Making Contact and meeting Vol'jin in Booty Bay - make sure you stay there until Vol'jin is completely done talking and you see the ? go yellow over Bwemba's head. A lot of people doing this quest can make it bug out a bit.

Anyone else who is, like me, hated with booty bay unable to complete this quest? Vol'jin is friendly but i can't stay still long enough to listen to the story, now he won't talk and the quest won't complete. Seems like pretty poor design to put him there.

I'm hated with Booty Bay. Turned in the quest and died before I could get the next one.
I just waited for someone else to talk to him and was close enough to hear and the quest completed its self.

After I saw the little bit about the bad supplies, nothing happened. I had to log out and in again for the NPCs to phase in to give this quest.

Am hated by BB Goblins.
After dying a few times, I ended up hovering just above the entrance to the inn above Baron Revilgaz where the Goblin guards inside couldn't 'see' me. From this vantage I was able to hear the conversation with Vol'jin as someone else completed the quest and this triggered my quest to complete as well.

Ok, this quest absolutely blows if you are hated in BB. I read the post about finishing the quest while on your flying mount to avoid the bruisers, but one of them kept coming out onto the Baron's perch and interrupting me.

Am looking into turning mats into the Bloodsail Traitor, if he still exists, to get myself back to neutral.

anyways, totally inconvenient!

edit: also lame that, as another poster mentioned, if you turn the quest in and die before the follow-up conversation is over, that you cannot restart it, and must wait for another player to start it. C'mon Blizz.

I finished the new quests in STV for Bwemba's Spirit, hoping that the area would phase back in so I could finish the twenty quests I'm missing in order to get Loremaster. Unfortunately the area did not phase back... is there anyway I will be able to finish the low level quests in STV to get Loremaster? If so, how do I do that? o.O

If you finished this quest but the script didn't start so that you can finish El espíritu de Bwemba, what probably happened was that you flew on to the platform and Bwemba failed to follow you properly. Even if you finished this quest, all you have to do to trigger the event is to present Bwemba to Vol'jin by hovering over, then floating straight down from above, or dismounting and walking through the building, up the stairs.

I got it to work twice this way (on two different toons). No need to abandon quests, leave Booty Bay and come back, or any other interesting and creative workaround. Just present Bwemba to Vol'jin and you will be able to finish the event.

When I got to Booty Bay and was talking with Vol'jin, some other player, for whatever strange reason, decided to kill Fleet Master Seahorn. I don't know if she saw Vol'jin or what, but I saw her appear, then turned back to Vol'jin, then looked back to see Seahorn dead and the player getting killed by one of the bruisers.

No reaction from anyone else, not Revilgaz, Vol'Jin or Bwemba; it's like they all knew he'd respawn in a moment and said "meh whatever".

Ok, I can't fly down and get the next part of this quest, I can't get close enough to try to get Bwemba to talk to Vol'jin, I keep getting shot out of the sky by the stupid bruisers and killed. Any help besides the little glitch mentioned above that may get me through this? Oh and also, can't run around and kill these pirates because I'm phased out >.> Ugh.

For the people saying this was the last quest of the chain, I'd like to comment:
I finished the quest, went to BB, finish the quest with the ghost following me.
I waited a little bit and got a ZG quest called "Booty Bay's Interests".

Incredibly annoying to not be able to continue without Booty Bay rep in the positive for one simple reason. Getting to this point is a bit of questing. To start grinding rep now means killing the bloodsail (fastest way)... holding onto the quest, however, keeps STV phased so all the pirates are gone... that means I have to abandon the entire chain now to grind rep so I can start the chain up again.

You can complete this quest even in the phased booty bay (during Bloodsail assault)

I found by going to SW and back to BB i was no longer in the phase of the quest. So was able to do the low level quests that i had not completed and the new low level that cata added. You just have to leave the zone and come back as long as you completed the quest with the spirit guide.
Hope this helps.
I hate Phase quest cause you can't help others on them if you already completed them.
