I personally feel this item doesn't give enough mana for its level. Most mana users (mages/priests/warlocks especially) have 4k+ mana by lvl 46/47 and this only gives half of that amount.

For Horde players doing the DMF alchemy quest. Save yourself some time and buy 5 of these from either Innkeeper Pala or Kuruk in Thunder Bluff before going to DMF since no one there or any mounts sell this item.
