Ringo is found in a small cave on the mountain in the center of Un'Goro Crater. Check pinktoque's comment on Ringo's page (Click Ringo's name in the "Quick Facts" area.) for coordinates.

This is an easy quest. You have to escort Ringo back to Spraggle Frock at Marshal's Refuge within the time limit. Along the way, Ringo will faint, requiring you to use the canteen to revive him. Even with these delays, you still have more then enough time to get to Marshal's Refuge.

Just so you know, the canteen has a cooldown (Around 45 seconds) before it can be used again. If he faints before the cooldown is up, don't panic and just wait for the cooldown to finish.

I like all the references blizzard put in here. There's so many to count.

If you happen to fail...you can't just run back to ringo..that doesn't do anything! And i just ran back to spraggle frock and i can't start the quest over...any suggestions of what to do if you fail??

this quest is annoying. Ringo keeps dieing and you have to revive him with the canteen. But im a 51 hunter and the helmet he gives you is nice and i saw what the pants look like, they look awsome. Definently do this quest if you want good exp and nice rewards

let s see. first go to 51,50 and speak with the corpse then accept the quest and go back to marshall's refuge.. this quest is boring and annoying i think---- ringo will come with u and sometimes he wil lsays : URRRGHHTT or u maybe carry me .... etc... so u get a water in your backpack given by ringo and click this and u will resurrect the little goblin... the do it until the refuge.. ringo died 10-15 times in my way so don1t be afraid....

Just did this with a level 53 Warrior real easy quest. You can avoid all the mods on your way back, but I found it easier to just fight them and make a clear straight shot to Spraggle Frock for Ringo. Anyways, I did run into a little snag when I was coming out of the cave I was attacked by 3 mobs all level 54+. I'm sure they are just ones the rome around there, but I died really fast because Ringo fainted and I couldn't revive him to leave. So moral to this story is you can die and Ringo will stay right were you left him waiting for water :D. So you can res and then continue on your way, pretty cool. Also, I only revived him about 5 times.

It helps to keep Ringo targeted. Just before he faints, he'll drop as your target, giving you a heads up that he's about to pass out. Also read your general chat box as he'll give you a clue that he's feeling light headed.

Rogues: Use STEALTH. Ringo will follow you while you are in stealth. I didn't have any mobs attack Ringo, but I used DISTRACT as well just in case.

This is one of the EASIEST quests to complete.

- Remember, if I faint again, the water that Spraggle gave you will revive me.

Sometimes, when he will fall to the ground he says one of phrases:
- The heat... I can't take it...
- Maybe... you could carry me?
- Uuuuuuggggghhhhh....
- I'm not feeling so well...

When he standing up, he can say one of the following:
- Where... Where am I?
- I am feeling a little better now, thank you.
- Yes, I must go on.
- How am I feeling? Quite soaked, thank you.

I just did the quest and got attacked by allys just outside Marshalls Refuge. And the quest failed... So, im not sure you can continue the quest after you've died. Atleast I couldn't :/ (but apperantly Beerster could :S )

So if you're on a pvp-server, watch out!

I walked with him to the exit of his cave, then he fainted. I revived him, then he fainted again in the same spot. I revived him again but he wasnt following me. He fainted again then i revived him, but he still wasnt following e so i abandoned this damn quest, its a waste of time, he was just sitting there doing nothing, while i was trying to get him outta there. Did anyone encounter this problem?

This quest is very simple. He is at (52,51) which is the cave to the South East on Fire Plume Ridge. On your map, you can see the two caves.
Keep the cantine handy because along the way he will constantly faint in which case you will need to use it. When he faints he will say things like "carry me" and that "he wont make it".
When you wake him, he will respond with "where am i" or "I feel better now"
When you first leave the cave, head east and jump down the ledge. this will help you to avoid the fire elementals. Head for Marshal's Refuge and watch out for the large dinosaurs that patrol the area.
He runs through the Tar pits so be on your guard. When you arrive, take him to Spraggle Frock in front of a large tree on your left. they will talk for a few and he may pass out again so stay by him.

Wow! The NPC AI on this quest is just garbage. I got about 15 feet ahead of him because of Feral Swiftness talent, right as we're coming into Marshall's Refuge and fail the quest. You'd think any idiot could find thier way from there? But noooo. -.-

My quest failed - My new computer has been acting funny lately, slowing down and speeding up and slowing down. It wasn't doing anything strange when I accepted this quest but it froze suddenly. I had to shut down and reboot. He was passed out and I thru the water on him and led him home. He had the conversation with the girl gnome but a question mark never appeared above her head. So if you have to log out during this quest, abandon it and start over. Even if you lead him home the quest will fail.

