Lady Naz'jar is the first boss in the instance Throne of the Tides. She has a couple of nice abilities, the first being Shock Blast. This is interruptible and does a lot of damage to the target, so interrupt it! She will also spawn blue circles under a random party member. This will erupt into a pillar of water, which does a lot of damage, so like always move out of it. Around 60% she will put herself in a shield of water and spawn three mobs. Two of them are casters and will cast chain lightning and lighting bolt. You should probably take those out first. The other add is a melee that will enrage at 30%. Whenever you take those out the boss will come out of the shield. If you are not fast enough she will come out after channeling the shield. She will do this again at 20%. After you kill her you get a small surprise and then its off to the second boss.

She also does this Fungal Spore under a random member of the group. this is a disease that deals about 10k nature dmg every 2-3 secs for 15 sec or so. Step away from it asap

Abilities:
Fungal Spores – Hurls deadly fungal spores at a random target, exploding on impact in a 0 yard radius. Any targets caught within this radius take 10000 Nature damage every 3 sec for 15 sec.
Geyser - Summons a Geyser at a random player’s location. After 5 seconds, this Geyser errupts, dealing 23750 to 26250 Frost damage and knocking back all enemies within 0 yards of the target area.
Shock Blast – Blasts the target with lightning, dealing 141375 to 158625 Nature damage.
Waterspout – Creates a whirling vortex of water, periodically knocking back enemies within 0 yards. In addition, the whirling water will deflect any spells cast at the caster and cause all ranged attacks to miss. Lasts 1 min.
Notes:
At 66 and 33% she casts Waterspout and moves to the centre of the room. At this stage 3 adds wills spawn. 2 Casters and 1 Melee. The two casters should each be CCed, as they cast chain lightning which will rip a group apart. The melee can then be focused down.
While any of the adds are alive, and the boss has her Water Shield active, mini water tornados will spawn on the boss, about 5 at a time, and then proceed to move outwards towards the edge of the room. These must be avoided, as if they contact a player, that player becomes ‘stunned’ and is carried to the edge of the room while taking a steady stream of damage.
Interrupt Shock Blast as it will one shot an undergeared Tank.
This ability is on what seems to be a 30 seconds CD, which makes it fine for MM Hunters and or Mages to interrupt.

Can her fungal spores actually hit more than one person? "0 yard radius" is kind of a confusing description.

On heroic you just burn her down similar to normal. She throws out spores that you dodge and casts water geysers that you move out of when the swirl effect appears but before they erupt you into the air (about 5 seconds or less). She also casts Shock Blast about every 8 seconds or so which you need to interrupt, it can one-shot a tank that isn't at full health in solid gear.
At 66% and 33% she summons two casters and a melee. We burned down the melee and CC'd both casters (glyphed fear, hex, Ice trap, and Curse of Tongues as a backup in case they got free). The boss is immune in this phase until you kill the adds. She also has water whrilwinds moving around that, if you touch them, sweep you up and stun you for a while and do damage.
Good luck.

Heroic basics:
Interrupt Shock blasts or pay your tank for {repair costs} x {number of attempts}.
Dispel poisons. It is visibly GREEN.!
MOVE OUT OF THE FIRE! or in this case the spinning geyser on the ground before it erupts.
CC caster adds if possible in phase transitions before killing them. If you cant. kite the big guy and nuke casters first.
Take the adds over geysers for fun and achievement.
Stay away FROM MORE FIRE! .. or in this case the big tornado surrounding her. (Water Spout).
Stay away FROM EVEN MORE AND MORE FIRE! .. and in this case the water tornado that will start from her and move slowly in a straight line to the place you were when she casts it.
Rinse, repeat then rinse again.
For specific info on actual damage there is the abilities section.
Our setup :
Rogue = kick + stun casters during transition phase.
Pala tank = tank and kite big guy over geysers.
Hunter = Trap caster.
Warlock = Fear other caster.
Pala healer = the dancing cow.

Her Shock Blast is reflectable on normal! I have yet to test it out on Heroic, since I generally waste my Shield Wall cooldown when a DPS interrupts it..

pretty much freeloot on heroic:
first phase, dont stand in bad stuff, remember to remove poison, interrupt her Shock Blast
second phase, cc the caster adds, kill the melee or just tank him and kill casters first(for achievement wait for the phase to end and have him at low hp to kite him in a whirl)
didnt even need bloodlust for her.
MAKE SURE YOU CC THE CASTERS, their chain lightning hurts sooner or later

On Heroic Mode, you MUST interrupt her Shock or she will kill your Tank.
Water Spouts must be avoided for the Knock up.
She will spawn 1 water tornado in the first Waterspout phase she goes into, In the second Waterspout phase she will spawn 2 Water tornadoes. Do Not get in them, they will do a DoT and have the potential to knock you into one of the holes, which will kill you as well.

