To "signal" Adarrah, swim back out of the cave and it will do it automatically near the cave entrance.

Then swim back in to complete the quest.

First part of quest "Smuggler's Hole Scouted" cannot be completed when mounted (bug or intentional). Dismount and enter the cave again.

The quest is confusing because quest objective on your map points you to the inside of the cave. But that's not where the entrance to the cave is. The entrance is south of that. More screenshots here to clear things up: Gimme Shelter Quest

In order to get you must complete before accepting.
and are NOT needed to take and followups, however that would make you unable to get.
Lady La-La's Necklace have 0% drop chance before done and 100% after, however anyone can share you this quest as long as you are 80+lvl.
Anyone can take and do it's followups as long as they are 80+lvl. Quests above are NOT needed for it.

Apparently the quest will bug out when in aquatic form as a druid. Make sure you're not shapeshifted when you go to do the quest.

Currently this doesn't seem to work while you are mounted in any manner, Aquatic Form for druids, or Sea Horsies for nondruids. Dismount up!

Quest is bugged... I went in & discovered the cave.. swam out & nothing happened. eventually I gave up, logged & then later in the day I was farming in Twilight highlands, pulled too many mobs & died & got credit for the quest...random. IDK

Is this quest bugged since 4.3? I've entered and exited the cave, but didn't get completion credit for either "Smuggler's Scar Scouted" or "Adarrah Signaled". I've tried abandoning the quest & re-doing it, hearthstoned, logged out and back in, but still no completion :(

Since 4.3, quest is bugged. After searching the cave, you must die in order to finish the quest. Swim outside and get the crabs or an eel to kill you.

Confirmed, as of 4.3 you must go inside the cave and if you don't get credit for scouting you must log off while inside the cave on land and log back on. Once your back you will have credit for scouting the cave. Then you must leave the cave and once outside you must die (suicide) and once your dead you will have credit for signaling the chick. Blizzard is aware of the issue and is working on it.

Another confirmation on suiciding outside of cave. It gives you credit for the signal. There are crabs around the outside area for easy suicide assistance.

As most people noted, the quest is bugged to hell and back, along with that I have checked so far. But suicide isn't on my list of choices to complete a quest, No sir.

I called a GM to set the flags for me, just as Call of Duty, and hope for the best.

In the meantime, before you get the Sea Legs buff, due to , where you can breath underwater as a result, Alliance players can "grind" Gnomeregan dungeon after a Hydrocane, if they can equip it. It may look a bit silly to equip such a low level item, but you can equip it just for enough time to recharge your breath bar and keep going. But anyway, the quest for breathing is a must do.

Update: I went with friends to Heroics in Northrend, try to kick Arthas in..(censored) and got wiped. At this moment, the quest flagged as completed, I came back to Vashj'r and got the quest delivered. The important thing is, you can die anywhere, inclusive in a 10-man raid, and still get the quest. As I said, plenty of opportunities to get killed, no need to terminate myself.

A PvP option seems appealing too.

Can confirm once you have scouted the cave and are trying to signal Adarrah, you have to let one of the mobs kill you before you are able to signal her. So just let one mobs kill you and the quest is completed.

Might be a bug that is frequent that requires you die, however i was not required to kill myself to signal her that the cave is safe.As soon as i left the cave it completed for me with no issuses.

Well the bug seems to have been fixed when I did it. I had to swim inside the cave to scout, then swim back outside to signal. Just so you know you need to approach the cave from the south west to see the entrance by some huge yellow plant things, I kept going east to west before I found it!
