As a survival hunter with Glyph of the Explosive shot (6% crit). And this its a good trinket that almost guarantee that 1 of ur ticks will be a crit. as mentioned above this proc rate is horrible

As an SV Hunter you're actually going to get about a 100 dps increase using the Key to the Endless Chamber over this. They have the same proc rate, but the Key gives you a massive amount of agility instead, with a bunch of hit to cap you out if you've been smart and collected gear with the two secondary stats (other than hit) that benefit you most. The difference is going to be minimal however, and in reality you'll be just fine no matter which you use.

The main reason that I prefer the Key over this trinket is due to the fact that I like to stack my trinket procs w/ haste buffs and 1700 agility just stacks better than 1700 crit. 40% Haste through Rapid Fire + the Key is amazing, whereas 40% Haste + 1700 crit isnt quite as awesome.

The bottom line is this: If you actively stack your buffs & procs, then you'll likely get more out of the Key. However, if you dont tend to micro manage that much, then you're going to do better w/ the Grace. Your normal "static" dps will be a bit higher w/ Grace, whereas your "extreme" dps will be higher w/ the Key.

Proc is called Herald of Doom. Look for a red/orange and black emblem of a demonic figure when tracking the proc.

It procs from rogue's Sap ability (which might come in handy if used for PvP encounters)

Okay add a base of 10-15 seconds to activate the next proc. Take 15 sec that puts GotH @ 149 crit avg and KttEC @ 285 agil, you happy now? I'm not going into this any further since it is agreed that this trinket is broken until the ICD/ buff duration ratio is fixed. And even then, this base time to proc favors trinkets w/ longer ICDs.

Really no classes can get in ten hits in less than 1 second? I didn't know that, thank you so much for the very useful information. Here's some info for you: it is possible to correct someone's error without being an... elitist jerk? Ha!

I have ran a few tests with my trinkets today in order to see how they have changed with patch 4.0.6, and if they have changed at all.

DTJames (two posts up, excluding replies, from this one) reported that this trinket seems to proc more frequently now than pre-patch 4.0.6, and I was in a discussion with someone about this trinket, amongst other things.

First of all, this is in the point of view of a Feral Cat Druid, just so you are aware of that. I had no buffs, one trinket equipped at a time and only auto-attack going (including Fury Swipes).

The numbers below are time between each proc, with the first number being time since the start of the fight, and the reason there are separate lines under the trinket is that there were mistakes, so I ran out and started over after the ICD was off again. 20 procs.

- Presumed ICD: 100s/1m 40s
- Presumed proc chance: 10%
- Attack speed during tests: 0.94

This confirms that the ICD is still at 100s, but the proc chance seems to have been increased, which explains why poeple are experiencing more frequent procs.

Although the variation in the above numbers was big, I would guess that Grace of the Herald's exact proc chance is now 20%. The reason for this is simply because there are a very small amount of incidents where it procced right off the ICD, whereas most of the procs used several seconds to trigger.

Now, if I were to put this in context, this trinket would have a current value of (285 * 2.58653) + (1710(10 / (100 + (1 / 0.2)0.94))0.751905) = 859.9650185 for me. This is an increase of slightly more than 5 points from pre-buff. The reason for the low increase despite the proc chance being doubled is because the uptime can never reach 10%, only close in on it, and my previous uptime was 9.141% while it is now 9.551%. In other words, the trinket effect already procced quite close to the ICD coming off from before, so the change couldn't be anything else than minuscule.

For me, other 346 dungeon trinkets with stats appropriate for agility users all have a value of over 1000, with the exception of Skardyn's Grace, but even that has a value of almost 100 more than this one.

Keep in mind that a) the values listed in this post fits exclusively to my character due the gear combination I have, although the relation in value to the other trinkets would be approximately the same for all Feral Cat Druids, and b) this math assumes white attacks only; in reality the trinket effect will proc faster, but the uptime and value will remain roughly the same, though have an increase that is utmost slight.

TL;DR
- Grace of the Herald is still a very poor trinket as of patch 4.0.6, despite the proc chance being increased to 20%, up from 10% in said patch.
- Either the buff duration must be increased to 20s or the ICD must be decreased to 50s for this trinket to be viable at all.
