The hunt for the new Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds starts soon, I also expect a lot of angry people complaining about the RNGx3 from hell ...

I'm just throwing this out there, so people who are new to archaeology don't get their hopes up with unrealistic expectations:

4.1 "Players now have a much smaller chance of getting a dig site for a race for which they have completed all rare finds
* Wont help you at all unless you already have all dwarf or troll artifacts (very unlikely)
Don't go digging and expecting to get this shield, chances are that you wont see it until you have +500 fossil solves attempts, if you ever see it...
Chances are you might get the dwarf staff or the troll sword or the NE doll before the shield, why? because it's RNG, it is all about luck, not skill!

Except Druids. If you are an angry druid tank who wishes to file a complaint about lack of tank items, please see the nearest stablemaster. He (or she) should scratch you behind the ear and make everything okay again.

I was totally excited for this, as I had 200 Fossil fragments, and thought "Hey, I should get the pterodax hatchling easily enough, and then get way less Fossil finds, sweet!"
...
This shield is awesome! However, for those who don't want it, or want Something else more...it's basically just another way for us to continually see Fossil digsites pop up.

A Blizzard monologue:
"Hey, we hear you guys don't like having to go to digsites when you already finished all the artifacts. Okay, we can make it so you don't run into them as often. Nice, right?" *big smiles* "Oh by the way, we added a bunch of new rares, so have fun with that whole 'not seeing unwanted digsites' thing, alright?" *walks away laughing*

Any other Archaeologists feeling confused and/or secretly laughed at by Blizzard on this?

In all fairness at least a simple resolution update would've been nice.

I'm sure it's an old shell, and probably very aged, but nice textures and high resolution help deliver this feel, not kill it!

Compare this to the Elementium Earthguard and prepare to jaw drop. The difference in texture quality is just rediculous.

An excellent shield for a starting tank, though the lack of a gem slot is disappointing.

This finally popped for me at 119 solves. Always loved this shield and will definitely be using it for transmog.
