Three and a half bosses, actually. By the corpse of Maur Grimtotem is the half-boss Oggleflint the Ragefire Chieftain. All four are level 16 elites. Only two drop the Bind on Pickup (BoP) items, Jergosh and Taragaman. Oggleflint and Bazzalan only drop standard loot, but Bazzalan is a subject of the "Hidden Enemies" quest.

The tauren for the lost satchel is located on the east path when going down on the cave. It's guarded by troggs. Great droops especially Bazzalan, he drops a awesome sword.
Levels 12+ are recommended.

I did this at level 15 as a rogue. If you want to do Ragefire pretty quick, get a group of 1 warlock, 1 rogue, 1 warriors, 2 priests, or any other healers. We did Ragefire in about 30 minutes at 15

This instance is really easy, and is just something to learn players what an instance is, the very basics of it. No reason to go here for loot though, as most of are not that good.

If you are 30 or higher and just switched to enchanting, this is an excellent place to farm mats for the first 150ish levels.
Also useful for linen if you switch to tailoring or have an alt.

Horde can acces this instance very easily this instance is in "The Cleft of Shadow" in orgrimmar also, this instance drops a good level 13 sword this would be good for rogues i guess :)

We four-manned this at lvl 12-14. At the beginning we were 2x lvl 12 and 2x lvl 13, and all of us went up one lvl trough the instance.
With a prot warrior, resto shaman, balance druid and a fire mage (as far as specialization goes for lvl 12-14 ), this was easy as pie. And there were lots of drops, just brilliant for our lvl.
评论来自
Rooster
This instance got no blue drops becouse Alliance can't access it. And then you think(Horde): Wtf, they got Deadmines (Westfall), give me rare. Actually Deadmines is accessable by Horde and are the opposite for Wailing Caverns (The Barrens) that is accessable by the Alliance. Ragefire Chasm is just a little gear up/xp instance that's make the levling compared to Horde and Alliance a bit unfair.
Edit: This is information for newcomers to Wow.

As of Patch 2.3, all the BoP drops off bosses in here have been changed to blues, making it more worthwile to run this.

This is the first instance you should be playing in world of warcraft. the level range is 13-16, and has a fairly high drop rate for greens. there are no blue or epic drops. It is a great place to level your tailoring, enchanting, and first aid, as about 120 linen drop per run. This instance is also a very good place to farm gold, expecally for frost mages. my 60 frost mage can down the entire instance in 3 pulls, no problem. simple put on your ice shield, get about 100 enemies attension, turn around and blizzard them, and use AE until they are all dead. you can sell the green armor on the AH for about 50-75s and the weapons for over a gold. i can make 50g in an hour here.

The buff of patch 2.3 has made many of the blue items now dropping here worthwhile even at higher levels- bracers, cloaks, robes- all are viable even past level 20.
About the lava- last time I went here after 2.3 I was promised help by a level 29 paladin, but when he got in he said he had to do some IRL stuff. Next thing I know is seeing him run straight into the lava and dying...

It would be extremely hard to get in here as an Alliance, but I think I have a plan:
1. Strip down naked
2. Run through Org, dieing however many times necessary
3. Enter RFC
4. ????
5. Profit
It will take a long time, but once you enter the instance you don't have to worry about guards or Horde

To all alliance trying to get inside for those twink braces. This is not hard at all but it is VERY boring. Here is how it's gonna work:
First step:
Get yourself inside.
I did this on a level 8 Priest. It took 45minutes and 15 rez to get there. I am sorry to say that there s no easy way inside. Take a look at this video to see wich way you need to run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1tvmMk_U9s
Maybe a player on your realm got a charcter parked inside, but that is only if you are lucky. If you take a look at Spirit Healer's location you will see her very close to Ogrimmar. I think this Spirit Healer only works as a Horde. Beacause i had to start corpse running from Razor Hill. Can anyone please confirm this?
Second step:
Get a booster inside.
This is piece of cake really, just get on you mount and run! You will outrun the guards and the hordes will not be excpecting you. Like seen on the movie above.
Third step:
Get your enchant.

