The quest name is a reference to the sitcom "I Love Lucy" in which Lucy would often cause some sort of problem and when her husband, Ricky, found out about it he would recite his catchphrase, "Lucy, you got some splainin to do!"'

One of a multitude of Cataclysm quests featuring minor characters that Blizzard decided to spice up with some nice voice acting.

All I can say about the fate of the ogre who gets interrogated is... Ouch.

*SM hauls MtH over one of the propellers with the gryphon, Stormbeak*
SM: All right, sunshine. Time to spill your guts before I spell 'em for ya!
MtH: Wait! You can't do this! You people must have a code of honor or something!
SM: I'm a daughter of the Wildhammer Clan and a shaman of the Earthen Ring. My code compels me to honor my ancestors and the elements.
SM: Doesn't say a damn thing about dog-ugly ogres.
MtH: Stop it, you tiny, angry woman! I'll tell you everything! What do you want to know?
SM: You can start by telling us where the World Pillar fragment is. My gryphon's starting to look a bit tired hauling you around.
MtH: It was delivered to the forgemaster at Deathwing's Fall. I swear... that's all I know!
MtH: Happy now? Pull me up, you vicious little dwarf!
SM: You were never in any danger, sweetheart. My friends down below would've caught you. You're worth too much to us alive!
*Several elementals appears around the propeller*
MtH: What? What have you done? No! Do you have idea what the Twilight Council will do to me when they find out I've talked! I would sooner die!
*MtH kills the elementals and suicides into the propeller*
SM: Interesting. I'd never heard of the Twilight Council until now.

The problem with this quest is that it propagates the incorrect assumption that people tell you their secrets when tortured. People will tell you what you want to know, but they will not tell you what they don't want to tell you.

For example, if the victim was indeed more scared of telling his secrets to the twilight council than of dying, then it is obvious that the victim in real circumstances would not disclose the truth, but instead something that the torturer wanted to hear.

I just did this quest myself. After gaining credit for completion, Mylra proceeded to fly back to the airship. However, just before landing, she decided that I was also too heavy and dropped me to my doom. I didn't do anything, just simply sat and ejoyed the view when I suddenly fell.
I came on here to see if anyone else experienced the same thing, but apparently not.

Guess I ate too many pies over Christmas.

The easiest way to do this is before you go to mount the Griffin up at the top
just go into your Flight Form then you are safe if it doesn't mount right

The first time I tried this I did this just in my regular form and nearly fell to my
death I quickly hit my key to go into my flight form and went back to the ship
again and the 2nd time I went into my flight form and then clicked on the Griffin
to get on it and it worked.

This quest was very painful for me... for some reason a second copy of the questgiver, gryphon and ogre spawned right after mine did (there were no other players, it must have just been a bug). Thus I had to listen to the dialog twice, with a .5 second or so delay inbetween the two. My poor ears D:

Thank you, angry little woman, for dropping me to my death >.< To boot, dropped me smack in the middle of a bunch of mobs, so ankhing didn't really help.

I was extremely surprised at the huge blood splatter at the end. That's something I expect from Diablo, but it just seems way too gory for a game where explosions simply cause people to fly away or fall down and corpses are always bloodless. Has Blizzard actually done any animation with blood before in this game outside of dungeon decorations?

I just did this quest on my latest alt in the 4.1 post patch world, and in reference to Trich's post above mine, I don't know if it bugged out on me or has been changed. It faded out close to the end of the quest with no gorefest finale.

The entire ship line has been a bit buggy since the patch; line of sight issues in the interior of the ship are frequent even though the only thing between my character and the mob is a a very low piece of floor.

Well I guess the gryphon was tired after all. Both to the ogre and us players (referring to the glitch).

I cant complain. All the flight paths I have taken since classic, and had no mount or was too lazy to run there (or even fly there now-a-days I still take FPs from time to time to get something to eat. I think I can let one death slide on behalf of the gryphons reputation.

Today ( may 20th 2012) I was levelling an Alt and did the quest of the interrogation.
The final part where the guy is dropped in the engine and "splatted" (?) is removed.
Instead, some air elementals spawn and "zap" him away.

His last quote:

Mor'norokk the Hateful yells: You! Let me go now! Wait... no! Don't let go!

is away.

perhaps Blizzard removed it because it was too mean, which IMHO agree.

This quest used to be titled "Some Splaining to Do".

Some people may have considered it insulting to native Spanish speakers, so the name was changed. This happened at the same time several other "insensitive" quest names were changed. A pity, really -- in an attempt to be culturally sensitive, they end up committing cultural erasure.
