How is orca stew made with bear meat? bear meat must be imatation orca meat. I kinda like red fish is used as imatation crab meat... lol

Currently glitched. Odds are that it will be correctly implemented once Grand Master cooking goes live on the beta.

Regarding the recipe missing on Live servers:

I talked to a GM. He says it's working as intended now.

Now GMs can't tell you where to find an item, but he did confirm that the recipe is still in the game. He also confirmed that there are NO cooking recipes as quest rewards in Northrend at the moment.

So there are 2 possibilities here:
1 - They're now drops or rare daily cooking quest reward and we'll find them sooner or later.
2 - They are supposed to be quest rewards, something broke and they got removed from the quest rewards, but the recipes are still in the database, which is why he told me they are still in the game. Which would be a bug.

I hope it's #1 and that someone will find them eventually.

A heads-up from the profession/quest guys would have been nice if the change is intended.

The other cooking recipes affected are Fish Feast, Kungaloosh, Shoveltusk Soup and Succulent Orca Stew.

They are still part of The Northrend Gourmet achievement.

As of the release you cannot receive this recipe from the quest Succulent Orca Stew.

This recipe is not currently in game, it is still listed in the northrend gourmet section as 1 of 46 possible recipes needed for the achievement,

I opened a GM ticket about this and the other three missing recipes. I had to log before they got back to me, but the email I got later said "We are aware of the situation you reported, and we are currently working on a solution."

*adding this comment on all 4 pages, so's folk who don't necessarily look at all four see it

I do hope they put in this recipe because I thoroughly enjoyed the item for it's crit strike and stam improvement. Would level cooking to 350 just for this

Changes coming in patch 3.0.8:

Recipe: Shoveltusk Soup is disappearing.
Recipe: Succulent Orca Stew is disappearing.
Recipe: Fish Feast will be sold for 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards.
Recipe: Kungaloosh will be taught by a drunkard in the Dalaran Sewers.

The final tier of The Northrend Gourmet achievement is lowered to 44 from 45.

Even if removed, you can datamine this on live servers. Although it may not look like how it's shown up there...

This recipe is not given as a reward for doing the quest. Neither is Kungaloosh (sp?) or Shoveltusk Soup. Blizz won't give me an answer when I reported all of the bugs. So how can we get them?

This recipe and the Shoveltusk Soup one will be removed from the Northrend Gourmet Cooking achievement in the next patch. Both will no longer exist in the game. The Kungaloosh one will be available from some drunk in the Dalaran Sewers