Be careful in the area around the Dead Tauren for the Lost Satchel quest, I was running a group through here earlier, and on the ledge, a Warlock managed to aggro THE ENTIRE REMAINING TROGG POPULATION.
We don't know how she did it, but literally, around 20 or so Troggs aggro'd from the pit below and swarmed over us.
It seems there's some kind of overlap or glitch near there, so watch yourselves.

make sure you have your freaking instance difficulty set to normal

It's real easy. It can get annoying in the 'crossroads' room a good way in where there are loads of enemies but you'll be ok. It's a great way for a group of level 8-15s to get a good start in WoW instances, as it shows you how challenging fighting almost all elites can be, it introduces the clear line between bosses and monsters, and it gives pretty fair drops. It's not especially fun, but it's short enough. Additionally, an orc just outside in the Cleft gives you
Slaying the Beast
, which is also achieved with the achievement for RFC.
The next logical instance a new player should take is the Wailing Caverns in the Barrens or Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest.

Just did this tonight as my Level 60 Prot Warrior (Human) with a Stormpike Battle Charger. It's really not too bad to get to. I had to do 4 corpse runs and all in all it took me 20 minutes, and 6 of those are because I sat as a ghost watching this 70 Troll Hunter who had ganked me at the door. He sat there watching for me to revive, so I read a book until he got fed up.
I got naked so didn't suffer any cost from repairs, and it was a lot of fun getting a look at Ogrimmar from the inside - I would recommend this to anyone.

This is a great place to grind, especially as a twinked warrior.
I was level 15 and used a
Bloodied Arcanite Reaper
and
Polished Spaulders of Valor
as well as a number of enchants, particularily
Lifestealing
on the axe. You spam Rend and Sunder Armor on the mobs and they die really fast, and sometimes the lifestealing
triple
procced and healed for nearly 100 life every few attacks. This takes a bit of set up, but it's really worth it to get past the first few tedious levels of a new toon.

Being a mage, I just ported back to IF....then saw that it had to be on normal, not heroic, to zone in.
Now I'm a sad mage.
Edit: also, you can't do it while your phased. 2x the sadness.

The Achievements tab on this page shows Loremaster for both Horde and Alliance, however the quests tab doesn't show any Alliance quests.
This, to me, would suggest there were no requirement to visit the instance to gain Loremaster Status as an Alliance player.
There is, however, a requirement (as mentioned above) to kill the final boss for the
Classic Dungeonmaster
achievement.

Solod as a level 20 Beast Mastery hunter, at least up till Taragaman. I had a cat, so anyone with a tenacity pet (turtle, bear, etc.) should have just as easy as a time. I was in somewhat high gear (a few higher-leveled quest rewards from Ghostlands, Tranquillen Champion Cloak, BoA shoulders and dual-wielding BoA weapons).
Keep Aspect of the Hawk on the whole time, unless you feel like you'll need to 1v1 an enemy without your pet, in which case you may want Monkey on. There are no places from the start to Taragaman (achievement boss) in which you must pull more than 2 mobs, excluding the room with worms/elementals a little way in.
Just make sure your pet keeps aggro the whole time, don't be afraid to Disengage (though be careful about falling into lava or, in my case, more enemies), and get ready to use CTRL-1 if an enemy starts attacking you. I'd install Omen to see where you stand threatwise, but every hunter would be smart to have Omen. Starting off fights with a Multi-Shot is good, and when you're fighting 2-3 mobs you should use multishot whenever it's available.
As for Taragaman, he was a pushover. Make sure all the guard pats are gone before engaging, put a Mark on him and send your pet to start the fight. Wait a couple of second, cast Mend Pet and Serpent Sting, then start bombarding him with auto-shots and arcane shots.
Total, I used one healing potion, died once, and didn't even bother using traps. Not very tough.