As a 54 level prot-paladin, I was able to do this quest without fighting against a single mob while leading Ringo to Marshal's Refuge. So this is much easier than most of escort quests, as this has no ambush and you can pick route of your liking.

Only problem I can think of is the fact that in PvP servers, hostile players can ruin your escort, but same goes for most of escort quests.

I think this quest is bugged. A player I was grouped with and I both froze as soon as we accepted the quest, and I couldn't un-freeze my character until the quest as marked as failed.

To the people having this quest freeze their client:

For some people QuestHelper (a very popular addon) will freeze your client any time you take a quest with a timer, this quest included. If you are using QuestHelper try disabling it and seeing if you can start the quest over.

Update: The newest versions of QuestHelper seem to fix this memory leak. The 3.0.x upgrade for it includes this fix.

I personly found this quest very easy. I did it at lvl 52 on my druid and only had to kill two monsters that took no time at all. However, it is annoying how you have to keep giving him water, sometimes he blends into the ground and i cant find him, so what i did is i kepy him click so when he falls to the ground i see bright green wording and can easily spot him! hope that helps!

This quest is extremely easy XP. Do not pass it up.

There are no spawning mobs to ambush you, and absolutely no surprises. He follows you at 120%+ speed (meaning you can mount up). I revived him a total of 5 times.

One of the easiest escort quests around, and most likely ranked for a higher level than anyone doing the quest.

If you find him hard to see in the grass put a raid target icon on him (skull for example). Left mouse click Ringo, Right click his portrait and select a raid target icon.

I've been trying to complete this quest for a couple of days now - contacted GM, was informed that they know about the problem of Ringo not respawning. Today when I attempted the quest it was fixed on the Oceanic server I'm on.

I screwed this up once, but the quest is actually easy as long as you pay attention to keeping him alive and keeping mobs off of him and yourself.

If you can't easily take on more than one mob here, bring a friend, otherwise you will have problems when he aggros a few at a time. Also, if you are on a PvP server, people *normally* leave you alone when they see an escort, but some people can be complete jerks and will kill you while you run him to the camp ;/

Edit: He is kind of hard to get to, but run up the main ramp to the top of the mountain/volcano/whatever you want to call it, and on the back side there is a little drop off to his cave. If you fail, or if someone has just done it, he takes maybe 10 minutes to re-spawn.

I've completed this twice now each time at level 52 (once Warlock, once Hunter) and it is really easy with a little thought.

30 minutes (the time you get to escort) is ages so simply take your time and take a long route around all the mobs.

Even if you aggro one mob it is still easy because they're all 50-52ish after you've left the 54 elementals behind.

Finally, you get Spraggles Canteen in your backpack after the quest. Ditch it, it's useless.

I solo'ed this as 51 priest, shadow spec. I only encountered 1 mob the entire escort, and it was my choice to fight it. It was a lvl 51 tar mob, he was standing in the wrong spot... too bad

Move the canteen to an action bar.. He will faint, you will need to revive ringo every few minutes with it.

Just kill the fire mobs first b4 u start the quest. The path you want is to the right of the cave...if you are facing the cave...then follow the path to the bridge on the north side..

Now heal/mana up and start the quest by clicking on him.

You get 25 minutes to get him back to the refuge. Take your time. I did it in 5 minutes.

- Clear a path up the mountain
- Talk to Ringo
- Accept the escort quest
- Put the Spraggle's Canteen on a button / key for quick access
- Run towards Marshall's refuge
- Watch the chat, when he starts saying "can't take the heat.." run back and use the canteen
- Keep moving and you'll do fine

Solo'ed this a lv 52 warlock :)

I did it in 9 minutes and I didn't even fight one mob. I was so lucky. I'm a human level 54 warlock. First, a Tauren warrior cleared the road down the mountain for me and then even said farewell. Then a Tyranosaurus almost attacks me but a gnome came in between and aggroed him, and ran away taking dino with him. And eventually I reached the refuge avoiding the rest of the mobs. Easy.

Man as I was so close to the refuge, he fainted again but this time I couldnt spot his body to revive him. It was all plants around and I couldnt see where he was.

