The name is probably a reference to "The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening" the roc feather was an item that allowed you to jump.

You can find a group of 5 Rocs in the Abyssal Sands at 49,36 (They drop more buzzard wings than the birds in the badlands)

After the patch this now comes with ability Dive(Rank 2). No Resists, and I'm doubtful the Fire Roc still has its resists too, since the pet nerf patch a while back. Can anyone confirm?