To get into Ragefire Chasm as an Alliance it's now a huge pain in the rear!
You ready for all this?
There are several quest chains you need to do. But once all this is finally all done, you can get into Orgrimmar with out much hassle.
I tried this just three days after patch 3.2 released so I had some issues.... Here are the quests you will need to do:
Step 1: The Lost Courier
Step 2: Of Traitors and Treason
Step 3: High Commander Halford Wyrmbane
Step 4: Naxxramas and the Fall of Wintergarde
Step 5: Flight of the Wintergarde Defender
Step 6: Return to the High Commander
Step 7: Rescue from Town Square
Step 8: Find Durkon!
Step 9: The Noble's Crypt
The Bleeding Ore
Not In Our Mine
Step 1: Secrets of the Scourge
Step 2: Mystery of the Tome
Step 3: Understanding the Language of Death
A Righteous Sermon
Step 1: Into Hostile Territory
Step 2: Steamtank Surprise
Step 3: Scattered To The Wind
Step 4: The Chain Gun And You
Step 5: Plunderbeard Must Be Found!
Step 6: Plunderbeard's Journal
Step 7: Chasing Icestorm: The 7th Legion Front
Step 8: Chasing Icestorm: Thel'zan's Phylactery
Step 9: Finality
Step 1: An End And A Beginning
The Kor'kron Vanguard!
Step 2: Audience With The Dragon Queen
To Fordragon Hold!
Step 3: Audience With The Dragon Queen
Step 4: Galakrond and the Scourge
Step 5: On Ruby Wings
Return To Angrathar
Reborn From The Ashes
Fate, Up Against Your Will
A Royal Coup
The Battle For The Undercity
You will be rewarded with Veteran of the Wrathgate achievement and a two minute cinematic!
After all this you can finally go into Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar (for Alliance) to try to get Classic Dungeonmaster Achievement.
When I tried this, shortly after patch release for Wrath of the Lich King 3.2 I was annoyed to find out (after I tried to get into Ragefire Chasm and failed miserably. Couldn't enter instance and got pwnd by guards and other horde players)
I couldn't do this easy low level dungeon with out doing this huge long quest chain first! Even after I did all this business with questing and running all over the place, I still had issues entering Ragefire Chasm.
The guards and other players didn't kill me, but I ended up having to relaod UI (I use Carbonite 3.21 add-on), then had to restart whole computer and then was finally able to enter instance...
Hope this helps and you have an easier time then I did! Happy hunting!

After you are done with the stuff in Dragonblight. Go to Durotar (Kalimdor) to find Orgrimmar city.
The best way I found in was from the Barrons (West side entrance into city). Once you run past the guards follow the path past the Valley of Spirits and make the first left you can. Follow ramp up and make a sharp right into The Cleft of Shadow. The instance is directly across the room. After I did Dragonblight quest chain, the normal horde NPC's didn't even notice me. I also did this very early in the morning so I didn't have to encounter any angry Horde players.
Once inside dungeon run south and around the U shape back up. Then head South East and kill Taragaman the Hungerer in the center for the four lava ponds.
Enjoy your Ragefire Chasm achievement and good luck getting Classic Dungeonmaster achievement!
~Ragefire Chasm~
Location: Orgrimmar (North of Durotar, Kalimdor)
Coords: 52, 49
Minimum Level: 8
Level Range: 12-18
Hope this helps! Happy hunting!

Very easy inside of course if you are that level. The hard part is getting inside. I basically stripped down to my pants and legged it through. Died three times and the nearest Alliance Spirit Healer is miles away so expect a long run back each time if your as unlucky as me.
Still…….. was quite funny looking and readiing some of the reactions of the Horde as I flexed my Usain Bolt running skills wearing nothing but my choicest pair of Y Fronts.
" UG Fug a lug tug THIS! "
I shouted while I brown trousered it away from the 4 persuing Grunts hot on my tail.

New players should be warned that because of the new Looking for Dungeon tool, it will be difficult to find a group that will be willing to run the entire dungeon with you.
The reason being is that because
Taragaman the Hungerer
is considered the "boss" of this instance, players who have selected the random dungeon option will simply leave after killing him since they will have already been rewarded the
Satchel of Helpful Goods
.
Best option would be to run with people you know or (dare I say it) have a level 80 player run you through the instance directly.

I just counted the number of mobs inside Ragefire Chasm located inside Orgrimmar that give rep with what ever factions tabard you are wearing. This can be done at any level above lvl 10 (I'm 80 and brought my son along who's toon is only lvl 19 and we both got rep).
There are a total of 81 rep giving mobs. (this does not count the blueberries that the warlocks have since they provide NO rep per kill. Killing the warlocks WILL however give rep) There are also 4 bosses inside. The regular mobs give +3 rep and the bosses give +60 rep. So you end up having +243 rep for mobs and another +240 rep for bosses. This run should take you about 5 minutes to do and if your waiting in the average Heroic Que, you should be able to knock out about 3-4 runs per wait period. That gets you 1932 rep while you wait for your heroic to que up.
This should not be your only source of getting rep however, it does help. Also, the 3 quests that are offered inside do count towards Loremaster, and give +500 rep per quest towards Orgrimmar but are only a one time quest.
Enjoy.

As of Cataclysm, RFC is soloable by a decently geared (but not heirloomed or twinked) level 20 Protection Paladin. If you combine Crusader Strike and Word of Glory enough, you should barely ever have to use another type of heal. There are a few things you should watch out for, though;
When doing bosses, kill the adds first.
Ragefire Shamans are your priority, as they can heal.
Watch out for Searing Blade Enforcers, as they can stun you.
Other than that, it is pretty simple. It should take you less than half an hour to kill all four bosses.

