Bwemba, the female troll spirit that hovers over your shoulder while doing these quests, must be with you when you get to Mauti's lair. If you lost Bwemba like I did, log in and out to get her back.

Eyegor's coordinates are right on and if you do not have cood's then the den is just about 20 yards up the path of where you slay the cat in the first place. Don't go chasing the dot on your map that tells you it is here, because it is not anywhere near there.

If you abandon the quest, you can retake it. You need to fly back to where you found Mauti - behind the Kurzen compound and you'll find a patch of dirt with an exclamtion mark over it!

I hope this helps as I abandoned the quest in attempt to get the spirit lady back before checking here!

I can't seem to be able to complete it, I finished the quest bwemba gives you to find the other emisary, then she left and I can't seem to get her spirit back again. Relogged twice, exited the game, went back to SW to talk to bwemba, nothing seems to work.

I accidentally abandoned this quest, and now I'm not sure where to pick it back up. Nestingway doesn't have it, neither does Bwemba. Does anyone know where I can re-accept it?

Jesus. This has been really unhelpful. If you want to know where his lair is without getting confused: near that cave with the green patch next to it that you can see from the bottom-right corner. Go there.

There is no coordinate system in my wow interface that i can see. most help is someone that can look at the map and describe the map location. that will work for everyone. This is another bad wow quest that should be shamed lol

I followed the smoke flares but reached a point i couldnt see the next one. i just flew randomly around for awhile and find the cave area. In the north stranglethorn map there is a lake to the SE of the Mosh Ogre mound at the bottom of the map. It's triangle shaped. at the north end of that lake is the cave where the second kill of mauti takes place and you acquire the pet panther and a quest to go to grom gol

If you abandon quest you can get quest back at coordinates 64.64 - 22.01 in Kurzen's Compound. It is a pile of dirt with an exclamation point over it.

For those of you who are unable to turn it in through Bwemba
Just received a response from a GM:

If you have tried to abandon the quest and pick up again and that still has not solved the problem, zone out and back in and Bwemba will appear

The location shown on the map for this quest is the beginning of a trail of smoke clouds that lead to Mauti's actual location.

The coords are 77, 69. I have enclosed a screen shot. The location of the cave is in the lower right hand corner where the gray arrow is. Hope this helps :)

[Well, that explains why Mauti seemed smaller... The real Mauti has run off with Grent Direhammer, but being the wise hunter that he is, he has fired flares off so you can track him. Find Direhammer before it's too late!]
