don't need to kill Chronalis. The other two elite mobs are easy, of course.

as a few people have said just sneak up the left hand side and stay mounted. u need to get to 64 50, and dont worry if the last brood aggros u you can even out run him on foot quite easily

I rode to the West side of Tick, the first Elite dragon there, and snuck up to 64,50 and completed without aggro. I waited until Chronalis' back was turned, dunno if that helped of not.

From the moment you see Anachronos, Brood of Nozdormu the quests gets completed.
There is not even any sign of aggro. I didn't even have to come near the dragon. Just stay of the road & try to get as close to the gates as you can. From the moment he pops-up on your screen it says completed.

I have to admit I do not understand the comments on this quest. I got this quest from Baristolth of the Shifting Sands in Cenarion Hold in Silithus and I turned in the quest to him. He stands to the left of the "city hall" stairs in Cenarion hold, about at the bottom of the gryphon hill.
Finding Anachronos was easy and I did not have to fight anything to finish this quest. Turning in the quest made me Hated with Brood of Nozdurmo.

U can avoid all bosses there, and come from back of the anachronos, he won't attack u, but to complete quest u need to stay before him, to do that u need to run a place where chronalis is, if will attack u but u need to run out of him and quest will be marked as completed, even a mage like me can do that without a single kill

FYI...

The Loc is right..however..that loc encompasses a larger area..

So the place I stood was right by 5 rocks that stuck up out of the ground. 2 little, 1 big, 1 medium and one small in front of the medium. Stood there and discovered. You should be facing Due east at the point..if you look to the south you'll see two pilliars.

Hope I helped instead of making things more murky.

extremely simple quest.
if you're lvl 60 i dont know how you could aggro anyone doing the quest..
I just rode around the 2 dragons at the front (which you can solo one at a time at lvl60 anyway), then up on the path towards the final dragon..
all done.. easy..
you get 110 faction with Brood of Nozdormu

This isn't all that tough, but you will probably die doing it, since you can't complete it without aggroing a lvl 61 elite. I recommend that you remove all armor/weapon items with durability from yourself before you start, or you'll find yourself with a not-so-nice repair bill later.

It's easy to get past the first two dragons near the entrance. Once you're past them, you will see a third, Chronalis. He is the lvl 61 elite. You may ignore Anachronos, who stands at the gates beyond him, because he does not aggro unless attacked.

This is the hard part. You need to reach a point in the middle of the path leading up to Anachronos, but it's approximately where Chronalis is. If you run up the middle of the road under him, he will aggro, but you will complete the quest.

If you miss the spot and die, just run back to your corpse, rez, and try again. You should be able to get through this quickly without a repair bill.

Doesn't seem like everyone understands how/what to do this, so here is a small guide(nothing that haven't been said above, but I compiled it :-)

You get the q at 49,36 in Silithus
You go to the above mentioned coords(64,51) in Tanaris(Caverns of time).
You don't have to fight anything, just for standing at the right spot
You get the "Quest completed" thing
You go back to the questgiver in Silithus
You gain around 6600XP(lvl 60), and get a new quest(raid).

Thats all - boring quest !

Just stand in front of him, near the lvl 61 Elite Dragon, easy enough.

Eventually you will get a quest for BWL, if you're not ready for it, I'd suggest you don't waste your time on this quest.

Yes, the quest starts in Silithus at Cenarion Hold from Baristolth (49,36). Then you find the dragon in Caverns of Time in Tanaris (64,51). Return the completed quest to the original quest giver in Silithus.

The reason for becoming hated with the Brood of Nozdormu is that you must -earn- their trust. It gives many rewards, based upon what WoW's official website indicates:

So, go and become neutral with the Brood. ;)

This quest is really buggy... before I read here at what coordinates to stand. I shapeshifted to cat and snuck past all the dragons and was standing behind Anachronos and I didn't discover him... I was even stupid enough to hit him (died instantly) but I didn't discover.
So I'm really happy I fond the coordinates here =)

I can stand inside the boss and not discover him, but standing three feet in front of him I can? How amusing ^^ As everyone said, no aggro needed if you're 60, however be on your mount incase you accidently aggro his guard, easily outrunnable.