This reply is for both the high level who simply wants the achievement as well as for the lower level who wants to run the dungeon with a party (for the lower level player, there is specific info for you at the end of this message). Hopefully this will help those of the Alliance to find the dungeon without dying and give the lower level player info to help them through the dungeon.
If you are Alliance.
I just ran this dungeon last night with my level 85 arms warrior with a gear level of 312. I would not advise doing this with a toon that is much lower than level 80 due to the difficulty of getting
to
the dungeon. If you try it at a lower level and have average gear (not epic), at least use caution and get help from a few higher level players (like level 85). This city is three levels high. There are level 85 soldiers on the ground level and high level archers on the top two levels. It may seem like there are not many soldiers around, but the archers are hiding above you and they WILL get you! Orcs and Horde don't understand when Alliance just want to go in and complete the dungeon for the achievement and not kill anyone in the city, or they understand and just want to stop you regardless. I would advise not fighting your way to the dungeon. That would flag you as pvp and you will end up attracting more attention that you want. Really, the run is not as bad as it may seem
IF
you are prepared for it.
Orgrimmar has a back entrance, well actually it's more of a side entrance. The side entrance is on the left side of the city (if you are facing the city). I flew in and landed far enough away from the gate that I wouldn't attract any attention. I tried to land inside the city where I felt there weren't many soldiers and got shot off my bird. That's when I discovered the archers! So, I would advise just running in through the side gate. Get on your swift horse and be prepared to run as fast as you can. No hesitations so be careful you don't miss anything or get stuck on a pole or such with your horse. Lol!
Here's the route to the dungeon:
Run straight through the gate and down the path. When you come to the circle, take the left side and circle around. The path picks back up on the other side of the circle. Continue down the path and you will see that it goes through a tunnel of sorts. Go through the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel take a left and the entrance to the Cleft of Shadow is on your right almost immediately. It's easy to miss because it's just a slit in the rock, but don't miss it because by now you have an army of soldiers following you. Once you are in the cleft, follow the path around and you'll get to some buildings. If you look ahead a bit, you'll see the instance off a little bit to the right and further ahead. You'll have to weave to your left a bit then run down a ramp and curve to your right a bit. You should be able to see the instance clearly by now. Just run straight through it. The soldiers don't follow you, so you can stop and heal after you get inside.
Once inside the instance
, if you simply want a quick run for the achievement and you are level 80 or above, you can probably just run straight to the middle of the dungeon and get the final boss and be done with it. It's only a level 15 dungeon, so the mobs won't hurt you much. To find the final boss, pull up your map. When you pull it up it has a map of the dungeon (very nice btw Blizzard!). You see three marked bosses - one in the middle and two further on. Believe it or not, the one in the middle is the final boss and the only one you need to get to complete the dungeon. Personally, I'm a looter. I am not one of those rich 85 players and I can always use as many goods as I can get. There are a lot of green and blue items in there. Granted they are level 15 or so, but you can still sell them, and some you can give to lower level toons if you have any.
For the lower level players who want to clear the entire dungeon
:
1. Follow the map carefully once inside the instance.
2. There are doorways where it looks like there are none so they can be easy to miss.
3. There are dead ends that have quite a few mobs. Two of them can be found at the beginning of the dungeon, one off to each side through a dark entrance.
4. When pulling mobs, it's almost impossible to pull them one at a time. They usually come in twos and threes, and there is usually a caster of some sort that stands off and shoots spells at you (in addition to the other three) so plan accordingly. I usually just pulled out my gun and shot one of the mobs and the other two ran over to me.
5. For players who are doing this dungeon at the correct level or slightly above it, there are a lot of really good green and blue items to loot here, so I would advise clearing everything and being careful not to miss anything!
6. There are a lot of bridges crossing over lava, so again, be sure to use your map so you don't keep circling around. It is a pretty straight forward simple set up for a dungeon, so no worries.
7. The final boss, Taragaman the Hungerer, is all alone. I was quite surprised at this since you never seem to find the big boss all alone. The other two bosses have two mobs around them and a few more wandering around before them alone, but if you pull one you generally pull both.
Since I did this as a level 85, I really can't explain how the bosses fight. All it took was one hit form me and they were gone. So, sorry, no mechanics explanation here I'm afraid.
Hope this helps some of you! Have fun!

