This is actually intended. We want there to be more trickle down items from raids and part of that decision was to give each boss one item that is BoE. It helps add excitement to raids and well as provide raiding guilds another way to help pay for the cost of raiding.

This is one of, if not the best, Feral Druid DPS rings currently in the game.

It's the best one for Rogues and Hunters, too.

Heavy competition for this one, especially because it's Bind on Equip, too.

Hit and Expertise aside, these 2 rings in each of your slots: Ruthlessness and Surge Needle Ring offer the best raw power atm according to Elitistsjerks and Maxdps.com for a Retribution Paladin, Warrior and Death Knight.

Edit: Now that Ulduar has been launched, new strength-based rings have been introduced so this combi is somewhat obsolete, still they are a lethal combo if you get the hands on them anyway.
They will certainly give you that little extra someting in Ulduar before you obtain the new strength rings:
Power Enhancing Loop - Ulduar normal from XT-002 Deconstructor
Crazed Construct Ring - Ulduar heroic from XT-002 Deconstructor
Bladebearer's Signet Ulduar heroic from trash
Sif's Promise - Ulduar heroic from Thorim
Strength of the Automaton - Ulduar heroic from Flame Leviathan

Considering its buyout price (10k on our server) and the fact that it is going to be replaced pretty soon in ulduar most people prefer to sell it.
And successfull pugs aren't rare anymore, perhaps not one-shot but in 2-3 tries most decent groups get the kill (I pug both 10 and 25 man on both my characters every week).

This is close, if not, best in slot for a hunter I think, even if it isn't, it's pretty damn nice.
The +Hit would be helpful if you still needed hit.

Ok question. Why when I go to the eye of eternity page and look at the normal drops it does not show on the loot table?

Very nice for almost any DPS specced raiders. This is also very good for a DK, i play a hunter and passed on this for a DK due to his only blue item being a ring. Case in point, this is good for ANY dps raider (minus doomkins and ele shammies).

Deep in Cataclysm now and this ring still drops from EoE and it is still BoE. Ofcourse it has gotten redundant with the new Cataclysm rings but there are serveral players still going for Achieves in Wotlk which requires them to have items below a certain item level: Herald of the Titans
This ring might still be usefull for these players as it is BoE and they dont have to wait for a better ring to drop.

i got this ring on first time i ran EoE on my main, debated for awhile or not to sell it or use it, no one wanted to buy it for 2k so i used the damn thing, its good , but over-all i dont give a @#$%.

This ring will also drop from Ingvar in Utgarde Keep (Titan Rune difficulty) in WOTLK Classic Ulduar patch.
