Orgrimmar's fishing daily. The reward at the moment is the same as Northend's dailies, probably a placeholder or maybe they will keep the rewards the same and add a small fun stuff here and there

you only need to cut off 1 tail and you need to be standing relatively close to the golden stonefish when u use the tail

Ok....I thought I was doing something wrong, and apparently I was. The drowned Thunder Lizards....you actually need to use the knife given to you rather than clicky clicky on the lizards (which you are also able to do for no quest benefit that I could see). And as mcthane stated above, you only need one tail. Using the tail performs an AoE on the Golden Stonefish which allows you to loot them.

Currently (patch 4.0.3a) the quest items remain in your bag. I've just deleted mine. Hopefully there are no repercussions. hehe

use the quest item on one of the dead kodos under wather, to blow it up, and after that go close to an fish and use the item that got from the kodo, and loot fish, do you 3 times and your all done ;)

Just sink into the water at Thunder Ridge, find dead Drowned Thunder Lizard at the bottom, use quest item Razgar's Fillet Knife, you'll recieve Drowned Thunder Lizard Tail, use it three times very close to the Golden Stonefish and loot them.

You can find both Drowned Thunder Lizard and Golden Stonefish in Durotar, south of Orgrimmar (map).

FYI, the Drowned Thunder Lizard Tail doesn't disappear after turning in the quest. Check out the comments on the item's page for some neat usage ideas :)

This is one of the few things you can do with Hook of the Master Angler which does not pop you out of your form. Also, when you use Razgar's Fillet Knife it will show your fish form holding a weapon.

Blizzard fixed it. Now the tail disapears when you complete the quest... And if you leave the quest as well.

The best option for those who have it, it's to not accept that daily again, so they can the other dailys witout loosing the item.

Try dismissing your pet if this quest doesn't seem to work... At least it didn't for me with my Mini Jouster. Worked fine after I dismissed him. As stated above: Get one tail. Swim close to Golden Stonefish and loot. I wasn't able to loot for some reason until I dismissed the Mini Jouster.

FYI ... don't do Thunder Down Under before the Golden Stonefish quest ... the Kodo's will disappear. this happened to me and I had to abandon the Thunder quest from Gor the Enforcer

A great, exploit if you will, is when you are level 10, you can accept this quest. The goldenfish are roughly anywhere from level 10-15. I found that you can use the tail unlimited amount of times on the fish. The catch is that these fish, when you blow them up, grant you experience. I went from level 12 (When I first accepted it) to level 15 within the matter of minutes. Enjoy :) Blizzard will most likely fix it soon.

A Golden Opportunity

Use Razgar's Fillet Knife to cut off a Drowned Thunder lizard Tail in Thunder Ridge, south of Orgrimmar. Once you have the tail, use it near a Golden Stonefish to kill it. Return to Razgar in the Valley of Honor once you are done.

Description

You heard of the golden stonefish, <name>? The thing with these fish is that they can't be caught by normal means. They have jaws so strong that they snap right through any hooks or lures you try to use on 'em.

You can find a number of them in Thunder Ridge, south of Orgrimmar. That ridge used to be full of thunder lizards, but they all drowned in the flood.

Take my knife, swim down there and cut off their tails. You should be able to use the tail to zap any stonefish you find.