If you're Alliance and can fly:
1. Set dungeon to normal (do not have it on heroic).
2. Go to ~67.52.
3. Face west. You'll see a tunnel with bones sticking out of it. You're aiming for that.
4. Wait for the patrolling wind riders to finish their routes. DO NOT lower yourself down before that point; there are archers hiding and they WILL dismount you if you linger about too long. This can be bad because if your corpse gets stuck on one of the buildings you'll have to do a graveyard res.
5. When it's clear, fly down into the tunnel and DO NOT DISMOUNT. You can fly in there. Once through the tunnel make a sharp left and the entrance is right there.
This way you shouldn't attract any Horde attention and if you do, you'll be gone before they know you were ever there. Also you won't have to kill any mobs!
This is what I did so good luck fellow Alliance!

Well, myself (55 Hunter) and my friend (84 Hunter) decided we needed to do this dungeon in order to get our last Classic Dungeon achievements. We are Alliance, so we knew it would be difficult since I can not fly. My friend decided to fly over Orgrimmar and check out the PvPers and see what guards were where. After we decided to take the front entrance (contrary to everyone else's view), we stripped down and went running. I died a total of 16 times while he died a total of seven trying to get inside the dungeon. The death walk is boring, but being able to resurrect quite a bit further than where you died and the ability to run for a few seconds before you're fully resurrected helps.
With my experience, I must say: Alliance, if you want to do this achievement, get ready to have many death runs.

No longer any hassles doing this- as long as you can fly. EDIT: Would be wise NOT to fly your most noticable mount. Pick something small like a gryphon, not a mount that anyone without 100 miles would notice as being Alliance.
When you get to Orgrimmar City, hover high above and get yourself oriented. Be sure to be high enough to be out of range of the flying patrols etc. Once you see where you are, just hover over the area where the west side entrace to Cleft of Shadows is. Drop down enough to be sure, but stay up enough to not aggro flying patrols.
Once you see no one is noticing you, just swoop down into the Cleft and continue east and down to the right a bit. You will NOT be dismounted, and if you do aggro a patrol, you'll easily get to the instance and fly into it without taking any noticable damage. It took me no more than 15s to swoop down into the cleft and hit the instance entrance.
Horde would have to camp the actual entrance, and even then I doubt it matters. You momentum along would carry you in, and the instance entrance is tall enough that no totems are going to affect you as long as you are more than 1/2 way to the top of the instance entrance.

Soloed the entire instance, including all bosses, as a level 18/19 beast mastery hunter without heirlooms and mostly crap gear, including 2 white items and the rest greens from questing. It was really challenging, took over 1 hour to finish. My pet was a cat.
The trick to do this was to kite most mobs through the entire dungeon, from their starting location to the entrance of the dungeon and trying to keep
Mend Pet
up most of the time while there was only 2 mobs. I had to die many times due to no more kiting space when there was more than 2 mobs.
When I reached the part of the troggs, I let my pet attack 1 mob for the entire time while I kited the 2 other ones, always letting my pet focus and tank the
shaman
ones, so they couldn't heal the mobs I was kiting. I kept
Hunter's Mark
up on the mob I was focusing and always using
Concussive Shot
, and when the one I wasn't focusing reached melee range,
Wing Clipped
it and resumed kiting.
For
Oggleflint
, I had to die 1 time so I could get at least the shaman down. Then, when I went back to resume the fight, I let my pet tanking Oggleflint while I kited and killed the other one. By the time the
trogg
was dead, my pet was dead as well, so I had to kite Oggleflint to his death. Keeping Hunter's Mark,
Serpent's Sting
and Concussive Shot up all the time, I kited him back and forth from his starting location to the entrance of the dungeon. When I was close to the entrance, I let Serpent's Sting fall off so I could
Scatter Shot
him and turn the other way around, until he was dead. I proceeded killing the worms and elementals in my way until I reached the orc mobs.
I ALWAYS let my pet tanking the
enforcer
while I kited the
cultist
, so I wouldn't have to worry much about the stun from the enforcer and the damage from
Curse of Agony
was really low so I didn't care about it. When there was a
warlock
, I kited the cultist or enforcer while my pet was tanking the warlock so I wouldn't have to take all the damage from
Shadow Bolt
, which hits for about 34 damage and it was quite high compared to my health at the moment. Also always killing patrols alone and waiting for them to go away before I engaged a group of mobs.
For
Taragaman
, I first let my pet tank him using
Intimidation
, Mend pet and
Kill Command
until my pet was dead, then I proceeded kiting Taragaman through the entire instance, just like Oggleflint.
Doing the same kiting for the group of 3 orcs before Jergosh, I let my pet tank the enforcer while I focused the other enforcer and using Wing Clip on the cultist.
Now for
Jergosh
, it was hard, because I had to kite him and another orc while my pet was tanking the third orc. The difficulty here was that I had to kite both the boss and the orc, meaning that I would have to Concussive shot Jergosh and Wing Clip the orc because the boss hit me for over 120 damage, and I had 479 health. I had to die twice for both of the adds deaths, so I could do the same thing I did with Oggleflint, kiting him. The main problem was that Jergosh would sometimes cast
Immolate
, which could kill me even if he didn't touch me. I also had to pop a
Lesser Healing Potion
.
Bazzalan
was the same thing as Jergosh, except that it was easier. I let my pet tank both Bazzalan and one cultist at the same time, so I could kill the cultist I was focusing with ease. By the time my target was dead, my pet was dead too, so I Wing Clipped the orc and focused him while used Concussive Shot on Bazzalan whenever it was off cooldown, then proceeded kiting Bazzalan the same way I did with the others, but here I only kited him through his starting place to the start of the way to him, so I didn't have to waste too much time.
In the end, I got 2 levels, 1 from killing the mobs and the other 1 from the quests, plus 2 gold from just looting and vendoring, not including the items I could sell at the auction house. It was a pretty fun challenge, not something I would do again so soon. Hope this helps fellow hunter trying to solo this place as well.
EDIT: Fixed some spell names and added links.