It failed but when I wanted to do the quest (which in essence is very easy at 54) i can t get it anymore :( dont have the canteen either

After running around the mountain and running into Blazerunner about 5 times, I thought I might give some directions to some other that might be coming across the same problems. =)

To find Ringo the path to his cave starts at 52, 56 (which is a little above the U in "Fire Plume Ridge" on the map). His is the right cave if you're looking at your map. Go around the pool of lava and continue up that path (it looks steep, but completely scalable). Take a right... you'll see his cave to the left.

When I tried to do it, I handed in the quest to Ringo and went to start the escort to find that the canteen was not in my inventory. Then I abandoned so I could get the quest again from Sprazzle or whatever but he won't give it now. Anyone know how I can get the quest back?

Canteen disappeared from my inventory when I found Ringo and completed the "lost" quest, but when I accepted escort quest it reappeared in my inventory. Not sure if that is the design or a bug again, but don't freak if it happens, just accept the escort quest...when you're ready.

Lvl 50 Shadow Priest, soloed it in 8 minutes. only ran into 1 Tar Lurker. Quest gives 5650 xp, if u don't need any of the quest items, sell the Plate Leggings, they go for ~2g at vendor.

Cake. Solo'd as a 52 Hunter. Three Elementals coming off the mountain, one Tar Lord that got in my way. Took me about 10 minutes, and that's only because the little dude fainted what seems to be every other minute.

This was a realy easy quest just make sure and bring his water bottle with you and youll have to use it a lot and just follow your map and its easy money.

Man.. Ringo sure is annoying, falling down every minute or so. He actually got stuck inside a tree when he died ontop of a root once. I picked a fight with a mob, and presto, he was out again. But man, sure is annoying. :) Soloed it easy as a lvl50, dont worry about him aggroing anything, he's lvl54.

The canteen has a duration, so after a while it will just dissapear.

Quest bugged for me. As soon as I accepted it, WoW stopped responding. I could still log into other characters though, but just not with my Paladin who accepted the quest. It took a GM to move him to IF, which didn't work, and then the GM using an "Ancient Dwarven Secret" which finally corrected it. Quest may be bugged at the moment, so pick it up with caution.

Did this as a 54 rogue. its pretty easy, didnt have problems with mobs at all. just make sure you stay as far away from the lvl 55 elementals, and when ringo faints dont forget to revive him! Good Luck

Tried this quest last night as a 58 Priest. As Soon as I accept the quest WoW locks up. I have to completly shut down. Then I have to wait till the quest fails to get my character back to get my priest out of the cave. AArrgh

This quest bugged for me too. Level 57 rogue. My pc kept locking up everytime I revived Ringo the first time, then when I finally got him back to Spraggle, he fainted again, she said don't worry I'll take care of you, and then he disappeared! I waited for the timer to run out to see if I would get credit for it, and then it said quest failed. DEF bug here somewhere.

I opened a ticket on this as I got the same problems with getting the dialog from Spraggle and Ringo disappearing without the quest completing. The GM confirmed that it was a known issue and developers were "working on it"

They also said that I should just try doing it again because "it works sometimes" - and sure enough, I'm standing there at Spraggle talking to the GM and some other dude comes up and completes the bloody quest!

a tip, get a high level mate who hasnt done this quest to do it while you wait at the entrance to the camp, they wont have to many probs getting him back and you can accept the quests as he is coming in, just did this to a few randoms as they were just finishing the quest, we both completed the quest so noone lost out and i got 9k xp for walking 20 yards...

in the 30 min time limit it only took me 13 mins and i only had to revive ringo 3 times...it was easy...the canteen is useliss..but you get to keep it for the last couple o mins :D

At the same time I was also doing the Volcanic Activity quest, so the fire elementals were nicely cleared out when I went to revive Ringo. He follows you like a pet, so it was very easy to lead him back to Marshall's Refuge. There wasn't a single aggro, so the only real challenge to this is to not lose sight of Ringo when he faints because he becomes almost invisible lying in the green foliage of the crater floor. I kept the target lock on him at all times and watched the chat log. As soon as he says "uggh" turn and make sure you see where he drops because you'll even lose the target lock when he does. I had to revive him about 5-6 times, but a very easy quest.

I got ganked by a shaman at the entrance to the refuge, and probably again wile I'm typing this. I spent 15 mins looking for the little bastard's body and I couldn't find it to revive it. It's nowhere around where I died. Moral of the story is: don't die while you do this.

