The easiest thing to do, especially if the guarding mobs are orange to you, is to not fight them. Get around back, in the water, and pull Duncan from there. If you time it right, he's the only one you'll have to fight ^__^b

Managed to pull him with only one bloodsail mage, and since im a mage, I popped mana shield, and polymorphed the mage, and killed duncan. Easy as that. Im lvl 38

I killed him at lvl 37. The guys around him are lvl40 or so. I was lucky and got there when a bunch of horde were killing off the others. So I was able to stand on the dock and just pull Duncan.

If you just try to avoid the other bloodsails, and you go into the water right behind pretty boy. You see when the mages are the farthest away from Pretty boy and then you pull him into the water. Simple fight, no adds.

It should also be noted that "Pretty Boy" Duncan is the NPC you speak to in order to start quest chain that leads to the Blood Sail Buccaneer's Admiral's Hat.

Well i used https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=2545 but it was hard o find! I searched for a whole day!Then it was not fun!Fining him was the hard part but killing him was easy!

zzz rep grind.. starting with booty bay i had friendly neutral unfriendly hostile to hated.. easy enough... once i started going from hated .. as you continue to kill the booty bay guys rep with blood sail goes from hated to hostile to unfriendly.. neutral and now friendly easy.. took about 2 hrs and half.

If you have the quest that requires you to swab the deck for 2 minutes, you can pay Duncan to do it for you. It'll cost you 1 gold, more than worth it to humiliate him.

I specifically set out to kill Pretty Boy on "Pirates Day" on my way out of BB, only to find some worgen in his place >_> ....

Wouldn't be the first time I've found random worgens in random places at every corner of Azeroth, as if to say, "Really, they've been here all along. It has nothing to do with that Twilight movie. No really!...."

Anywho, apparently PB Duncan is on deployment and is now stationed aboard one of the three ships south of Booty Bay. His lil' rowboat crate gang leader has been replaced with "Good Boy" Bruce. Hope you enjoy thunderclapping him and his buddies away as much as I do.

He's now on the Riptide (the westernmost ship of the three), and re-spawns a minute and a half after death. Interestingly, if you kill him and Garr Salthoof, who's on the same deck, Garr's re-spawn timer is reduced. However Duncan's stays the same.

He's for an alliance quest of the altar of tides I believe it is. but he also gives 25 rep per kill instead of the 5 for the other bloodsails.

Just do it like ryjindal said and it's a piece of cake. I did it at lvl 38 without getting any aggro from the other pirates.

27,69 Leave out BB and head directly west, its a camp on the coastline.
This is the correct coords, there is a campfire and crates. If theres nothing there than wait for resapawn.

Just go west at the 'T' in the road directly out of Booty Bay

You just go out of booty bay, and the turn left. You will see him in the middel of a camp (27 69)
i done it with a lvl 40 warrior.

Best way to go is to swim out and around where the boat launches from BB to Ratchet...get on the other side of the bridge and come back in the direction of BB..you might have to kill 1 mob to get to him, but its an easy kill, did it at 38 with no problems

exit bb, turn left at exit, a small path. a mob at a campfire with duncan there also. i went around them keeping my distance, and entered the sea, and gently pulled him, without any mobs, and took him down. did this on my lvl 36 paladin

OMG - that was PERFECT - no adds - albiet I was 42 - still the swim is short and boom he was RIGHT there - first NPC I saw - follow his directions (unless someone raided and killed all- then you have to wait for rez)

I soloed this at 35 with the swim from Booty Bay Technique. I am a paladin and can heal and unless u can heal u should wait a little longer till like 36

At first I got too close and one of those mages started firing at me. Then my pet raced in and got surrounded. I Died. Next time I waited until pretty boy was alone in front, set my pet to passive, and shot at pb. He came to me and I got him easily.

Warning to fellow Holy priests. Pretty Boy Duncan has a 100% immunity to holy spells. Which left me with nothing but mind blast, shadow word pain and my wand to defeat him. It was a really long fight.

Like was said before, jump of the dock where the boat to rachet goes. Swim over and you can pull just him. He's lvl 39. Did this with no trouble as a lvl 35 shadow spec priest.

I did the swimming north trick and got lucky that some horde players were raiding the sailers and actualy cleared around the dude for me. I soloed him as a 35 rouge

Just did this quest, pretty simple, just head straight north from Booty Bay, then go a little bit to the east until you get to a small camp with a bunch of raiders and mages and stuff.
"Pretty Boy" will be there, no doubt. I pulled him and one other guy, but that's not an issue for a 39 Pally.

rofl i did it as a lvl 35 mage, and since hes orange to me i could swim out and get him in a single pull without having to take out the 40s who are red

The loot tables here don't have him listed as capable of dropping world drop rares, but he dropped a Speedsteel Rapier for me while collecting snuff September 10th, 2007

I'm lvl 43, I attack him near of the camp with several mobs near (5 or 6), I got only aggro of him and Bloodsail Mage. You can rush this npc do not need kill all pirates just him.

Pretty Boy is harder to get to as a priest (lvl 41) because he's surrounded by buccaneers who attack in pairs and are backed up by a mage. The best tactic is to hit one and run back towards Booty Bay, turn and fight a singleton. I used shadowform spells to start the fights, shadow protection, power word shield, inner fire, psychic scream, shadow word pain, mind flay, mind blast, then holy fire spell. Got killed 2 times, but finally got Pretty Boy and the knife.