OK, I'm stuck. L60 Dranei DK, I resurrect right in front of the instance (literally) and can't get in. I have maybe 1-2 seconds before the grunts guarding the instance kill me again. I try and move by using the forward key right when I click the resurrect button, but it's like I'm running up against a wall trying to move through the "fog". Is it because they target me the nanosecond I resurrect? What's the secret? Or should I just give up until I'm 80+?

Alliance: Having trouble or difficulty going through the Ragefire Chasm entrance even though you found the instance? Here is the troubleshooting solution:
Should you stand
too close
to the instance entrance, there's a fairly certain chance you
will not
be granted access within the dungeon. It may appear as though you are running in place or your mount is flying in place. When this happens, you are actually within safe distance to res there if you are about to die, and you can eat, drink, and buff without aggroing the nearby guards. When you are ready to run through the instance, take a
few steps back and run forward.
Use caution as there are two level 85 guards who stand there behind you. As long as you can stay alive approximately 3-5 seconds, you can run inside and the coast is clear. The "few steps back, then run forward" solution works like a charm! YES, it WORKS!
Set dungeon difficulty to normal,
not
heroic. Normal does count for achievement, so no worries. :)
No need to log out or log back in... no need to reset all your instances either. Just take a few steps back and run forward.
Good luck!

I just made it inside the instance easily as a lvl 85 Paladin. The trick is to make a horde toon if your not too sure where the entrance is. You'll be looking for a purple cave entrance that has claw like horn bones reaching out. Its right near where its marked "the dead" on the map. And alliance characters can fly in with their mounts as I just did. Hang a hard left as soon as you fly down the cave and come to an opening, you shouldn't even aggro any of the guards on the ground unless maybe your lower than 85 and you should enter the instance with ease even on your mount. I just ran in, avoided most but killed some of the trash mobs, and killed Taragaman.

My dear Alliance warrior went there flying. Fly way up above all guards to coords:
/way 57 51
Then you are above the entrance of the Cleft of Shadows. Facing west, dive down and enter. When you get in, make a left 180 degree turn and you'll see the entrance.
75 Linen cloths, some fun loot and an achievement! Woop woop!

Alliance warrior. I did it the hard way. Took the left entrance in to the city. Was killed 6 times as I progressed to the entrance. I could hear the grunts attacking my molecules as I transported in to the instance but I reemerged on the other side unscathed. Had to check all my body parts first. Nice to finally get the achievement.

I just soloed the whole instance on my Blood elf prot warrior lvl 35. Non twink. He only has some green iron armor and a few quest armor items on. Even Taragaman and Bazzalan who have about 8900hp weren't that tough. They got me down to only about half way before I killed them. Just used Sunder Armor 3x, rend, Tclap and shield slam for every enemy. Once in a while I used HS and cleave.