Just walked nearly directly back toward the camp. Just went around to mine and avoid beasts.

Took me 2 ties tough cause he faint and I didn't notice and just kept walking and I couldn't find him afterwards so I just restarted.

The quest person you turn it in to, is behind and to the left when your facing the dinosaur thing that all packed up...believe me it took me a while to find him for me for some reason

Yay! This has to be the best escort quest! Unlike any others that I've done, YOU get to make the path! So if you run strategically, you don't have to have any confrontations with any beasts on your way across the crater.
Watch your general chat for when he's about to pass out though. If he faints and you get too far away, you'll fail and have to start over. (This happened to me just as I was running up the hill to the destination, and the little dude blacked-out without me realising and I failed! *grumble grumble...*).

Tried doing this yesterday, Ringo refused to move, never 'fainted' and I used the canteen on him just in case, and after about 30 seconds he'd just vanish, couldn't get the quest complete, failed it a few times just letting the timer run out since he was no where to be found.

I've found navigating on FirePlume Ridge to be confusing and frustrating, especially when trying to use coordinates. So here is a hint to find this guy with no coordinates:

There is a way up from the east. So start by making sure to approach FirePlume Ridge from the east. To find the way look on your mini-map to see a wide "lava flow" path. Don't try to take the lava-flow path. Instead stand at the opening to it and look to your immediate left. Scamper up the rocky ridge. You shouldn't have too much trouble coming out on a plateau and seeing the entrance into a cave. Inside the cave is where you'll find Ringo.

Although I did this at level 60, as other posters mentioned below it is dead easy. All I had to kill was one fire elemental that I cleared before accepting the quest, and after that one of them slime things that I bumped into because it was hidden by a bush. You can choose your own path an just have to use the water from your inventory whenever Ringo faints.

The plate leggings are a nice tanking item with their +1% dodge.

i tried this yesterday for the first time,stared walking him was doing fantasticly no aggro what so ever then some level 49 druid keep pestering me to share the quest and by the time he finally grasped my several explanations that you have to do a quest first and it just wouldnt share no matter how many times i try, everything anywhere to be seen wanted a pop at me,ringo had passed out, blended into the surroundings like he'd been there years and i failed the quest.
will try again today but the moral is if someone is telling you "it wont share" there not just being an arse " IT WONT SHARE ! " get over it

I have just finished this quest as a Level 53 warrior.

It took me two attempts, as the first time Ringo ran into one of those ninja Devilsaurs (you know, the 50 feet tall dinosaurs that make less noise than an ant walking across a carpet). Anyway, as soon as the devilsaur attacked, I knew it was quest over, so abandoned.

Went back to the cave, picked him up again, and then no problems. An easy 5650XP and a nice set of legguards.

You can find Ringo in the Un'Goro Crater in the southeastern cave on Fire Plume Ridge. Enter the ridge from the SE side and work your way up. He is in a cave at 51,49. There are no mobs in the cave.

Ringo will follow you and keep up pretty well, although he falls down exhausted every so often. Just click on the water canteen and he will be revived. Not sure how much time you have to do this before you fail the quest. Just keep an eye on him and try to avoid any mobs, which is pretty easy.

You have 25 minutes to complete this quest, which is more than plenty. It took me about 7 minutes. Return him to Spraggle Frock at Marshal's Refuge at 43,8. He fainted one last time upon seeing his good friend Spraggle Frock, so I had to revive him one last time before being able to turn in the quest.

For being a level 55 quest this sure isn't hard. If you plan right you don't even have to fight.

However part of it is luck on if you have a fire elemental near the cave or not and all.

He will follow you, so you lead him around. Annoying when he faints, but only mildly annoying if your lucky.

Again he follows you, so just be slow (to keep up with him) and work on avoiding mobs and it isn't hard at all.

Unlike other escort quests, you can choose your own path of getting back to Marshal's.

I chose going around the volcanos (volcanoes?) to the right and straight north.

Pay attention to what Ringo says. If he says anything to the affect that he's dizzy or feeling sick, that means he's about to faint.

I was able to finish this with 12 minutes to spare.

Ringo's a decent fighter. Pay attention to where YOU'RE going (in other words, avoid enemies) and you should be fine.