Lady Naz'jar's Waterspout ability she uses to protect herself while the adds are present also happens to affect the adds, meaning any ranged DPS can easily handle the melee add that spawns on their own by putting Naz'jar between the add and themselves, as she'll keep knocking him back every time he tries to run through her barrier.

My first run into H-ToT, we did a couple of tries with our Shadow Priest Mind Controlling one of the caster adds while the Warlock put a Glyphed Fear on the other. While the extra damage output from the MC'd caster helped bring down the other mobs pretty fast, in the end, we decided MCing one was more of a liability than a benefit since the Priest was unable to move away from the water tornadoes... which would break his MC and most likely, he would die. I would not recommend using Mind Control as a form of CC in this encounter unless you have no other choice. Mind Control is good on the trash in this instance, but definitely not on this fight.

If you are a Holy priest talented into Spirit of Redemption and a wipe is imminent,
make sure you are not the last one to die in this fight
. If you do die and spawn your Spirit of Redemption form, click it off immediately if it's a wipe. Being in angelform as the "last one standing" causes the boss to reaggro for only a brief instant and reset, and for some reason this causes the boss's doors to remain shut after she respawns. Your group will be completely unable to finish the instance.

something i believe happened on heroic TotT. She used a geyser, and before me and another DPS could move away from it, she went into waterspout phase and the geyser activated less than a second after being placed. in other words, her waterspout made geyser go off instantly.
could use some confirmation, as i'm not 100% positive.

On heroic:
The hardest parts of this fight, by far, are the add phases. Save all your cooldowns for those.
Here's the magic secret: During the add phases, move to the outside edge of the room and position your camera so you can see the boss. This makes it possible to see the water whirlers headed for you, and easy to dodge them. You MUST dodge them, especially if you're the healer. This is more important than anything else you're doing, because you're going to stop doing that anyway when you're stunned and spinning out of control.
Seriously. Focus on dodging the little water things, and everything gets a lot easier. It's the most important part of the fight. She aims them at you, so you have to pay attention, or you
will
be hit.
Yes, crowd-control two of the adds if you can. If not, crowd-control one of the casters and tank the other two. The melee add has a lot of health, but doesn't do a lot of damage to the tank, and only hits the tank. It spawns at the north end of the room, and the casters spawn at the southeast and southwest "corners."
Yes, interrupt/silence the casters. They hurt. A lot.
Yes, burn down all the adds before she gets tired of waiting for you and attacks with adds up.
Yes, interrupt the shock blast. Make sure to assign this job to someone.
Yes, dispel the disease, if you can.
Yes, move out of the water spouts.
That's everything. Do all this, and you win. Otherwise, she's easily the hardest boss fight in there.

For Death Knights, apparently you can now use Dark Simulacrum on her Shock Blast and release it upon her or her adds for a lot of damage. Mine dealt 88K uncrit back at her.

Just soloed her today in 383 gear as a Fury Warrior. Pretty cool fight, though of course the one I beat her in I was clinging to dear life. The previous attempt I tried I had full health nearly the full time, just that her waterspouts got me at the end... Just have to keep that damage up and avoid things. Killed a mage naga, the warrior, then the last mage in that order so you can victory rush off them all ;).

Just soloed as 378 (333 weapon :<) feral druid. I would definitely advise talenting for the 10 second interrupt, although its possible to do without it. If you find yourself low on health a good tactic to use is to run in and out of her line of sight when she tries to cast shock blast while healing yourself - ALMOST saved me the first two times :P If you come with the intention of soloing her, do what I didn't and talent for Brutal Impact.