If you're farming this place for Swiftness Potion recipe, don't waste your time looting the golems and worms, unless you're looking for linen or a different drop.
It seems the Searing Blade mobs and Ragefire Troggs have the highest (and possibly the only) drop rates for it. The drop rates are terrible, so check the AH frequently as well for some.
Happy hunting.

2. Warchief Thrall in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar gives a chain that ends in RFC (hidden enemies)
3. Neeru Fireblade right outside the instance gives one.
4/5. Some1 on the elder rise of Thunder Bluff gives 2 quests (he is not in the main tent on the elder rise, is in a smaller one)

For those who are wondering around what level you can be to solo this, I soloed it with my 27 Warrior. Given this is my first time playing a warrior, I am sure people can do it at a lower level than this. I ran through with dual-wield 15+ DPS swords and a little over 1200 armor. On a few mobs I had to pot simply because I didn't play it right. I ended up getting 4-5 gold from the greens in the AH and took 45 minutes to an hour (killing everything in the instance).

Hello. I'm Groklah, the level 37 Orc Shaman that some of you may have or have not encountered. I'm here to tell you about how to conquer the Ragefire Chasm.
It's the easiest instance in the game, allowing players to go in by the level of 8. However, the suggested level is 13-18. Many of you will have fun times with your friends during this first instance!
However, due to it's relative position in the Horde city of Orgrimmar, it's considered Horde-only. This will introduce players to the instance system. I'm here to do just that!
Let's start.
At first, the enemies will be very simple. Level 12-13 (maybe even 14) Earthborer worms and at least one Lava Elemental are around the starting area. The Earthborers can hit like a truck, and they have an even worse trick (Earthborer Acid) that works like Sunder Armor. It stacked onto me about 3 times, and the armor reduced is absurd. It may even cause nature damage! This means doom for clothies, so keep them tanked at all times. The acid is only annoying to guys with mail.
The Elemental doesn't do very much. He just smashes the earth with his fists trying to do actual damage to you. Take him out with a tank.
There will be another Earthborer to the right, and one just up the path. Use a tank to destroy them, and protect the clothies. Remember, you can't dispel the acid (at least in no form that I know of), so that doubles the trouble.
2-3 more Earthborers will stand before you. Take them down the same you did with the previous four.
Soon, once you've looted your precious Gelatinous Goo and Slimy Ichor, you'll face an immense army of Ragefire Troggs and Ragefire Shamans. There will be one Shaman patrolling up and down, so rest and buff. Take down the patrolling Shaman with little difficulty, as long as he doesn't pull anyone else. Move onto the large army next.
3-4 Troggs (one may be a Shaman--they all look the same)will be waiting for you at the start of the Trogg wave. Troggs hit like hell, and are difficult to take down. You'll need as much damage as you can dish out. Off-tanks will be useful here, but protect your softer at all costs. If a shaman wearing cloth (or weak leather) is your only healer and he dies, this may spell doom upon your party. The key to this is to keep as many softer targets as you can alive.
There will be 3-4 Troggs on either side of the passageway when you kill the initial wave. You may undoubtedly pull them, unaware that you have, so rest and buff before attacking. There will also be Troggs in the middle, though there's only one every 15 feet or so. Make Trogg blood splatter on the ground, and make sure they aren't your healer's blood. Continue killing Troggs as you move on through the passageway. The Trogg lairs to the left and right are optional. There will be two Troggs guarding the passageway upwards: thet's where you want to go. Kill them easily, then continue.

