This guy's located at the bottom of the stairs, once you see them you'll know what I'm talking about.

He only shows up After you complete the event though, so you have to go through killing off the mobs from the top of the stairs all the way down, etc before he will show up.

I soloed the showdown against swarming trolls, and killed Nekrum Gutchewer with my lvl 68 Affliction Warlock with VW.
I'm sure lvl 60+ players can solo this 'cuz the guys you set free lend their hands to get rid of trolls. One of them even use CC to lessen the bloodshed.

To make it crystal clear, the sequence of events is:

You release Sergeant Bly and his companions from the cages. This triggers the event where the mob of trolls spawns at the bottom of the stairs. After you kill the first wave, Bly will yell, "Let's move forward!" Once this happens, Nekrum will spawn at the base of the stairs, directly in front of the sculpture/fountain thing. Next to him will be Shadowpriest Sezz'ziz.

52 Protection paladin with 2 heirlooms and some blues

I soloed all the way to these stairs and killed the shadowpriest while the companions attacked Nekrum. I got the killing blow or something but was not able to loot him. Probably because they took 90% of his life.

Damnit.

The Troll that only dies to Magic at 20% isnt Nekrum, he is Thekyl the Martyr. Can we get any confirmation as to where Nekrum is? does he spawn during the Divinomatic quest? I've done it numerous times and never seen him.

ran ZF last night with 4 guildies =o) Had a great run, but disconnected on the stair fight =`( By the time i had managed to log back on, Nekrum had been killed and ofc I couldnt loot him. He had been in the melee, and only I was after him - easy to miss!

So will change our strat next time. I guess /target <name> will do as otherwise its easy to miss him. I'm a hunter so can keep spamming him till hes targeted, then send my pet to get a mark on him whilst others carry on on the stairs. Lets hope it works =-)

we finish its qwest together im rogue lvl 47 and hunter lvl 70 so easy

I had the quest to get the guy's medallion, no others in ZF. Had to watch carefully for him, right near the "fountain" on the third wave or so. I just went down and nailed him though he was surrounded by many mobs. Looted him and rushed back up the stairs before my bubble ran out.

Check the other post on the "Nekrum's Medallion" quest... says he's in the 3rd wave of the slave attack.

while the others where fighting the other guys in the wave I was soloing this guy he is not very good against a sieries of exorsisms but I mainly used judge of crusader seal of command consecration and exorsism when he got weak enought I used hammer of wrath that pretty much killed him badly also my sword had enchant: fire on it so it was damaging everything around me (over all the battle was fun)

I belive i saw him when we did the Divino-Matic rod quest , hes one of the elites in the group at the end

Even If I dont have the quest (divino) - But I started the waves of attack - Nekrum will show up?

I started the waves of attack freeing the prisioners, but the troll aren't there in the crowd!

I dont have the quest Divino-Matic - only Medallion, But I need the Medallion..

the question was...WHERE IS HE? I don't want to know HOW YOU KILLED HIM. I want to know HOW TO FIND HIM IN ZUL FARRAK. Can someone pleeeeeeeez stick to the subject and give directions?

You do not have to have the "Divine-o-matic" quest to get his medallion. You have to kill the Executioner to get his key and free the captives. After your fights when the party moves down the stairs, Nekrum is by the fountain. Target him and attack and kill him. He will drop the medallion :) Good luck!
