You can get 2 points into this talent at level 41. I look forwards to seeing if this talent could result in a hunter defeating a higher level (and granted, inobservant) caster by reflecting 5 seconds worth of their own spells back into their face.

Even with the stamina on gear increase, a shaman who popped an Elemental Mastery fueled Lava Burst followed by a Chain Lightning and perhaps an additional Lightning Bolt will definitely feel the results. And that's not even accounting for Lightning Overload! (presuming that can be deflected/reflected by deterrence)

I recently tested this talent in the PTR, and for those of you who were wondering: Yes, it does reflect ANY spell cast at you when it is up, including Fear (Warlock Fear), DoTs (Lock dots all tested, include UA), Haunt followed by DoTs (Didn't check to see if warlock still got health return from it's corruption/haunt, presume not though, definitely affected by the 20% increased shadow damage from haunt though), Icy Touch, Death Coil, Entangling Roots, Living Bomb + Frostfire Bolt (Glyphed)/Pyroblast Followed by Combustion (Now that was entertaining ^^). It also reflects the attack from a Searing Totem and Imp Firebolt

Still need to check on how it effects Death Grip...

Edit: To clarify, these were all targeted spells, I'm presuming based on similarities to other spell reflects that it has no effect on aoe.

No, death grip works through deterrence :(

Mirrored Blades does reflect Death Grip, except it pulls the DK towards the hunter. Which is only slighty useful if it confuses the DK.

This talent appears very useful either when used by very skilled players or while facing very unskilled players.

When fighting skilled players, they'll obviously stop casting spells on you while deterrence is up since it serves no purpose, so nothing will be reflected. But, what you can do is reflect important skills when you know they're coming, for example you see a mage casting polymorph on you. Pop deterrence just before it goes off, and you've got a full polymorph on the mage, maybe he'll blow trinket or ice block or maybe you can get a kill on one of his teammates. Or you can try to reflect big nukes like starfire, or CC like hex/polymorph.

Then after reflecting the spell quickly /cancelaura Deterrence. But if you think you'll be using this spell defensively then there's no point putting points here.

There's no need for me to explain what happens when you fight an unskilled caster with this talent ;)

I'm confused about this talent's position in the talent tree... Why do we get it at 39 when Deterrence is available at level 78?

Seems a tad stupid.. or is it just me?