Other than Ringo, "I never needed anybody's HELP in any way" :)

Yeah Blizzard is great at getting it right and
injecting things we loved as kids into the
game. Such as Fraggle Rock, Beatles, etc...
Another trivial fact for those to young to
remember- Land of the Lost TV show. The
whole Ungoro crater has many references to
that series. Even down to the name Marshal
which was the name of the lead character.

Irrelivent to the quest but thought some
people might find it interesting.

Very easy quest. Avoid all mobs, you should have maybe 2-3 fights. Keep your eyes open and don't let anything sneak up behind you. Wake him and run, I went around the tree near the entrance guarded by a 55lvl ooze. I am a 50lvl lock for this quest, nice 5k+ xp 8) Good luck.

Extremely easy. Didn't have to fight a thing.

Just bring him down the mountain on the East side (one mob in the way - but I killed him on the way up).

Just head North towards the "S" in Marshall's Refuge. There are barely any mobs between there - and most are neutral and don't attack. Then I headed West once I hit the Northern Mountain. Went around the big tree - and into the refuge. Very easy. No reason not to do it.

Did it with 19 minutes and 6 seconds to spare. Didn't even fight a thing. The 6 minutes was simply the time it takes to run back to MArshal's refuge without a mount :-D

This quest is very easy. I soloed it with a lvl 53 warrior, and my latency was in the 400's...meaning i didnt know Ringo fainted til about...2 or 3 minutes later when it said "ugh.." lol

Its really easy. Just try to avoid all of the creatures, then get him all the way up to marshals refuge. Its really not as bad as it looks, its actually quite fun :)

Yeah this must be bugged now cause he won't move. I revived him a few times and abandoned the quest to start over. Nothing just stands there.

just did the quest. got to Spraggle Rock @ Marshal's Refuge and when I clicked on her, the quest failed with 14 minutes still left on the clock and Ringo right next to me.

there is a duration for the water remember.

if u fail. drop the quest and go back to cave to get ringo again.

just tried it twice... both times when i got 20 feet from cashing in... he faints... the water in my inventory disappears and i can no longer revive him and then timer runs out and i fail...

you have to walk all the way up to the base of the cave for the quest to complete, not just up to Spraggle Frock. be careful when you are walking with him behind you, when he faints, he falls down and blends in with the tall grass and its hard to find him. did this just fine-- no probs at all as a lvl 50 priest.

This can't be repeated enough; this is not one of "those" escort quests where you get ambushed three times by four mobs each time with no time to eat and drink in between. The ones that are supposedly 'soloable'. Ringo follows you like a pet, and has a footspeed in excess of base PC run speed (though less than shaman/druid 40% travel form). He's not prone to aggroing on the wildlife. If you keep an eye on him so that you can revive him if he passes out, this is a very very easy quest and the rewards, both in terms of items and XP, are substantial. ***** rated quest.

After failing this the first time - i got killed by elemental - I managed to get Ringo right to the base of Marshall's refuge - he had fainted about 5 or 6 times and I was able to revive him each time, only lost him once, but at the base of the trail he fainted and when i opened my pack to revive him the bottle was GONE! Still had 13 mins left on timer but it was no use without being able to revive Ringo. I will try this quest one more time........

Ringo fainted three times while i ran him back to Marshal's Refuge. only caught one mob on my trip, which aggroed my pet (hunter) but not Ringo, so i just kept running. easy peasy.

Ran into another bug in this quest just today, at the very end:
When he gets within range of Spraggle, she says "Ringo, you're okay!", and then he says "Oh, I'm feeling faint", and faints.
Turns out, since he's fainted, you can use the canteen on him to revive him at this point. But if you do so, and Spraggle has not yet said "I'll take care of you," you don't get credit for the quest and you will have to abandon it, go back to the volcano, and start all over again.

For new characters: you need to do few quests first:
start at 55 63 with
"Finding the Source" ->
"Speak With Spraggle" ->
"Lost!" -> find a small bag in front of a cave - when you "complete" the Q - look inside the cave for Ringo: he'll offer you a quest:
"A Little Help From My Friends" - get Ringo back to the camp at 55 63. Quest reward is Jeweled Legguards, NOT BeJeweled Legguards

I was exploring this area, when all of a sudden, the heat just became unbearable. I must be suffering from heat exhaustion.

Please, help me get back to my friend Spraggle at Marshal's Refuge. I think I'm well enough to follow you there.

I am feeling a little out of it, so if I do happen to faint again, just splash some water on me from Spraggle's canteen. That should work, I hope...
