Keep your eyes open after turning in quests to this fruitcake. Sentinel Selarin may appear right next to Terenthis and offer Trek to Ashenvale. It seems to me that there might be a number of ways to get Trek to Ashenvale. All of them involve turning in a quest to Terenthis.
BTW my toon is a Level 21 Warlock Gnome.
