I got interested in this and as a lvl 60 rogue I wanted to test if this is any good.

I use the 8/8 bloodfang set and have so far managed to get 1440 attack power and 316 spellpower (With Talisman of Ephemeral power I get 491 spellpower = 541 heal each sec for 6 sec) = 366 heal each sec for 6 sec. I've been trying it out for a while and I'm managing to pull out about 750 dps steady as a sub rogue on target dummy.( I do use the lvl 60 pvp 1h mace for an additional 169 Spellpower, and my dps will ofcourse suffer from this).
I'm not sure of the proc rate of this but it has no internal cd, sometimes it refreshes before the buff is consumed and it is up quite alot. Since there seem to be no internal cd for it to proc I would suggest using fast weapons rather than slow ones. I have not yet tested the difference enough.

On target dummy I managed to do 275k Damage(750dps steady) and the bloodfang healed me for 52k total.

I am yet to test this further and I will try to improve my spellpower gear to extend the amount I'm getting healed.

Intellect items I use: Ring 1 slot, Ring 2 slot, Trinket 1 slot, Trinket 2 slot, 1 Weapon slot(pvp spellpower mace), Neck slot.
The only possible slot I do not use an intellect item is back. I am yet to find an intellect back.

2 weapons. each weapon 1.2 - 1.5 attack speed. = a LOT of procs.

WTF is wrong with Blizzard itemisation. Only headpiece, pants and bracers are worth using over NS.. atleast with our DKP prices.. :S

From the way this reads it looks like it hits for 283 to 317 every second for 6 seconds. My guess is that is hoping a little too much though =)

I have seen rogues obsessed w/getting the full NS gear...well, the set bonuses frankly aren't too impressive for me.

25% aggro reduction=25% more damage I can perform. period.

basically a 5% lifesteal? w/all the agi/crit bonus w/good str? I'll take it!

poison proc? well, in MC that's not too impressive, but in BWL...pretty handy

BF is far better than NS. The only debate is this: drop rate for BF is substantially smaller than other gear for BWL. This hurts, and it takes bunches of time to gather the full set...

My suggestion (and the juncture I'm at right now): get your 5-piece, then advance to using perd/DFB so you don't aggro accidentally, or basically nerf your DPS based on aggro. Wait until you can use the full power of very powerful DPS, use your loot tables to prep for it, and make a happy raid re: rogues.

Except that 25% more aggro reduction on fient isnt even near 25% Since its on a 10 second scooldown however it is pretty good

I wouldn't mind using SnD, and Blade flurry to get some wicked speed, and be using instant poisons (with instant poison 5/5)

You'd be procing your poisons insanely, and you'll be having a better chance at healing yourself with your speed.

Imagine having 8 parts of Bloodfang, Darkmoon Card: Heroism, SnD and Blade Flurry on and a lifestone in the other trinket slot. You'd be able to get on top 10 in healing meters :D
