Unless he's being changed from the PTR, he only has a single special attack, a mortal-strike like debuff that reduces healing done by 5%. It didn't stack on out tank, so it was pretty heal through, even as a non-holy paladin.

Crits for 3.4k on my ravager pet (specced purely for pvp, not tanking), we almost 3-manned him with a pet tank, but chain crits got him. If i had my boar, would've been doable.

Patrol path as timed from when he left one end of his path to when he returned is about 12 minutes.

He doesn't have only 45k HP, has more then 130k, arround 130-135k.

Hits arround 1k-1.5k in 11.8k armor, prot war.

Compared to the other two Sons of Gruul necessary for the group quest line leading to Orgrila, Maggoc is cake.

Clear a spot in his patrol path so you aren't bothered with local trash mobs and start spanking him. No noticeable knockbacks and appx 1500hp hits on an averagely equipped L70 tank.

He does a debuff that reduces healing on the tank, but it may be bugged because it seems like the kind of debuff that would normally stack. His version doesn't, so roll on and drop him without much fuss.

He's a boss, so fear and snares are no good if you were thinking of kiting.

He also has two abilities which hit a random ranged target, a boudler that hits for about 1k and dazes, and an underground burrowing attack that knocksback. Neither is particularly dangerous, but adds + people bunched up could spell trouble, so spread out just to be safe.

maggoc (aka the bane of my existence) is a nice fellow, usually fun to party with, though he becomes an annoyance when he is super ultra attracted to you and decides to kill you constantly.

A nuisance if you're farming the raptors and serpents along his route, but fortunately he de-aggros very easily. Worth making a run for it, especially if you can bubble.

Solod as a lvl 78 holy paly, took 6 minutes, the mortal strike stacks up atleast 7 times, I used bubble and blessing of protection when it stacked too high. Also he enraged at about 4.5 minutes doing 30% faster attacks, and 21 more damage. The enrage went away after about a minute tho

Soloed as 80 Blood DK... used one trinket with atk power CD and my 2 min pet. Got me to 80 pct health. Took about 3 min.

Just soloed as a 77 tankadin in northrend blues...was a peice of cake...avg hit for about 230 or so against 22.2k armor...stuck with SoL and JoL and used Divine Plea to help with mana...fight ended in about 2-3 mins with 100% mana and 99% Life using no pots heals or CD's just SoL JoL Holy Sheild exorcism HotR and SoR

EDIT:...Relised he DOES hit me for about 1k dmg on avg...reduced to 230ish when i have Holy Sheild active(?)...someone care to explain that one?

A piece of cake for a lv 80 rogue.

equip preparation spec with a glyph of evade

stealth into melee range, pop evasion/blade flurry and an extra attack power trinket (macroed).
Dps away until your 20 secs is almost up then pop preparation/evade (macroed) to give you another 20 secs.

Like Grulloc, I killed him without losing ANY HP.

Soloed as a mutilate rogue, hits fairly hard so use Glyph of Evasion if your having problems. Otherwise just burn him down, use all your cooldowns.
I had about 18k hp and 3400 AP.

He has quite a bit of health for a level 70 elite but he isn't very strong. Barely did any damage on me.

I managed to solo him with my lvl 70 BM hunter with half Northrend gear. That was 2 or 3 months ago.
Why BM (beast mastery) ? Because the pet has more talents, so he is much more resistant and has more stamina (so you heal him more). Of course, I also had the 治疗雕文.
How did I proceed ? I have to say I tried kiting first, but stopped after 3 or 4 failed attempts (aggro of other mobs or reset).
So I went to the south-west of his patrol path, and there's a "round" place where there is/are no or very few mobs, near the ogres.
What I basically did is that : send pet, heal, use 扰乱射击 + round kiting when 狂乱 (during this time, the pet's health goes up again, and the 重伤 wears off), -you have to know that when the taunt effect ends, the mob turns back on your pet-. As the Frenzy lasts 30sec, you need to use the shot 2 times.
Use bandage if you take too much damage from 投石 and 擂石.
It took me ~5 min to burn his 140k HP.
I would not say "Fingers in the nose", but quite easy if you know how to do.
I used the same method for Slaag 斯莱格, but did never manage to kill Grulloc 格鲁洛克.
Vim'gol 邪恶的维姆高尔 (after you killed the 3 sons of Gruul) is also do-able solo, did kill him at second attempt.

Today me (a feral tank) and a priest friend of mine downed him in a gloriously epic battle.

He dropped nothing save 35 silver. =P

He's a quest mob for the ogi'la quest line that starts in shatt. He needs 5 ppl to down him now, and has nearly 150k hp, hitting for about 2k white on 12k armor, but very fast,

Easily the most difficult of the three.

Hits 28k armor for about 900-1.1k, sorta fast. Not stunnable, rootable, etc. Didn't try taunt.

Stacks Mortal Wound exactly like 2nd boss BM. Throws boulders at seemingly random targets... does physical damage, and tosses them up in the air.

Duo'd by feral druid and holy priest, the druid partly SSC geared, and the priest Kara+. The damage taken was very regular so priest let me get low, and threw some gheals, and then regened. Boulders can mess this up, but we got lucky. Pocket watch, and some OK dodge luck kept me ~2 wound stacks, and then it dropped off

Took forever, but it's doable... add consumables as necessary.

When you hit level 70, V'eru tha Naaru asks you to speak to an Orge in the Lower City, who in turn sends you to Mor'dorg the Wizened at the Circle of Blood. Mor'dorg then sends you on a series of quests that involve kill the sons of gruul. The first set of three quests contains one asking you to kill this mob for Maggoc's Treasure Chest.

Maggoc leashes to within about 100 yards of the original aggro location even if you constantly hit him or are currently fighting him. Stay near to where you pulled him to avoid that.
