The Overseer / Elite at the end was pretty hard to kill, had to get a few lucky stunlocks. Prisoner takes a LOT of damage from him. As a frost mage I polymorphed the non-elite add that came with then got double Deep Freezes using Cold Snap with Fingers of Frost proc from the Pet Nova. Even with a long stun time I was barely able to kill the elite before the prisoner died. Very tight.

Trying to find out how the quest was gonna work, I was attacked by a guard. I noticed an other player working on the quest, so I mounted and hovered over the prisoner waiting for the other player to get the quest done. Imagine my surprise when I got the quest finished after he did :)

Talk to the NPC at the spot, if someone else is not on the quest.

There are 3 waves of mobs, easy kills. At the last wave an elite will spawn, with standard leveling gear he should still be an easy kill :)

The Ramkahen prisoner keeps dying, no matter how much I heal him, it says invalid target, and if I dps the elite, it hits me for 10k each time and I die quickly. I feel like I must be doing it wrong, since no one else has had this problem... =(

I did this quest as frost mage
1. attacked elite mob with my elemental
2. pulled 1 mob my own and kill him from distance
3. pulled other mob and my elemental was still alive
4. killed elite guy with my elemental 2 waves of serpents was came. I killed them when they arrive
5. I returned quest from same guy I received without any problem

The prisoner died. He respawned right after I killed the elite and I clicked on him immediately and the quest registered as complete instead of restarting.

for those who don't have coords, do a search for Ramkahen Prisoner and it'll show u on a map where the prison camp is. but basically its near the coast on the WEST side of lost city

No one to turn quest into, make sure you click on the objective box!

If you have QuestGuru make sure you disable it otherwise you won't be able to complete the quest. Also the same goes for "Do the world a favor"

I salute those of you who managed to complete this one solo. My 83 feral (the usual blues & greens) struggled. The first time I killed all the guards, but the elite was just too much. I ran off and came back but of course the prisoner was dead. Second time I thought I might just heal the prisoner and see if he could handle the guards. It was a complete waste of time - healing effects on him are diminished somehow. Cute; another air kiss from the designers. The third time I killed all the guards and the elite killed the prisoner before I could kill him. The fourth time I killed all the guards and the elite killed me. Are we having fun yet? Clearly I'm doing something wrong but I just can't figure it out.

I, by mistake, abandoned this quest and I can not figure out how to get it back. This is one of the annoying things about this new auto quest giver / completion deal. Anyone know how to do this?

To complete this quest, go to the eastern side of the delta. At 71.3, 71.7, you'll see a complex consisting of a tall tower with a blue stone glowing in its walls, and in front of the tower a stone square with a raised wing in its center flanked by two smaller peaked buildings on either side.

The prisoner is located at the base of the tower - talk to him to start the quest. The guards will come in waves, with one guard and the elite everyone's been talking about at the end.

As a lvl 83 rogue, this is easier to solo since we can sap the guards. Stealth between waves and sap one of the guards each time so you are only fighting one at a time. This makes it much easier to keep the prisoner AND yourself alive. :)

This is my fourth character that has done this quest and I have never once had the ability to talk to the NPC. All my other toons I was able to participate in a kill after someone else started the event but without anyone else there, I'm not sure how to start it. I have no chat bubble, no cog and simply clicking the NPC does nothing.

Has no one else had such a bug?

I have no questing addons and disabling what ones I do have does nothing.

I'm a level 83 rogue and just soloed it. I got to the elite, got him down to 1/4 health, died, quickly whisped over there in a spirit, rezd and continued the same fight, easy as pie. :)

As an 83 rogue with standard leveling gear, I died the first time I took on the elite.

So I tried again...

Second Attempt:

First wave: I stealthed and let the mobs aggro on the prisoner, then ambushed and backstabbed them to death, pretty easy.

Second wave: Same as first wave.

Third wave: This is the Elite mob. I let him aggro on the prisoner and took out the normal guard. This is were it got weird. I kept pulling aggro and this guy hits really hard. I went down to 15% health pretty quickly and retreated down the stairs.. he just stood at the top and stared at me while the prisoner kept hitting him for damage.

Hmm!

So I bandaged and drank a potion. During this time, the Elite turned around and started on the prisoner again. I ran up and attacked again, but pulled agro. I retreated down the stairs to watch, and he did the same as before. Then he turned around and killed the prisoner.

Crap. But he didn't disappear. He turned around at the top of the stairs and just stood there. I decided to wait on a reset.

Within seconds, the prisoner respawned with full health and started hitting the Elite again... The Elite did not reset. I ran up and finished him off and it gave me credit for the quest.

Truly odd, but it worked.

For anyone having problems with this kill that can't find someone else to attack with, this might be a viable strategy.

took me 4 tries. as balance druid i brought out the treants on the elite and got lucky on the last try with some large crits, and starsurge instant twice. he never got on me no matter what i tried, so i just tried to take him down fast. It worked that time with the treants.

I didn't read the notes first. So when the elite showed up, I was surprised; I ran away and recovered. When I came back, he was still there waiting. Killed him.

I did this on my mage, and what a disaster. But after a few tries, I got it.

It appears to me that it doesn't matter if the prisoner dies (even multiple time). As long there is a live prisoner when the elite dies, you will get the quest completion.

so the prisoner kept dying... then all I had left was the boss... I walked away and the boss remained, the prisoner then re-spawned full health.. so all i had to deal with was the boss... I killed him and quest was done.

Prisoner died on me the first time, but the second time I tried it, I died. I waited to release spirit, and even though I was dead, it completed for me after the prisoner finished off the elite.

The prison is located at 71, 73. It's not up on the sand hills but rather down in the delta and built AGAINST the wall. I spent some time searching for the place upstairs haha.