Solo'd as 392 Pve Geared, Pvp spec'd Frost Mage on Normal difficulty. (No Invocation Talent, No Deep Freeze Glyph)
Also
I believe that the Mysterious Egg is 100% Drop from her on normal difficulty
. I think I'm 4/4 on drops from her, so I could also just be extremely lucky. If someone could confirm, that would be great.
Turns out I was just lucky, just killed her, didn't get one. Not a 100% drop.
Tips on soloing for mages
: Blow Time Warp / Icy Veins / Trinkets / and Mirror Images on pull. Use Deep Freeze and Pet Nova on the boss on cooldown. Counterspell Shock Blast and avoid her Geyser by moving.
As Water Spout is casting, get ready to use Ring of Frost on the first set of adds. Drop the outer edge on one of the ranged adds and position yourself where the melee add will run into the ring and become frozen as well. Kill the second unfrozen ranged add, Polymorph the first frozen ranged add (as the ring of frost will be wearing off at this point), and then dps down the melee add. Evocation w/ Glyph (and bandage if needed) and then kill the Polymorphed ranged add. You may only want to use Counterspell during the beginning of this phase on the first ranged add, because it may not be up for a Shock Blast if you use it late.
Use Ice Barrier again, and then Cold Snap and Icy Veins again as Waterspout is wearing off, this dps phase is the hardest part of the fight since your Mirror Images are still on cooldown. (If you don't have Counterspell up for a Shock Blast, you can Ice Block the Shock Blast during this phase. I would also advise using the full Ice Block to let your pet get a couple extra hits on the boss, and tank her for a few seconds.) Your Cold Snap timing can be adjusted if you decide you want to use 2 Ice Blocks during this phase for extra pet damage (As well as Deep Freeze and Ice Barrier).
When you reach the second Water Spout, repeat the same Ring of Frost tactic used on the first phase of adds. After you finish this add phase, your Mirror Image cooldown should be available again, and should be an easy kill on the boss from here on out.
Good luck, hope this helps you fellow mages =)

Should be obvious a hunter can easily solo her, but some help for those uncertain.
As a 373 geared BM hunter with no set bonuses, I've soloed her six times now(duo if counting pet but let's face it, who does that?) and received 2 eggs. First time I did so with a spirit beast and nearly died, second with a beetle who I switched for the spirit beast on the second wave due to low health, third I went with the beetle and successfully killed her taking 0 damage myself. I've strictly been using the beetle since, and will continue to do so.
Getting to her
: You can Camo past EVERYTHING on the first floor. If you're fast enough, I've noticed the Jellyfish doesn't seem to take as long to come down, either, possibly from not wasting time killing the Sentinel. I've found it's FAR easier to START with the double healer pull. Just camo past the first two groups, trap one of the healers, call out a pet(ferocity works wonders for quickly bursting them), waste one, then the other, then proceed to destroy the other two groups. Just tank the murlocs yourself as proper use of traps, MD, disengage and multishot make them jokes(Bonus: Fox aspect with them hitting you and you can spam shots all day on the elites). After that hall you can safely camo past and skip everything again, even the pull directly inside her room.
Her phase
: If you want to be safe, it takes just a bit longer, but put on Fox aspect and proceed to run around the room in circles like an idiot spamming Cobra/SS, Arcane, etc etc. I'd HIGHLY recommend a tank(Tenacity) pet as unless you're MM you can't, to my knowledge anyways, interrupt her shock blast which was taking about 60-70% of my Spirit Beasts health off, and still about 50% with Cower up. The beetle, however, was laughing at the damage, even without Shell or Cower on. If you're running around there's basically 0% chance she'll hit you with her water or poison(Which HURTS LIKE HELL if it lands on you even in higher level gear). If poison hits you, swap to Wild immediately.
Add phases
: At 60% and 30% she'll bubble and summon her adds. Traps are required to safely deal with these. Directly in front of the walls of water inside her room, you should see the blue ring around her has a small gap between the golden pattern on both sides which almost looks like it has a small golden 'point' pointing inward towards it. Drop a freezing trap on one of the gaps and a Immo on the other (add snakes for extra lols). Remember, the middle one does not have one, so don't trap that area. Make sure your traps are all down at about 65% and, when she bubbles, drop target completely and hit MD. Take caution as even with MD it likes to be a bit buggy and I got aggro at the start of the add phase. Feel free to use Hawk if you aren't already on this as you don't need to be moving. The only thing you should be getting hit by during add phase is the occasional spell by the caster(Not chain lightning) though clever FD, Shadowmeld, Scatter, etc can prevent that, too.
That about sums it up. Just remember to Mend Pet whenever it ends, don't get hit by ANYTHING during her phase, and save cower/shell abilities for your pet for her Blast. I'd say to save cooldowns for the adds since that was about the most difficult part, though I'm wary of even using the word 'difficult' so long as you know what you're doing. I'd recommend a turtle or beetle, but I personally feel any tank pet with at least Silverback should be able to, as I don't even use the Mend Pet glyph.
Edit* Quick tips: Dismiss your pet when using Cammo as it likes to run a bit too far to the side when passing those close groups. Don't be afraid of skipping the pull before her as I wasn't able to pull them even running inches from the wall she puts up. I'd advise against running that close anyways, just in case, since you shouldn't need to, though. After she dies you can run around the pull before her without even aggroing them unless you mess up, flip the switch, open the gates, camo past the boss and groups, and hit the TP to be out within a minute.