Ragefire Chasm's is great for low lv's
Where as it has little to offer in items eg. few blues
Its good for exp
Ragefire chasm is a very quick dungeon and with teh rigth guild you can get multiple boosts plus lv's
Where as you can enter and do ragefire chasm at lv 8, do get the most from it unless your a twink do it at 12+, as the blue drops are 13+ generally
plus exp below that is low(around 20 per kill) where as you can get mutiple lv's after 12
Its very easy to do, and only has around 9 different types of enemys
The worms in their are easy and generally alone
The Fire/Rock elementals are easy, however spellcasters should know their immune to all fire magic
The troggs are easy, however are generally in clusters of 3+
Their are 2 troggs, shaman and normal
You should take the shamans first as they can heal and cast lightning bolt
There is a trogg boss in a place, however he drops no blue and simply guards part of a quest
After the troggs there is a large room of fire/rock elementals, pull them slowly as their immune to fire magic, which can slow down the battle
next is a large chamber of around 9 platforms, The surrounded 8 having 3-5 enemys on them, who are all orcs except for 1
1)There are warrior like gaurds, who patrol and gaurd bridges
Their only problem is sheild bash, which stuns you temporarily
2)orc cultists are easy, with lower hp than the gaurds
3)orc warlock's are annoying, as they can cast shadow bolt and always have a demon summoned
4)The voidwalker is the warlocks pet demon, and are easy as their non elite and have low hp, hower get annoying in a situation of 3 elites + voidwalker
At a higher lv warlocks can learn to banish thse demons, however only people boosting would do this
The center platform holds the first proper boss
He will drop a blue item, and has quest to slay him and take his heart
he has relativly high hp around 1800
Hes annoying as he has a spell that chucks surrounded enemys in the air, which can effect aggro
Also becareful as usually a orc warrior patrols close to him, which can grab aggro and join in the fight
After slaying and looting the boss, you need to head over to the north-east platform
Infront of you should be a large room with sevaral groups of enemys
First should be 3 orcs gaurded the entrance
Take the warriors first to avoid sheildbash
Once their cleared run up to the top and take out a second group of orcs consisting of a Warlock, cultist and gaurd
Now there are only 3 enemys left
which are 2 cultists and the final boss
The final boss is a powerful orc warlock, who has no demon but high health and mana
take the 2 add ons gaurding him first to deplete damage taken, then focus on the final boss
he drops either a dagger, or a cloth or mail bracers
Congratulations youve completed ragefire chasm

Just got here with my level 60 human priest and thought I'd add a couple of things that a level 60 probably should have known before running through Orgrimmar by himself:
1) Expect to die. This means taking off all your nice armor/weapons while riding through the city. Repair bills aren't fun.
2) If you die on the first road, right before you get to The Drag, don't try to be clever and Resurrect on top of those buildings to your right. There are high level (question mark for me but I'm guessing they're lvl75) elites who are in stealth and will kill you from a distance with one shot.
3) If you're dead and haven't entered the instance yet, don't try to run into the instance while you're a ghost.....this is actually good to know in general. I was close to the instance and I was trying to plan my route, while saying to myself, "run down here, jump and then I'll just walk into the instance".....I actually tried walking into the instance as a ghost. At this point I was ported back to the graveyard :\ Don't do it because....
4) Because they send you back to the graveyard all the way in the middle of Durotar instead of the graveyard right outside of Orgrimmar. It's a little extra annoyance walking the extra distance, especially when you didn't even die.
That's about it. I hope you don't repeat some of the stupid things that I did. So if you Alliance players decide to go for this achievement, good luck and watch this video until you understand the route completely:

To get into Ragefire Chasm as an Alliance it's now a huge pain in the rear!
You ready for all this?
There are several quest chains you need to do. But once all this is finally all done, you can get into Orgrimmar with out much hassle.
I tried this just three days after patch 3.2 released so I had some issues.... Here are the quests you will need to do:
Step 1: The Lost Courier
Step 2: Of Traitors and Treason

Hehe, I just charged in at 2pm in the afternoon, as an 80 alliance. Fortunatly the guards couldn't keep up with me and the hordies in the city either wern't interested in attacking me or had other things on their minds. Mind you Alliance outnumber Horde condsiderably on our server (Darkmoone Faire, WoW europe)so there wern't many hordies in the city. Admitidly I rolled a quick lev 1 Orc to find the exact location though. *laugh*
Quick fun run for achivement though.
*smiles*

Don't get cocky and think you can round up the entire instance at lvl80 then FoK the lot of them in one go. Once you get 30+ of the orcs on you they'll knock you down so much you won't be able to do a damn thing.
Not that I wiped in RFC at lvl80 or anything...
:P

do I or do I not have to do all those quests to be allowed into the instance?
Anyone know?

Solo'd as an 80 Prot warrior. Had some difficulties, but I pulled through. It was tough. Not reccomended for anyone under level 67. Death may occur, some restrictions may apply.

Funny thing: As I was researching as to how I could get into this instance, the instance let me in. I couldnt enter after 20 times trying, I went past the blue wavey entrance part of the instance, went into shadow meld, and got onto thottbot to try to figure it out. As I was looking at the info right here on this page, the instance let me in. So, it just may be a matter of waiting.

Can confirm RFC still the best place for Linen Cloth. I did the saucy run through Org from the West entrance with my Human Pally (lvl 66 slow mount still lol but didn't die) ran RFC 3 times and came out with 266 linen for my alt. Skipped anything that wasn't a humanoid, regularly got 5 linen per mob.
