Not exactly a prereq but a sub quest for Seeing Where Your Loyalties Lie.

Also:
The Oversized Pirate Hat is available from Narkk in the Old Port Authority.
The Cow Head is from "Doing to deed" on Bossy, second floor of the building with the Leatherworking Supplier

This quest is awesome, and has two pop cultural references. First is to the Simpsons episode "Make Room For Lisa" where Bart decides to play a prank on his mother, Marge, for eavesdropping, and pretends to be a criminal on the run.

"Uh, oh, a cow!" "Eat lead, Bossy!"

Second reference is to an internet meme commonly used when referring to recently deceased celebrities, "Goodnight, sweet prince."

I find it slightly funny that the cow whose head you remove is named "Bossy" and in the completion it shows the cow with the text "Rest in peace sweet queen" (Give or take a few words). If you're familiar with 4chan /b/ the "Queen" of the internet is named "Boxxy". I'm unsure if this is just coincidence or an actual reference to a /b/ meme, but knowing World of Warcraft I'm leaning to the later.

This really shows what they can do with quests now. I loved the Fleetmaster
and baron kicking the patched bag back and forth (with the stuff in it)

I was redoing this area for the cape of stranglethorn achievement. I instantly
recognized that this must be a new one, with the updated complexity.

The final picture of bossy, where the "wanted" guy you are after usually is:

Classic. Good night sweet queen, indeed.

By the way, "Good night, sweet prince" is from Shakespeare's Hamlet. It is said quite
a lot in reference to someone dying, or perhaps even going to sleep. It refers back to that.

Bossy is a long time cow nickname ( http://pdca-one.blogspot.com/2005/08/why-is-cow-called-bossy.html)

So both of these are unlikely to be "inspired" by more recent things called "memes."
The young folk need to spend less time on the series of tubes, evidently (or perhaps make
better use of something called "google.")

Bossy, I need to ask something great of you. I need yo cut off your head to prove my loyalty to the bloodsail Buccaneers, so they will allow me to infiltrate their ranks and hopefully discover their true intentions. Booty Bay needs you, Bossy...now more than ever.

Both options let you choose between the following:
Do the deed. --->Cow head.
Chicken out.----->Bossy breathes a heavy sigh of relief.

Killing Fleet Master Seahorn instead of Bossy completes the "Return both items" part of the quest for some reason. However, it doesn't give you a cow head or pirate hat, which makes the quest incomplete still. So it would appear that the only way to complete the quest is to kill Bossy.

Wowhead quest tracker is showing this quest incomplete for me, even though I've completed the quest along with all of the subsequent follow ups.

Quest completist and wowhead both shows this as incomplete, but I think its a blizz problem - as its not registered on the server that its done, yet its not available to me, and I do recall completing the quest

I actually have a different problem myself. I've done this quest line at least once before, but this time around, Bossy is not showing up where she should. I'm hoping this isn't some glitch due to recent patches because I really like this quest line, and I intend to follow it with every character I make in this game.

With the Statue of liberal Tradeing Regulations damged it is time a new monument was built to welcom travellers into Booty Bay. A statue in memory of the greatest, most noble of sacrifices made on this day by Bossy in service to her town.

The thing that gets me is.....WHY is killing Bossy the only option to finish this quest?

Why do you have to kill the ONLY cow in this area when there are plenty of stray cows up near Goldshire. Ok maybe its the whole 'not carrying a dead cows head x distance' but seriously....isn't that kind of a hole in the system? Then again maybe its done this way so people don't go off on a cow slaughter spree.

You need to find Rikqiz and Narkk. To start off, find Rikqiz first, find the goblin under the boat, turn left and head up the ramp, he's in the second house, both are unmarked. Next find Narkk, he's actually the goblin at the bottom of bb who sells the parrot pets. Then simply return both items to the fleet master and watch him and Baron Revilgaz kick around the bag :)

Looks Like a Tauren Pirate to Me

Obtain a Cow Head and an Oversized Pirate Hat, then bring them back to Fleet Master Seahorn.

	Return both items to Fleet Master Seahorn (1)
	Oversized Pirate Hat (1)
	Cow Head (1)

Description

Firallon wants MY head? Now that's interesting. But it's nothing we can't work around.

This Yancey character probably doesn't know my face too well. Most non-tauren find us tauren indistinguishable from one another. In fact... most non-tauren find us indistinguishable from... a certain four-legged farm creature.

Rikqiz the leatherworker keeps one of these creatures here in Booty Bay, and Narkk is my chief supplier for pirate hats. Get a replacement head and a hat, then return with both.
